It was a rarity that when the Madam spoke, her expression did not turn for the worse due to Lu Zhaoyang's presence.

The next moment, she pointed towards Wen He and said to Huo Yunting, "Yunting, come over and meet her, she's your future aunt."

"Ah don't call me that, it makes me feel old. Just call me by my name, Wen He!"

She had no guts to be Huo Yunting's senior relative as everything was just a coincidental charade.

Huo Yunting squinted slightly as he swept his gaze between her and Lu Zhaoyang. He diplomatically decided to not say anything and nodded in acknowledgment.

The group then returned to the Huo manor in different cars.

The lunch was sumptuous and the amount of people present too was more than usual.

Now that Huo Chen could see again, the atmosphere was ecstatic, it was almost a celebratory banquet.

On the table, Xue Yuming's eyes leap between Lu Zhaoyang and Huo Yunting from time to time.

Huo Yunting ignored her outright, as he feared that he will have the urge to blow her brains out if he was to look her in the eye.

The atmosphere around the lunch table was joyous but it seemed like there were other sort of gazes as well while everyone entertained their own thoughts.

After lunch, the Madam ordered fruits to be served in the hall.

"Yunting, it's all thanks to Wen He that A Chen's eyes recovered so quickly." The Madam gave the two a pleased look, as the two looked more and more compatible to each other. "They are going to get married soon, so even if you're busy, you must make time for the wedding."

"No problem."

He was ever willing as long as the person was not Lu Zhaoyang.

"And you!" This was the first time the Madam laid her eyes on Lu Zhaoyang. "A Chen's your savior and you too must attend, you hear me?"

Knowing the standing this lady had in her son, he would of course hoped that she would attend and the Madam herself did not mind an extra attendee.

"Yes. I will." Lu Zhaoyang did not want to miss it as well.

Huo Chen could not longer keep quiet. "Mother, didn't you inform the commander that once I had recovered my vision I'll be reporting in. I don't have time, we can keep this for later."

He had no feelings for Wen He and marriage was impossible.

"Don't you worry, I will inform the commander, but your marriage is the most important thing!"

She seemed insistent on them getting married, as she would worry for any sudden changes for every day Lu Zhaoyang was in Z country.

Even Wen He by the side had the urge to interject as well, this old lady—sure is a difficult one!

"I'm in no rush, neither Wen He is. We still need to date for a while longer. We are not planning to get married yet." Huo Chen was adamant.

"Ah—sigh..." The Madam laid on the sofa as her expression darkened. "I don't know how long I have left or if I have the luck to see you marry and have children, and I don't know by the time I meet your father again I'll be able to give him an explanation..."

Huo Chen had no retort against that.

"Mother, give us some time to discuss this before we decide, alright?"

His cold demeanor softened a little as he tone too turned gentler. After all, his mother's age was well advanced and extreme emotions would be bad for her.
