Yan Se looked down and away in a certain direction. "What do you think is the hardest thing to accept for a man?"

Lu Bai did not want to answer the question. But her hand was holding onto his face, and he could not close his eyes; otherwise, it would only show that he was wimpy. He had no choice but to look straight back at her.

Her lips were neither thick nor thin; they were lustrous with stains of cherry water.

Her lips trembled from the anger, and that distracted Yan Se for a moment.

"Are you not talking?"

Not getting his response, she suddenly leaned over and kissed him, covering his lips with her open mouth.

It was sweet—cherry-flavored.

Lu Bai was wide-eyed, and his chest heaved up and down.

There went his first kiss.

But little did he know that it was also Yan Se's first kiss. His lips seemed to be a delicious pudding in the eyes of some foodie.

She could not help but let her feelings run loose.

What was her hand doing?

Yan Se immediately let off her mouth and sucked her teeth. "You are a dog—you bit me?"

"Get out!"

Lu Bai was very nervous and did not want to face it.

How could a woman be the one to make the move to tease and kiss him? He was a man, Lu Bai thought.

It is a complete humiliation to him.

"Eh?" Yan Se felt something amiss. She looked down and was amused. "Yeah, I think I had better go."

Yan Se got up. "Young man, you stay put. I thought you had a clean mind. But apparently, you don't. It was just a kiss. Yet, testosterone has pretty much flooded your brain."

She waved her hand and walked away, shaking her head as she went.

The door slammed shut with a loud bang. Lu Bai breathed a sigh of relief and closed his eyes.

When he finally came out of his daze, his ego took over. He just could not stomach the insult.

In less than five minutes, the video cam system of Lu Bai's computer was hacked, and the image of the person whom he most wanted to crush appeared on the screen.

It was Yan Se.

"I have asked; our men did not catch Chen Jiu. You have to figure it out yourself! Call me if you find any good food to eat next time. Mwah!"

Yan Se blew him a kiss.

Lu Bai still instinctively looked away although he knew that the kiss would not touch him.

"You are damn square and dull!" Yan Se hung up and continued eating her food.

Lu Zhaoyang had no idea of all this. She woke up in the morning and did some stretches. Her hand landed on an empty bed beside her. It did not feel warm at all. Apparently, Huo Yunting did not sleep in the room last night.

Did he really despise her?

Lu Zhaoyang figured that she had better leave now if she did not want to be an eyesore to Huo Yunting.

She grabbed her handbag, went downstairs to only find that Huo Yunting was not home; he had left much earlier than she did.

Her life was pretty dull and mostly gravitating toward Huo Yunting, work, and nothing more.

She could temporarily forget her problems when she was at work.

The weekend was finally over, and Monday was the day that Lu Zhaoyang was most looking forward to.

As soon as she arrived at the office, Xiang Jinxi was already there. He even asked her to go to a business lunch with him.

During lunch, Lu Zhaoyang drank a little wine. Xiang Jinxi sat beside her, looking relaxed and elegant while chatting with his business partners.
