Lu Zhaoyang had something new to do now. She might not know Mu Xian well, but he was Huo Yunting's buddy. She got to prepare some wedding gift.1

Lu Zhaoyang was finally allowed to return to work on Wednesday.

Her first thing to do once back to the office was to report to Xiang Jinxi. She had taken leave for three consecutive days; there went her bonus this month.

Xiang Jinxi was serious at work today, which was a rare sight.

She walked over, and her tone of voice sounded as if she was begging for mercy. "Mr. President, I—"

"That's okay. The Wanluo project has been finalized. Since you are back to work, you will take charge of the signing of the agreement tomorrow. Also, please remember to follow up on Golden Territory project. I have faith in you."

Xiang Jinxi did not make a fuss at all.

"Should I pass the gift to Mu Xian or Zhiyu?"

Huo Yunting looked down at the gift and asked, "What is that?"

"I am not going to tell you!" Lu Zhaoyang looked away with her chin high up in the air; she was a little pissed off.

Mu Xian knew her relationship with Huo Yunting and that there would be interactions between groomsman and bridesmaid sometimes.

Yet, she was not given the role of a bridesmaid.

Huo Yunting looked at her sullen face and said nothing.

He was just asking; why was she so pissed off?

Men really had no idea what's in a woman's mind.

The wedding went on with uninterrupted firework display and balloons of different colors flying off into the air.

Expensive cars were parked outside the manor. It seemed that they were late.

Huo Yunting nosed the car into the manor on the pathway paved with rose petals and beautiful decorations on both sides.

But there was nothing more eye-catching than the oversized poster of the wedding photo.

The man was Mu Xian. But the bride was not Ye Zhiyu but the A-listed female celebrity, Fu Yuhuan.

The car had stopped but Lu Zhaoyang had not recovered from her shock.

She clearly recalled that the sweet couples were the envy of the bachelors, and Mu Xian had been spoiling Ye Zhiyu like no other. Now, what happened?

Huo Yunting got off the car and went straight into the house. It was his buddy's wedding today; he had shed his cold-looking face and recovered his warm smile.
