Lu Zhaoyang came out of the meeting room behind Huo Yunting.

The gossip about the two of them was getting increasingly heated every passing day.

"You're sleepy?" She gently slapped the back of his hands. "I still have something to do. Go sleep yourself. Also, can you actually do something about it, the news about the two of us is just too much, you can probably write a compendium from the stories they made up.

After the matter of their marriage five years back became public, it ignited a storm across the country.

Most of the people actually supported them being together weirdly enough and that it was okay since they are not real siblings or that true love trumps everything.

"If you want me to do something about it, sure, but there must be a reward...." His warm thumb gently caressed her chin. "Take a nap with me."

"To hell with that, I need to go to the court later. I don't have time. I promised to accompany Yazhi to the hearing." She pushed him away. "Do your work well, I'll reward you later at night."

"You mean it?"

"Of course."

"Don't you think the job of accompanying Lin Yazhi should be better suited for Huo Li?"

"My goodness, that's not a place to pick up girls."

Lu Zhaoyang walked past him speechlessly. And by noon, she met up with Lin Yazhi.

Lin Yazhi had not appeared before her for quite some time now and seeing her haggard look, Lu Zhaoyang was upset.

"Big Sis Zhaoyang!" Just as she stepped in, Lin Yazhi hugged her.

"Don't worry, being able to reduce the sentencing period is the best outcome already." She gently patted Lin Yazhi's back, "Lets go in."

The lawyer had already briefed her on the best and worst possible outcome but she hoped everything goes well.

The court proceedings were long and the lawyer had already discussed with Mr Lin. He admitted to the charges and did not contest anything.

Finally, he was sentenced to twenty years in prison.

After leaving the courthouse, Lin Yazhi tried to force out a smile. "Big Sis Zhaoyang, this is a result both dad and I can accept, I'll get back to work tomorrow."

"No hurry, you've been pretty tensed these whole while, go take some more time off, or let Huo Li bring you out for a trip or something."

Lu Zhaoyang smiled as she dropped the suggestion before seeing a familiar vehicle before the gate. She waved then at Lin Yazhi "I'll head off first."

Lin Yazhi stood before the courthouse gate and saw her got into the car. And just as she was about to leave, a hand appeared from behind and patted against her shoulder.

"AHHH...." She turned around in shock, "Goodness, Huo Li, you want to scare me to death?!"

"You're sure a scaredy-cat. I just saw you looking glum so I came to accompany you. Lets go."

Huo Li's big hands pushed her back.

He let her go seeing that she had followed along.

"Since when you were that understanding."

"I'm always gentle, it's just you who can't seem to notice."

He was handsome, of good character and well paid as well. She was blind to not notice his good points.

"I'm not in a good mood, not gonna argue with you!"

She was pondering Big Sis Zhaoyang's suggestion and wondered if she should really go on a trip to relax.
