Wen He swallowed whatever that she wanted to say back down her throat and followed him.

On the way, Wen He could not help but think of the matter with Huo Chen simply standing aside previously and gave him a conflicted look.

"Huo Chen, are you being silly? Even though you meant to save me, you should not tell a lie like this, I know Xiao Bai's personality well enough and once he's set on something no one can pull him back, he won't accept your offer of amnesty!"

Huo Chen pretended that he did not hear that and simply strode forward.

That said, it was not particularly hopeful.
