Huo Zhenning had no idea that Madam had followed him in secret as his car sped eastwards. After forty odd minutes of travel, he had arrived at Chestnut Hill.2

In a distance, across a small pathway was a European-styled manor.

Due to the layout of the land, the car could not be driven in, so he could only walk and a few minutes later, he was at the manor.

Nature surrouned him and while it was beautiful, it also felt deserted.

There was no one outside the manor, so he pushed the door and entered, and inside was Xiang Jinxi and his assistant, Tai An.

"Jinxi, I'm here."

Xiang Jinxi was seated on a brown pure leather sofa, his expression aloof.

He threw Huo Zhenning a glance, before pointing to the single seater sofa.

The latter simply followed and sat, and looked at the handsome and prim man. A flash of gladness streaked through his eyes, and said gently, "I'm glad that you're willing to sit down and talk with me for once. I was thoughtless in the past, and made many mistakes. I'm willing to make amends for the pain you had went through, and you should also consider letting go of your gr....."

"Enough!"

Suddenly, Xiang Jinxi rebuked, his tone unusually icy.

Huo Zhenning recoiled in shock, "Jinxi, you..."

Xiang Jinxi too had noticed his temper and killing intent. Taking a deep breath, he tried to suppress the boiling rage within him, and tried to remain calm as possible. "The reason I called you here today, was to talk about Huo Family Corp."

Tai An poured to glasses of Dahongpao tea, and served them before Xiang Jinxi and Huo Zhenning.

Xiang Jinxi picked up the tea glass, and blew against the floating tea leaves before taking a sip.

Seeing him doing os, Huo Zhenning followed suit, never once noticing the coldness in the former's eyes.

"Jinxi, just be frank with me about what you want. But let me tell you upfront, that even if I may owe you plenty, I won't give up the Huo Family Corp."

"Heh."

Without any warning, Xiang Jinxi sneered, and stared at Huo Zhenning, the disdain and hatred in his eyes was like a ice-cold arrow, waiting to impale that bastard!

"..." Huo Zhenning, "What do you mean?"

"Why did I go against the Huo Family Corp?"

Xiang Jinxi put down the tea glass, as he crossed his fingers to support his chin, his demeanour cold, as he looked at Huo Zhenning as if he was looking at a gnat, disdain and ridicule oozing out of his gaze.

"That's because I want you to suffer the same pain and agony as my mother did! In the end, the target of my vendetta is not the Huo Family Corp, but you! And you had not even realize it until now, aren't you an absolute fool?"

Huo Zhenning's expression turned sullen, and stood up. "Seems you had asked for this meeting just to ridicule me, then there's nothing to talk about!"

As he said, he turned away to leave.

"AHAHAH!"

Just as suddenly, Xiang Jinxi stood up slowly, a sinister smile hung by the edge of his lips.

"You actually think that now that you're here, you can escape?"

"..."

A chill went down Huo Zhenning's spine, and he turned his head back. "What do you think...."

Before the complete sentence could leave his mouth, Xiang Jinxi, standing behind him, gave an audible snap of a finger, and as Huo Zhenning heard that, it felt like the grim reaper was closing in on him.

To his horror, he felt his strength seeping away, and he quickly broke into a stride, trying to escape the place.
