"Mr Huo, do you wish to continue?"

He seemed to have sensed Huo Yunting's limit, and purposely added only ten million to the bid, his every word and move reeked of taunts and ridicules.

Huo Yunting, at the center of attention, kept cool, as he pulled out a cigarette, and lit it up, being aloof and flippant as usual.

He clapped his hand as he got up calmly, and said. "Oh pardon me, I had only prepared that much, it's a shame that I'm not able to secure the project. Next time then."

Everyone present was aghast, and even the mayor twitched his eyebrow.

A project that was close to ten billion was just like going to the market for him.

If he can't get it today, he'll just get it another day.

Huo Yunting was unperturbed, and just slightly raised his eyebrow.

"Mr Xiang, I think I have already made myself clear. Do you need me to congratulate you on securing the project?"

"No need." Xiang Jinxi sneered. "Your wishes are beyond me."

"Yeah, thought so." Huo Yunting actually nodded. "So, I do not intend to do so."

"Pffft...."

Someone could not withhold their laughter, and that caused Xiang Jinxi's expression to darken, and his good mood for beating Huo Yunting pretty much disappeared.

He took a deep breath to avoid having the excitement of victory overtake his senses, and turned towards the mayor.

"Mayor Jiang, the results is all but certain now, time for you to announce the winner I suppose?"

Mayor Jiang recovered, and glanced at Huo Yunting, a flash of pity crossing his eyes.

He could only say, Xiang Jinxi hid his cards too well!

"I hereby announce that--"

With the fall of the hammer, he announced. "The port project belongs to Xiangyuan Corp, congratulations, Mr Xiang!"

Clap clap clap.

A series of applause rang out, and Xiang Jinxi's cold face finally broke into a smile.

He quickly walked up the stage, and shook Mayor Jiang's hand, "Mayor Jiang, shall we sign the agreement now?"

After the latter agreed, he swept his gaze down the stage, and landed on Huo Yunting, aloof as ever, without the bitterness of someone losing as he maintained his proud stature.

"Will Mr Huo attend the banquet later?"
