She pushed the broken bone in his leg into its place. Huo Chen barely acknowledged the pain, as though the leg wasn't his.

Before he could finish rejecting her, he noticed that Wen He was staring hard at him with her teary, bloodshot eyes.

She had a look of steely determination and strength.

Huo Chen was moved by what he saw and stopped talking. He let her support him on one shoulder and continued walking.

"There's a cliff in front, not far from here," Huo Chen said and pointed where they were headed. "We can go down from there and meet Son Shou."

Wen He was already in better spirits. She asked, "How high up is the cliff? Can we jump?"

Huo Chen threw her a flat look and said, "It is approximately sixty meters tall."

"Then how can we jump from there? We will die for sure!" Wen He said with a frown.

"Who said anything about jumping?" Huo Chen raised a brow and asked.

"..."

Wen He glared at him with her red, puffy eyes like a pitiful rabbit.

Huo Chen's eyes lit up momentarily with mirth as he explained, "There is a narrow path at one end of the cliff that leads to the bottom of the hill."

"I see."

They continued walking with her supporting him until they reached the cliff.

As Huo Chen had explained, it was quite high up and impossible for them to jump from there.

There were some rocks scattered around near the edge of the cliff, interspersed by greenery. It was actually quite scenic.

Nevertheless, it was dangerous to be so close to the edge.

One might slip and fall to the bottom. It would be a horrible death.

Wen He was about to say something when she heard footsteps heading their way.

She and Huo Chen exchanged a look and said in unison, "There's six of them."

She smiled and grabbed Huo Chen's gun from him. Then, she pushed him behind a large rock to take cover.

Wen He cocked her head, looking confident with herself.

"Let me protect you this time."

She noticed that Huo Chen was about to speak up, so she interrupted, "Shut up or I will knock you out!"

Huo Chen's eyes narrowed slightly. He remembered how she moved and thought she was actually quite capable.

"Good boy."

Wen He smiled in satisfaction and planted a kiss on his lips.

Under Huo Chen's stunned gaze, Wen He stood up and flexed her muscles. Then, she darted out to meet their opponents.

Huo Chen touched his lips, where he had just been kissed. His dark eyes softened in a moment of vulnerability.

However, he quickly gathered himself and followed Wen He's movements.

She was hiding behind another rock, waiting for the six enemies to come closer. When they were about a few meters away, she raised her gun, aimed, and fired!

Bang bang bang!

She fired three shots. All of them found their targets on the enemy foreheads.

All three shots were fatal!

This was her first time killing people, and she had killed three in just the span of a few seconds.

It did not take long before the other three men started shooting back.

Wen He had already taken cover behind the rock once more. When she noticed Huo Chen looking at her, she even gave him a wink.

After awhile, Wen He killed another two of them.
