She took a deep breath and held her flooding emotions back, "You are going back, aren't you?"

"Yup." Xiang Jinxi smiled the moment he replied as he thought of the potential outcome of his plot. Darkness faded away from his eyes as replaced by the looming joy, "Bruce's family has sent their eldest son, Eric, to infiltrate the country. They'll be prepared soon, I believe. And I…" He sneered, "I have enough of Huo Yunting and his shameless pride."

Qiu Jin nodded in approval like Harley Quinn with her partner in crime, "Do not worry. I'll do my best in anything I can without hesitation." 

"Thank you very much." Xiang Jinxi then surveyed the slight change of her expression. His eyes rose in curiosity mixed with something unknown before he walked to her to catch her in his embrace, "You know, after I got what I want, things might change." 

"..." Qiu Jin's eyes enlarged.

Was that a proposal? Was that a promise? 

Will there be a different ending for the both of us once Huo Yunting has been defeated? 

If that's so, I—I… 

Her face blushed as heat flowed into her ears rapidly. There was soul finally in her eyes as she spoke, "Well, I think there's someone else who could help you too."

"Who?"

"Mo Shan." 

"That girl?" Xiang Jinxi was bewildered, "Is she actually alive? I thought Huo Yunting finished her a long, long time ago." 

"Nah, she's still alive, only crippled, living in a wheelchair now," reported Qiu Jin yet the information did not quite catch the man's attention.

She elaborated, "But that doesn't deny the fact that she's something. Well, sometimes for something too risky you need a piece of pawn to test the water for you, don't you think? If it works, then hallelujah to us; if it doesn't, just pretend that it never happened." 

Now when you put it this way… 

"You are right," said Xiang Jinxi with an approving look.

Anyone who's against Huo Yunting is a friend of mine just like Bruce's family. Back when Lu Zhaoyang lost her sight in a severe accident, I was told that Mo Shan was the mastermind behind it. Well, that justified her ruthlessness. 

"I already got her. In two days, she will show up before your desk," said Qiu Jin confidently, "And since you're returning, I'll do the arrangement for you. The flight will take off 3 days later. How about that?"

"Anything you say."

"Okay." Qiu Jin smiled, looking at the man as if already hers. She was glad that she could help. Her expression was seductive enough to charm any inexperienced man in the flirting field. 

But those charming eyes of hers did not get the man. Qiu Jin only received a cold stare from the man as she left and little did she know that when she exited the room happily.

He snorted as he thought back on her expression.

Qiu Jin might be capable but she's still a woman.

And women get blinded by ridiculous things like love. 

"Things might change?" He laughed. 

"Please."

One week later, Huo Ran never got to leave the incubator but the doctor permitted Lu Zhaoyang to give a hug once in a while.

She examined the slightly opened eyes of her baby as joyfully she found out that her baby looked much healthier than before. The baby was staring at her and Lu Zhaoyang was excited even though she knew that a one-month-old baby could barely see a thing. 

"Awww, my cute little woozy pie, Ran Ran. Get to mummy!"
