835、BUSTED!

On their way there, Song Shou called upon a small army of soldiers to escort Wen He together. Those were all the soldiers Wen He had seen with Huo Chen before, obviously protecting her.1

Something big must have happened—Else, why the drama? It's probably something to do with me too. Now Huo Chen has been gone for so long. He's probably trying to solve that thing for me. 

I am the elephant in the room apparently.

The jeep stopped by the center to undergo inspection before permitting entry. However, Wen He was too impatient to wait, even more so when she treated herself as the official wife of the general. She hopped out of the jeep and was surrounded. 

"It's Wen He!"

"Surround the last member of the terrorist!" 

"Get the criminal!"

The guards sprinted towards her, swiftly lifted the rifle from their backs and pointed the muzzle at her. Wen He was stunned by the hostility as she retreated. Song Shou's eyes were grave as he waved his soldiers to get into position, pointing their guns back at the guards. 

"Aide-de-camp Song, what do you think you are doing?" 

"That woman is the remnant of Lu-Ou Terrorists! She's WANTED! Do you intend to protect her?" 

The statement alarmed Wen He as the pupils of her eyes shrunk. 

When—How did they know my actual identity?

Why am I exposed? To what extent do they know about me? 

What's going to happen?

D*mmit! Who did this? 

"Listen, I am executing a military order. Therefore, I request your cooperation to make ways or we fire!" Warned Song Shou.

Time seemed to have been frozen when soldiers of both sides remained tensed with their rifles, hissing, during which Yang Yi strode along, not forgetting to give a cold glance upon Song Shou.

"ADC Song, you obeying Huo Chen's order doesn't mean you can ignore my order too! I hereby order you to put down your guns! All of you are of the Country Z military, buddies and members fighting for the same goal. Are you all out of you mind, pointing guns at each other? Do all of you think this is merely child's play?" 

"Sir!" The members withdrew their guns, stood up straight and saluted at Yang Yi.

"And you!" Yang Yi looked at Wen He, "Follow me." 

Before Wen He lifted her first step, Song Shou stood before her, "Sir, the General ordered…"

"Who's the commander here? Huo Chen or me?"

He then glanced at Wen He, "Now get over here if you want to know the truth!"

"Ma'am…" Song Shou looked at Wen He but Wen He showed him her hand, "I'll go." She said as she followed Yang Yi. 

I need to find out, no matter how ugly it may turn out to be.

Huo Chen's disappearance must be related to this. 

I need to know where Huo Chen went!

Song Shou could do nothing than see Wen He leave with the commander. Huo Chen's final words with him rang in his mind, "Wen He surely will intrude the center of the camp once she notices something is wrong. By then, hold her back. If you are unable to do so, get her in. Let me talk to her." 

Easier said than done. Nobody knew the commander would come out and take her away instead. 

"Close the door," ordered Yang Yi after both of them got into the office.

Yang Yi took out a laptop and gave a few quick taps before turning it to Wen He.

"This is what you want."

"..." 

Yang Yi pressed ENTER and a long list of news titles tagged with a ball of flame that said HOT flashed into Wen He's eyes.

She could not believe her eyes as she knocked off the glass that fell to the ground.
