1The hostile glare from the envious classmates scared Liu Beibei so much that she withdrew her hand as bounced away from Mo Ning. However, Mo Ning did not bother as she seized her hand again and went back to their seats together.

Their action caused an uproar as the students looked at each other while discussing the latest scoop they had just witnessed. 

"What's that? Is that love?"

"Dang it, my girlfriend is still my right hand and look at Mo Ning with his new lassie."

"Demmmmm…" The boys were curious, unlike the girls who were very much offended and envious, "For Pete's sake, of all women, why Liu Beibei?" Said one girl. 

"Impossible, my little Harrison dreamboat won't date her. It must be out of sympathy he held her hands. I'm not buying it!"

"Right, anyone of us is prettier than that Beibei! If he's dating someone, it has to be one of us!" 

"Yeah! What Lewd Peckpeck has and we don't? She's so average and doesn't have the bit of courage to visit the bathroom herself. I heard that she's also filthy poor too. Seen her parents before, they look like the maid and butler in my house."

"I know right, how disgusting can she be?" 

"She's acting it, trust me. 'Oh, I'm too afraid to visit the bathroom alone. Please escort me, Prince.' Oldest trick in the book. I should have done that."

"Right???" 

"..." Towards the harsh remarks, Liu Beibei bit her lips and lowered her head in humiliation. 

Mo Ning was enraged. 

What are you people talking about? This girl did nothing, okay? I can't believe my ears. Just because she looks kind-hearted and weak, less superior in social status, doesn't mean you have the right to bully her! 

It's not a sin to be poor! She does not deserve these!

She thought as she stood up straight. She was going to land her first but Liu Beibei pulled her back by her sleeve, "No… don't." 

She pleaded with watery eyes and Mo Ning could not neglect that. However, she still delivered a few death stares at her classmates. And those eyes made the girls shut their mouth immediately for they feared their idol, Mo Ning, would be disappointed.

Two days later, it was finally the first day of their semester.

Students came much earlier as they were excited for their first class. While Mo Ning, as cliche as it sounded, ran into somebody as she sprinted in her dark highschool trousers and shirt with a toast in her mouth, "Yikes!" At one sharp corner, she reached out her arm and quickly held the falling person. 

"Are you alright?" 

It was a girl. Her eyes were expressive as her long lashes danced on her fair and slightly rosy cheeks. 

"Wow." That was when a random student found them and did a wolf-whistle.

"Our new prince is hugging the new princess. This is beautiful." 

"Snow White and the Prince on white horse!" His friends continuously added more headlines after the first wolf-whistle was heard. 

"I envy her for being able to get into Mo Ning's embrace but I don't mind them being together at all. Look at them. They are made for each other!"

"Yeah, man!"

Mo Ning frowned in disdain. 

But I guess, this is the new girl everybody was talking about. Huo Run.

She lowered her eyes to have a proper look. Huo Run was as gorgeous as people described. She was as if seeing a Disney princess. 

"I'm Huo Run," she took a step back, positioned herself properly with hands folded at her thighs, she spoke gently in her white dress swaying along with her long hair like a bride at a windy marriage. 

"It's my fault," said Mo Ning. It was heart-wrenching to see a girl having long hair. She used to have hair as beautiful as hers and it took her a lot of work maintaining it. Nevertheless, as heaven forbids, she did not manage to keep it in the end. Mo Ning's eyes were dreamy in Huo Run's eyes. She blushed as she looked away. No lady would not fall for those quiet eyes, especially when they belonged to such a handsome man.

But those eyes reminded her of someone. Someone with a handsome yet aloof look.
