Finger Guns

Despite her thoughts, she kept it all inside of her. Talking was useless by now, she would beat some sense into him.

If he didn't gain his senses by the time he died, she could always resurrect him by reversing the time on him and beat the shit out of him again.

It would take time, he would come around sooner or later. They always did, he would too.

'If only this weird feeling didn't make it harder to fight...'

Kurumi's twintails and Kunyo's short hair ruffled by the wind as they stood in focus.

A vicious and wild grin on Kunyo's face and a scowl on the Spirit of Time's.

'Her time magic or whatever will be extremely hard to defend against, I need to avoid them at all cost and go all out from the start.'

He didn't want to turn this into a physical fight but he still had to use Voltage Nova to increase his physical capabilities.

'Biggest problem is, I don't know the full extent of her abilities. Slowing down time, speeding up time, and stopping time. She can do these three for sure.'

As he saw her fingers turn into finger guns in slow-motion, Kunyo hurriedly activated Voltage Nova and got away as far as he could with a leap.

His eyes watched her fingers carefully but his body didn't stop. Fighting at close range wouldn't do, he would end her from afar.

Her fingers moved and recoiled as if they were small guns as Kunyo heard small *fwip* noises as if a small handgun with a silencer was fired.

'Something is tearing through the air?'

His eyes widened in shock as his body moved in instinct.

'Invinsible time bullets?!'

Thankfully his observe skill and high mental stats allowed him to see their trajectory from the way her finger was positioned.

'Pain in the ass, but nothing I can't handle.'

'I really want to explode her to pieces right here for being such a pain in the ass, but I don't want anybody to think I can use combustion bending. Not to mention Spirit of Time is probably extremely important, killing her would attract a lot of unwanted attention from the spirits.'

As his fire enhanced superhuman body moved his hands gathered energy, charging up a big attack.

'This shouldn't be big enough to kill her but big enough to seriously injure her at least.'

He added stamina draining to his flames with the Dragon Flame and shot them out of both of his arms after bringing them together in front of his chest.

A concentrated beam of fire went towards Kurumi in almost speed of sound.

Kurumi furrowed her brows and dodged to the side after speeding herself up 3 times. It was easy to avoid, too easy perhaps.

'He knows I'm fast enough to dodge this, then why?'

She thought to herself but kept shooting on the outside.

Kunyo smirked in victory.

'Huh?' suddenly, Kurumi's eyes widened as her senses screamed at her in danger.

The beam of fire that was just passing by suddenly concentrated into a ball and exploded as she leaped even further while guarding herself.

Fireball expanded fastly and went past through Kurumi's body.

''Gugk'' she held back a scream as she used time reversion on herself to keep it intact.

'I would be severely injured because of this.' she squinted her eyes as she tried to ignore the pain and pleasure.

'He's serious about this. He even added more of that curse. I met the most devious, most disgusting man to ever exist. It seems like his curse makes me like pain. His plan is forcing me to stop dodging attacks for pleasure!'

Her eyes widened as she realized his ''devious plan''.

'Since he still thinks he got me, I will kill him by shooting through the fire!'

She endured the pain/pleasure and aimed her fingers.

'He got away from me as soon as the fight started, he should be at his weakest in close combat.' she planned her next move as her eyes focused, trying to discern his place perfectly.

'This might be an explosion, but it doesn't count as combustion bending.' Kunyo smirked at his genius while preparing another attack.

She was fine, he could at least tell that much.

'I might have slightly underestimated her.' he thought to himself as he put down his foot with an axe kick, sending a sharp and hot fire blade towards her location.

''Do you really think this is enough for me?'' suddenly, a sinister voice came from the place his fire blade went.

He wasn't surprised, he knew she could dodge that fire blade.

Suddenly, his instincts screamed at him to dodge.

In panic, he used combustion release from the sole of his right foot and leaped as fast as he could, trying to dodge whatever was coming for him.

'Alright, that was short sighted and dumb of me. She has invisible 'guns' and 'ammos', getting her out of my sight was a big mistake.' he scolded himself as gave a small sigh of relief.

'This would be much easier if there wasn't a snowstorm.' he grimaced silently.

Even if he had a superhuman body, it was still a human body. He resisted for a long while and didn't get any debuffs for it, but the time got to him and he already had a small debuff because of the cold weather.

More importantly, he was a firebender. He was at the worst place possible to fight. Debuff on his firebending was always there, he just didn't mind it until now because of the apparent lack of threat.

''That won't work twice!'' he screamed out to her as he dodged another bullet.

'I don't like quipping during battles, that's really fucking dumb. Did the Avatar's protagonist aura rub on me or something?' he wondered to himself silently as his eyes scanned the area to discern her whereabouts.

'Found ya.' his grin returned as he raised his hand.

'Nice touch on finger guns, don't mind me as I kindly steal it.'

His fingers balled into a fist before releasing the index finger, middle finger, and thumb.

A small fire flared in front of his index and middle fingers. It quickly got polished and became a round red ball like a small sun.

With a finger, he fired his 'gun'.

The small ball of fire disappeared in the snowstorm for a second before exploding like the fire before.

He saw a small rustle and quickly focus on it.

'You fell for it, you fool!'

His true intention of releasing another exploding type of fire technique was to make finding her location easier. He wanted her to think that this was his strongest move. He wanted her to relax a little bit.

'It was already clear this type of attack was useless on you, why would I use it without any ulterior move? You dumbass.'

As he predicted, she tried to get closer to him. She was still cautious, but she clearly got faster, leaving a little bit of her caution behind.1

'I have been working hard on this. Don't fail me now.'

Kunyo's finger went up and aimed at her small body as she silently hid in the storm.

Thankfully, she didn't know that Kunyo's eyes were a grade above every human she saw before.

A bright light shined on top of his finger for a second.

Suddenly, without even making a sound, the light vanished.

''Aughmg!'' and a voice mixed with pain and pleasure was heard.
