Sima You Yue walked into the pavilion, and looking at the set up on the table, the corners of her mouth turned upwards in an icy smile.

“Looks like someone is purposefully luring me here!” She said quietly, and Li Mu, who was hiding on the other side of the yard, felt his heart leap, and smiled, seeing the opportunity before his eyes.

The floor tiles beneath her suddenly split open, and she fell through them.

“You Yue!” An urgent voice cried out from the yard, but before Sima You Yue was able to tell who it was, she had fallen into darkness. In the dark, she felt someone jump in after her. The hole below was very deep, of perhaps about a few hundred metres, but because the tiles had closed up, the was pitch dark.

In her urgency she created a flame, and as she looked around, she also steadied her body so that she could land safely. A few seconds later, another person also landed.

“You Lin?” Sima You Yue started to be able to make out who the person was. She gasped, “Why are you here?”

“I saw you leaving, and felt that something wasn’t right, so I stealthily followed you, but when I arrived I saw you fall in, and so I followed after you.” Sima You Lin said.

“Thank you.” Sima You Yue said, smiling.

Using the light from the flame, they checked their surroundings, and they realised that it was small square room, and the walls were covered with moss, probably made as a trap.

“The moss beneath our feet is rather strange.” Sima You Lin said.

“What?” When Sima You Yue was about to look carefully at the moss, she heard footsteps from above her head. Sima You Yue closed her eyes to feel, and said, “Li Mu, it is you!”

“Hahaha, Sima You Yue, you never thought so, but it is me!” Li Mu laughed from above. “Aren’t you very powerful, how did you fall into my trap?”

“Jade’s maidservant was bribed by you.” Sima You Yue thought about the maidservant who had brought her, and knew that because she was Jade’s close maidservant that she had followed her at all, and she had never thought that that maidservant was now working for Li Mu.
