Finally, there was a light ripple in those beautiful eyes like his air of indifference had dissipated. It wasn't because the creature called him Ya Ya but the motive it spoke off. He knew Rui Fei was a loose cannon with an irrational outburst at times. This he knew from experience. 1

Even the first time they met Ji Yao was so terrified of him despite the fact that he was two years older than Rui Fei. Getting to know him he began to understand him better and from what he knew Rui Fei would behave irrationally if he is having an outburst episode or if someone threatens him.

But was this piece of knowledge worth killing someone over? It didn't make sense at all. The creature could sense his conflict so it said, "You don't know the kind of obsession that boy has over you. His love is the kind they call fatal attraction and look what he did. To remove anything that threatens your relationship with him he eliminated the competition."

"Tsk tsk, tsk tsk, tsk and that poor girl did nothing wrong. All she did was love you. Was the punishment befitting of the crime? I didn't even know that loving someone was a criminal offence."

Ji Yao's heart jumped when he heard this. How was it possible that Rui Fei would kill her over this? Just a few minutes ago he had reassured him that he wouldn't be interested in anyone else even if Rui Fei wasn't the only other person he could touch but it seemed his words had fallen on deaf ears.

Seeing his despondent look the creature took out the same crystal bottle he had shown Xiaoyu and said, "Who says because of bloodline you should be stuck with a black-hearted person with no value for mortal life? This is your cure.... this can give you options. You don't have to have only one choice. "

"You can date two even three people and fully experience what it means to live. Even if you break up with that Rui kid you will have a number, no dozens of options and it can all be yours. It can be yours..."

Ji Yao was so annoyed by the creature's salesman pitch. He meant what he said earlier to Rui Fei and wouldn't take such a thing with good reason. Besides if this so-called potion worked his mother would have mentioned it. Instead, she emphasized on the relationship with that special person and encouraged them to be with them. There had to be something wrong with this so-called miracle cure.

The Yinying could sense his annoyance but it was determined to make a sale today so it continued, "Aren't you curious?" It moved the bottle with the liquid swirling around like the Milkyway galaxy closer to him and continued,

"Aren't you curious to know how it feels to touch others not just that brat? You can have it all to yourself but in exchange, I want the keystones. You hand them over and this.... this will be all yours."

Maybe, just maybe a few months ago Ji Yao might have considered it. He might have been cold and distant but he also wanted to spend the rest of his life with someone. Back then he didn't know that he would find his suitable match and might have accepted the elixir as he was very lonely but now things had changed.

He wouldn't even think twice about it. With a whoosh, he knocked the crystal bottle out of the sky and it fell into the sea with a plop. The creature's ugly face became, even more, uglier as its expression sank.

This was undoubtedly a disrespectful child. Why was it so hard to deal with these two. Everyone else in the past would jump at the opportunity to get what they want be it gold, flocks of pretty women and of course, they would also end up being its meal but still. Ji Yao didn't relent despite the tempting offer.

"I see that you have made your choice. I would just have to kill you then take the keystones away from you," it said before absorbing even more of that energy. It wanted to strike him once and finish him off but to do that it needed more power.

Ji Yao sneered as he began to attack ruthlessly with his sword and powerful lightning descending from above. The scene swiftly turned chaotic with the water violently stirring from the lightning strikes and wind.

It was like a supercell thunderstorm had hit this small rocky beach with lightning that had been deflated by the creature striking the boulders. Soon chunks of broken rocks began to fall into the water as the ground shook at seismic proportions.

The ground vibrations were so strong that Rui Fei felt it where he was. In his hand, he held the keystone that kept on seeping out its powerful energy. As predicted by the creature he had zero ideas how to stop it.

At a loss of what to do, Rui Fei had tried putting it into his storage pouch but he almost set it alight from the energy dispersal.

Running out of options he placed it on a boulder and looked for a pointed edges rock. He raised the rock high and tried to shatter the keystone to pieces but that only sent him across the cave right into the shipwreck.

Annoyed, he got up from the wooden debris and winced from all those splinters in his back. The pain somehow made him use his brain because he suddenly decided to use his seraphic energy and possibly shut down the energy supply to the creature.

This cub's plan was good but the method of execution was wrong. He was injecting his seraphic energy into the keystone which did nothing but subject him to excruciating headaches. He couldn't even stay in the keystone long enough to probe inside.

So when the rocks started tumbling down and the ground shaking he accidentally absorbed some of the keystone's energy while he retracted his seraphic energy. It was then he figured it out.

And it seemed the creature also felt that its big secret had been figured out. It paused its actions looking in the direction of its lair. Ji Yao took advantage of its momentary distraction and lunge forward surrounded by a sphere of flaming lightning.

But just as he landed his attack the creature shoved him to the side with a force so powerful that it cracked his ribs as he fell into the water. It wailed as it scurried away in a panic rushing towards its lair.

In a matter of seconds, a wall in the lair was rammed into and the creature emerged with an attack directed at Rui Fei. Rui Fei who had been absorbing the power of the keystone was warned by it hence he stood up and dodged the attack before reappearing above the creature that was searching for him frantically.

"How did you get so fat in a matter of minutes. You should go on a diet," mocked Rui Fei happy that for once he had the upper hand.

"Grrrraaawr," were the sounds of the Yinying growling at Rui Fei.

Come on Fei Fei you know better than that. Don't call a woman fat unless you have a death wish. Okay, the sex of the Yinying is complicated but still...
