When she saw who it was her brow furrowed before she shifted her gaze to where Qilin San had come from. But as she turned her head she felt a strong presence pass by her. She couldn't see the person as they flashed by. All she saw were electrical sparks engulfed in flames and a shadowy figure.1

Before Qilin San hit the ground he steadied himself only to be met by a bent knee flying in his direction before striking his face sending him flying into the broken-down buildings.

Coughing violently he spat out a mouthful of blood before getting up intending to flee and regroup. As he got up he was suddenly met by the tip end of a whip sword with bright red flames the colour of blood.

Sharp cracking noises followed as Ji Yao's whip sword struck Qilin San multiple times. Be it his back, thighs, head, he struck every part of him with that whip sword. Qilin San was hit by Ji Yao till he was attempting to flee by crawling on the ground.

Wapush! Wapush! Wapush!

The whip sword kept slashing down on the Qilin clan leader and each time it struck everyone including Huishe Nan would flinch. Ten times turned to twenty times then twenty times to fifty. Qilin San was struck till he was curled up like a ball on the ground.

Ji Yao was just staring down at him while his whip sword did everything. When he raised his arm the whip sword flew over into his hand and changed back into a single blade sword.

In slow steady footsteps he walked over and crouched down before whispering, "Grandfather, your mother said she didn't whip you enough when she was alive and she could only let me do it on her behalf."

When he said this Qilin San's body stiffened and because his hands were covering his face Ji Yao couldn't see his expression. Uncaring he got up to his feet only to sense hordes of people coming in his direction.

When he abruptly turned his head he saw several Qilin approach him their aethers engaged like they were prepared for war. Within the dust, one could see vibrant coloured whip swords shimmering in the darkness.

Their clan leader had been disgraced like this so naturally, they wouldn't take it lying down. Ji Yao's body writhed in anger with the dominion of a king spilling over.

It was as though he had fully accepted his identity as the King of all Nocru on land, in the skies and underneath the seas and wouldn't tolerate being disrespected.

The Qilin who hadn't yet figured out what was happening came to their clan leader's defence as such a thing would lose face for their entire clan making them appear weak.

If it were to spread out that the Qilin clan leader was whipped by a half breed barely out of his diapers every clan would look down on them.

Ji Yao who was ready to put everyone in their place and make them not find trouble with Rui Fei again felt a searing flame pierce through his aether before rushing into his aetherial veins taking total control of his body.

With a deep roaring shout, his entire body was shrouded in a magnificent deep red light blinding the average person. The Qilin took a step back covering their eyes with their arms. Their bodies were suddenly engulfed in spine chilling fear, the kind of fear that surpassed the one they had in the presence of the clan leader.

An earth-shattering bellow ripped through the air like a sonic boom and every Nocru no matter which clan they belonged to felt the urge to kneel. A king had been born the moment that hidden Acany seed in Ji Yao's body awakened.

"He....," muttered Huishe Yue struggling to keep his body upright. Their rule that a Nocru never bows was deeply embedded in them that they resisted the urge.

Huishe Nan didn't say anything simply watching in awe as he held his grandson in his arms. Ji Yao was nothing like they had seen before. Huishe Yue had seen countless Qilins but none of them looked like Ji Yao.

He was a high breed of a Qilin and a Raiju with both flames and electric sparks surrounding his body. His chest and back had a golden armour plate with a deep carmine red gemstone that looked oddly similar to the keystones.

On his forearm and elbows, he had armour plates as well that glimmered under the light. Instead of hooves like the other Qilin, he had claws like the Raiju clan and his antlers were inlaid with breathtaking patterns with his seraphic energy visibly flowing through them.

Huishe Nan felt the person he was holding in his arms move so he shifted his gaze to take a look only for him to catch a glimpse of a figure so familiar that his breath hitched.

"Xiyue!!!" he yelled with his eyes becoming watery. His scream attracted the attention of Huishe Yue who also shifted his gaze in that direction. It was indeed her but she wasn't looking at them instead she was staring intently at Ji Yao.

As Ji Yao's bellows died down three figures appeared from within the dust walking over the Qilin who had been subdued by a half breed that had now become their new clan leader.

Three women dressed in all white showed up in front of Ji Yao their weapons drawn with fire in their eyes. To balance the worlds the biggest threat had to be eliminated and now that biggest threat had become Ji Yao.

Though not written in history books there was a reason why the old system in Niuq where all clans were under one king was abolished. It was because of the Qilin.

The Qilin should never be allowed to rule as they were ambitious creatures that could bring disaster upon the two worlds and ultimately affect the balance of all other worlds.

For generations, they never had a child born with the Acany, the seed to become king. It was as though the universe was trying to correct itself. But once the Lord of the Celestials sensed that something was about to change he interfered with Niuq politics leading the clans to abolish the old system.

As expected the Qilin rebelled and war broke out. This marked the suppression of the Acany all the way down to Qilin Hao whose father destroyed it when she was born. Who would have thought Ji Yao would have it and it would one day influence him to have a breakthrough.

After generations of being suppressed the Acany would naturally not let go. It comprised of the divine sense of the last King who couldn't reincarnate unless there was a breakthrough. Thus it took advantage of Ji Yao's weakness and talked him into it.

Huishe Xiyue landed right in front of Ji Yao and the two looked at each other for a moment. Ji Yao's eyes widened like he suddenly recalled something. Without warning, he vanished on the spot and reappeared in front of Huishe Nan in his human form and grabbed his boyfriend before disappearing to who knows where.

Everyone, "..."

Well, at least now they knew this new king's priority.
