Qilin Hao's perfect scheme
Huishe Xiyue said all these words in one breath but in truth, she had no idea how to solve this. Either way, Ji Yao had to leave earth regardless of the circumstance. By default, all clans would be compelled to follow him where ever he is so to keep the purebloods from earth the queen bee had to leave the hive.2
"Good..... then we don't need him to have these discussions. He is exhausted and had an eventful day," said Qilin Hao her eyes harbouring a glint of mischief.
Huishe Xiyue tapped the table as though thinking it through. A hand patted hers and when she turned in that direction she saw her brother leaning closer. She leaned in to hear him out and her expression seemed to relax a little.
"If you want your son not to hate you you better let Ji Yao go," whispered Huishe Yue giving her the best advice he could come up with.
She glanced over in Ji Yao's direction and said, "What if he runs away with my son again? I haven't even spoken to Ah-Fei yet."
"It's better than losing the ability to speak to him at all. Your boy holds grudges even for the smallest of things. Plus he is both my and Ah-Fei's benefactor. If it weren't for him your son would have been dead," he explained as though speaking from experience. The pair of siblings stared at each other for a while as though continuing this conversation telepathically.
In truth, they were speaking to each other using their eyes. Huishe Xiyue was obviously not reconciled and wasn't easily accepting.
This silent discussion could have carried on for longer because Huishe Yue wasn't planning on backing down until she let Ji Yao leave but it was interrupted when the door was pushed open and Qilin San was thrown to the ground.
Ji Yao who had been as inactive as a low-level zombie just now suddenly had a glint of light flash in his eyes. His chest heaving rapidly he decisively grabbed the dagger on the side of his father's belt and unsheathed it.
Before anyone could react he had kicked Qilin San forcing him to look up and stabbed into his chest. Recalling each and every injury on Rui Fei's body he began to slash at the exact same positions on his grandfather's body.
By the time he was flung away by one of the celestials, his clothes were stained with blood his eyes as bloodthirsty as an unintelligent beast.
Qilin Hao grabbed her son and defended him against the celestials who wanted to strike him again. The hall descended into chaos.
"If you can't restrain him I would have to put a muzzle on him," said Huishe Xiyue while the other celestials healed Qilin San. They needed him alive so he can stand trial before the celestials and if he dies now that would be easy punishment.
Qilin Hao hugged Ji Yao while pointing at Huishe Xiyue. "Your son did the same thing not only once but thrice to a man in your clan. Now tell me who needs a muzzle between the two of them? Tsk, stop talking shit little Xi Xi."
After dropping that bomb she handed Ji Yao over to Ji Wen intending to settle scores with Huishe Xiyue.
"Did he do that?" she asked her family in a whisper but judging from their expressions she already knew the answer. Huishe Yue nodded his head while raising three fingers. She was bound to find out about her precious baby boy's sinister side soon so they might as well ease her into it.
"Take him away then. It's best that he isn't here for this," she said addressing Qilin Hao who was walking over to her ready to slice and dice her (Huishe Xiyue) for insulting Ji Yao.
Having got what she wanted Qilin Hao retreated and dragged her son out of there by his wrist. After walking for a short distance they stopped a few feet before the end of the corridor.
"Husband, can you find our son something to eat," she said but Ji Yao opened his mouth saying,
"I am not hungry. I just want to-."
Qilin Hao placed her index finger in front of his lips and whispered, "Shh," her eyes seeming to say trust me.
Ji Wen who didn't want his son to suffer any more grievances agreed. He patted his son's shoulder twice before leaving. As soon as he was far enough Qilin Hao said, "I had to get rid of him because he would freak out."
Ji Yao's brow furrowed as he watched his mother take out something from her storage ring. Placing the things into his hands she said, "You can go see him but you have to take a bath first and wash off this filthy blood. After that, I will take you to him."
Ji Yao opened his hand and saw two beautiful rings shimmering under the moonlight. His breathing quickened as he raised his head to stare at her. Qilin Hao grinned as she pulled him along, "The Huishe are playing games with us because of Huishe Xiyue. If that so-called Lord of the celestials decides that it's inconvenient for them to keep you alive we need a backup plan."
Ji Yao heard everything she said but he couldn't understand anything. What was the so-called backup plan and why did it need rings?
"If that happens the entire Concord and Qilin clan will have your back. I will have your back but we might not be enough to fight these so-called celestials. We would need to rope in the Huishe clan and once we have the Huishe clan we will have the backing of all the clans in Niuq."
Qilin Hao held both of his shoulders as she stopped halfway down the hall. "To get their support you need to couple with Rui Fei. Coupling means you have become a part of their clan and there won't standby if the celestials attack," she said completely unaware that someone within the shadows had heard her entire plan.
"I, I can't use Ah-Fei like that," he whispered as he tried to give back the rings.
Qilin Hao almost rolled her eyes. If anything that horny pup would dive in headfirst even if it means offending the entire world.
"At least get his opinion first before you refuse. Whatever you decide remember... I have your back... I will die for you because I love you. The concord and your father will die for you because they are your family. The Qilin will die for you because you are their king. You aren't alone," she said before embracing her son staining her dress with blood in the process but she didn't care.
Ji Yao's eyes stung when he heard her words. He could finally feel that love that he longed for throughout the years. This was the love of a Qilin towards their cub. No matter what happens from now on his family had his back.
