Insults flying every where
Rui Fei who had been listening on the side felt his heart twist painfully as he sat there. He had heard stories about women dying after giving birth in that pavilion. His father was still pissed off about his mother vanishing before his very eyes and took in more and more women but when they gave birth and the child wasn't powerful enough he would slaughter both of them.2
For years blood was spilt in that pavilion that it wreaked of death. But there was no one to save them. Everyone in that dungeon knew that sooner or later it would be their turn to die.
Hearing his mother give her perspective he regretted not killing his father sooner. As he heard her heartbreaking cries die down he pursed his lips before saying, "He didn't die a good death."
Huishe Xiyue who was burying her head in her twin brother's chest raised her head and looked in his direction. Seeing her puffy eyes and red nose, Rui Fei averted his gaze as it felt like a sharp knife was stabbing straight into his heart.
"What..... what did you.....?" she asked unable to finish her question properly.
Rui Fei rubbed his nose which was stinging and repeated his statement. "I... he died in excruciating pain..... I made sure of it." That was indeed the truth. Rui Fei was especially ruthless and made sure that even in his second life his father would subconsciously remember that pain.
While he was looking away he suddenly felt a warm hand touching his. He subconsciously wanted to jerk his hand away but he immediately relaxed when he saw his mother kneeling before him. "I am really sorry. I didn't want to leave you alone... I didn't want to ascend. I failed you," she said but Rui Fei shook his head.
She didn't want to leave either and if she did leave.... the two of them might not have had the chance to speak to each other like this. Fate was at play so they could have this encounter one day.
Huishe Xiyue pressed her hand at the back of Rui Fei's head and pulled him down. With their foreheads pressed together, she whispered, "Mum loves you so much no matter what."
Seeing this Huishe Yue couldn't help but cry. As a grown man he was a little embarrassed so he covered his face with his hand and looked away. "Sorry..... I just got something in my eye. Probably some onion or something," he said while crying.
"Come on... I know you want a hug," said Huishe Xiyue beckoning him over with a small smile.
Of course, Huishe Yue would love a hug. He walked over and the three of them embraced. The only problem was that Huishe Yue didn't have the concept of moderation. His embrace was so tight that the other two could barely breathe.
"You..... are you trying to suffocate us," said Rui Fei trying to free himself.
"Call me uncle Yue and I will let you go," he said tightening the embrace even more.
Huishe Xiyue who missed this didn't complain she simply broke out in laughter immersing herself in the moment.
"Uncle my ass. Let go," complained Rui Fei looking for an opening to make his escape.
Huishe Yue whined to his sister, "You see, your son is so disrespectful. He refuses to call me uncle unless he wants something."
While the two were bickering the sky suddenly lit up and forced the three to look up. Huishe Xiyue's heart sank when she saw this. 'Those snitching bitches,' she thought while gritting her teeth.
"What is that?" asked Huishe Yue while letting go of the three of them.
"Trouble, that's what it is," replied Huishe Xiyue as a bright white light shrouded her body and she vanished on the spot. The two were left staring at the empty spot with vexed looks on their faces.
"You want to check it out?" asked Huishe Yue with his hands leisurely crossed on his chest.
Rui Fei glanced at the entrance of the main hall before looking back and saying, "Of course." Huishe Yue chuckled as he leapt into the inky sky while saying,
"Don't worry I will get you back home before bedtime."
When they arrived at the place where the light originated from they saw Huishe Xiyue standing in an intimidating stance fuming in anger. Under her feet were horrible looking runes that had been ruined by her and Huishe Yue's first reaction was to mock the terrible writings,
"Yikes..... did a toddler draw this? So ugly...."
Just as he finished saying this a stick was thrown at him which he dodged. The woman who threw it huffed as she glared at him. "You know what.... fuck you!" she yelled her face as a celestial completely thrown out of the window.
Rui Fei hissed with a hint of laughter in his eyes. It was evident that he was rejoicing in his uncle's misfortune.
"Wow..... hahaha, just wow," said Huishe Yue with his hands on his waist, "and here I thought celestials were pure. Ha, I guess I was wrong. It seems they will just let anyone ascend these days. Which world were you from? Is it by any chance a garbage planet?"
Everyone, "..."
Well, he shouldn't have said that because now he had an unintended target on his back. "Why you little.....," she yelled unable to accept such an insult. With the swing of her hand, she shot three light beams that could slice him in half with very little effort. But before they could touch his body Huishe Xiyue lifted her finger and the light beam froze mid-air.
"Why don't you pick a fight with someone who can match your strength," said Huishe Xiyue before flicking her finger and returning the light beams to sender. The celestial could attack extremely well but her defence was horrible.
She dodged the other two but the last one struck her in the chest and sent her flying a great distance.
"Sister Xiyue!!" yelled Xue Jie flaring up in anger while the other woman helped her fallen sister up.
Huishe Xiyue scoffed as she realized a peaceful resolve wasn't possible. "You have clearly chosen your side thus I won't be merciful," said Xue Jie with a menacing glare.
Huishe Xiyue grinned with an expression that seemed to say bring it on bitch. Having been undermined despite the fact that she was put in charge by the Lord of the celestials she naturally had to retaliate. Unfortunately, a showdown was bound not to happen.
That's because the Lord of Celestials would never let outsiders witness an internal conflict. It would only make him lose face. They advocated for peace and balance so wouldn't it make them appear like a joke if Celestials were seen fighting? He had to end this catfight before it began.
