Justice for Qilin Kai
Justice is something rare and precious in this dark sinister world. The rich become richer on the working class's backs and suppression of the weak. Within the fine line between the rich and the oppressed are beneficiaries who should be seeking justice but are corrupted due to their own personal interests. 2
But Ji Yao wasn't like that. Countless times he had been pitted by Qilin Kai and should in this instance be gunning for his death to make up for old grudges but... he didn't. He was one of the few soughting out justice even if it was for the enemy.
Qilin Kai had done plenty of horrible things but who wouldn't when they were under Qilin San's control. Despite all of this Ji Yao wanted Tong Tong to reconcile with his father just like he did with his mother. That's because he understood the deep love the Qilin had for their cubs and how far they were willing to go for them. Qilin Hao, though she didn't go about it the right way sacrificed her life for him. If it weren't for him she would have chosen the easy route which was death.
Qilin Kai was about to do the same thing. Sacrificing himself like a pawn just so that Tong Tong could still have a mother and hate him instead. Ji Yao wasn't going to let that happen. He grabbed Wei Wei's neck and some gold like energy seeped out of his body and slipped through her skin then straight into her aetherial veins.
As though under compulsion Wei Wei who had been struggling a moment ago stopped and stared straight into his eyes. Her eyes flashed a golden colour her body somewhat listless.
"What exactly happened between you and Qilin Kai?" he asked only for the Pixiu clan leader to take a step forward as he yelled,
"YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!"
Huishe Nan who could now move freely grabbed his collar and said, "What are you afraid of?" while pulling him back. "He won't do anything to your daughter so why are you talking so much?"
Tong Tong who was embracing his father was the least bit worried for his mother. Why? It was because he had so much trust in Ji Yao. He knew his Captain wouldn't harm his mother so he immersed himself in the warmth of fatherly love disinclined to look in his mother's direction.
After a short moment of silence, Wei Wei's sweet soft voice echoed in the air, "I seduced him... I worked so hard to get Huishe Yue's attention but I also wanted to feel the excitement of being pursued so I seduced him."
Ji Yao's brow arched upwards a little surprised. It was for this stupid reason that she betrayed Huishe Yue and ruined three people's lives? He couldn't understand it. Would Rui Fei also betray him this way just to feel the feeling of being pursued?
"Did Qilin Kai force you?" he asked.
Wei Wei seemed reluctant to answer that question but under Ji Yao's compulsion, she could only speak the truth. After hesitating for a while she said, "No, he didn't. I disappeared the morning after and didn't have the courage to break up with him."
Hearing this Qilin Kai's embrace around his son tightened as he silently broke down in tears crying. He couldn't control himself. Nothing good had happened to him in his entire life except having Tong Tong and he was willing to sacrifice everything for him but he also wanted to get close to his son.
Ji Yao immediately let go of her his face unsightly like he was about to throw up. He had impulsively touched Wei Wei just now because he was under the control of the Acany force within him. Because it was the force of a king he would naturally get immersed in it and do things he normally wouldn't do.
As he took a step forward he suddenly felt weak at the knees and was about to fall but before he could kiss the floor he was held up by his mother. But because she had rushed over to him his drunk father kissed the floor when his support was taken away.
Qilin Hao placed him on the ground and gave him a pill to relieve the discomfort. But when she heard her husband's body tumble to the floor she was caught between the two. AAAAHHHHH..... it was difficult being a mother and a wife at the same time. She had finally experienced the entanglement of choosing between the two.
"I am fine. Go help him up," he said noticing her dilemma. He could understand what she was going through. If it was him he would most likely be caught in the same predicament.
"Can you stand?" asked his mother with a look of concern in her eyes.
"Yes," he replied and she helped him up before she left to help Ji Wen up. Rubbing his temples with his back leaning against the pillar he said, "Now that the truth has been revealed it's up to the parties involved to decide what they are going to do. If you will excuse me there is something I have to do," he said before stumbling towards the main door.
He didn't give a damn about how the Huishe and Pixiu clan were going to deal with the lying green tea bitch. All he wanted right now was to be in his lover's arms and stargaze.
As he pushed the main door open he was startled when he witness a bright shining light in the sky like fireworks but the thing with these fireworks is that they didn't explode. Like a light show made out of drones, it remained brightly lit in the sky as though signalling for someone to come.
A bad premonition arose in his chest as he lunged forward rushing towards the light but before he could reach the target area his body was suddenly pushed back by a force so powerful that it sent him back into the main hall.
The clan leaders that had been arguing amongst themselves on how to proceed were startled when their supposed king was rolled back into the main hall.
Ji Yao regained his footing graciously and stood up with a ferocious glare while looking outside. He wiped away the dust on his jaw as he took a few steps forward only for a tall and handsome man shrouded in yellow light to cross over the threshold causing him to halt his steps. The man was draped in pure white robes embroidered with golden threads and stepped in with a godly aura that forced people to their knees.
"Sit," commanded the diety shrouded in yellow light. Ji Yao naturally wouldn't obey his orders even though he knew for sure he wouldn't be able to beat this person in a conflict.
