"Baby, did you miss me," said Rui Fei as he tightened his hold on Ji Yao's waist.

Ji Yao's anger that was near boiling point simmered down as he looked at Rui Fei through his peripheral view and patted his fluffy head of hair soothingly. The two had been apart for not more than an hour but it looked like they were lovers who had been apart for more than a year.

"Of course, I missed you," he replied as Rui Fei loosened his hold and held Ji Yao by the wrist before leading him to sit down. The mess created from him flipping over the table had been cleaned and a new table had been brought to the main hall earlier. His tantrum just now was completely erased like nothing happened.

Ji Yao and Rui Fei sat alongside each other ignoring the strange looks from the various clan leaders. At this point, they didn't care. They had the rings on their fingers and had done the coupling session so what was there to worry about. Yes, the public officiation hadn't been done but they had already tied a knot that would take a big ceremony to untie hence they were husbands.

As soon as they sat down Huishe Yue and Huishe Xiyue followed in. Behind them were the celestials and as expected their faces didn't look so good. They had successfully called forth the Lord of the Celestials but instead of reporting from afar, the Lord had decided to descend from the celestial realm and deal with it personally.

The man exuding the air of a god here to discipline disobedient followers looked around the table before stopping at the pair of lovebirds and said, "What?.... No tea? As the host, you can't even offer your guests some hospitality?"

Ji Yao who had been accused for no reason wanted to say that even if he was the king of the Nocru he wasn't the true host of Hyesong continent but when he realised the most likely true host of the continent was sitting next to him staring at him intently like he was the only one in the world he held back.

As of now Rui Fei was next in line for the throne and would in essence be the current emperor of Hyesong continent. But everything was in such a mess right now that the conversation about who exactly is the host was less significant.

"You have to be an Invited guest first for me to host you and from what I can tell, you just waltzed in here without a word with expectations as high as the sky," he said staring straight at him with no fear at all.

This man right in front of him was a celestial, a being that shouldn't be taken lightly. The Nocru around him had cowered a long time ago as they could feel the insummable amount of power emanating from this being's body.

They seemed to know that their pathetic existence would come to an end if he so much as snapped his finger. Ji Yao on the other hand was an anomaly.

Maybe it was because he had absorbed that power that made him king that he became fearless. He was like an animal ready to defend his territory even if it meant offending a force much more powerful than himself.

The Lord of the Celestials chuckled lightly before lowering his head and continuing to say, "I wasn't speaking to you. This is earth so naturally, you aren't the host."

Rui Fei instantly understood this arrogant man's meaning. Disregarding his mother's warning not to offend this person he opened his mouth to speak only for Ji Yao to beat him to it.

"I can see why that would be misleading. But in truth we have according to Nocru's customs performed a sacred ceremony hence, in essence, we are a married couple. That is to say, I am his empress which means I am also the host," explained Ji Yao as his finger rubbed the ring shining under the light.

The Lord of Celestials lifted his head and stared at Ji Yao his expression complicated. He could sense the traces of an ill-mannered heartless Qilin within Ji Yao but it was over diluted with other things. If it weren't that Ji Yao was mixed with Raiju and human blood he would have struck him down immediately.

Like Huishe Xiyue concluded Ji Yao was a mixed breed that couldn't be eliminated casually. He was a bug in the system that shouldn't have come to fruition.

Rui Fei's eyes shone bright like pearls under the moonlight hearing the title empress come out of Ji Yao's mouth. He hadn't accepted the position to succeed his father on the throne but hearing Ji Yao say that it made his heart flutter. He felt the happiness of a man being defended by his wife publicly.

"I see... then having decided to be the continent of Hyesong's empress are you directly revoking your position as King of the Nocru? Is that your final decision?" asked the Lord of the Celestials a little proud of himself for outsmarting Ji Yao.

But he celebrated too early. The Acany within Ji Yao's body had been suppressed for thousands of years and wouldn't give in easily.

It was as though Ji Yao's speed of processing information had been cut down by more than half. In that brilliant mind of his, he had solutions one wouldn't have thought of.

"Then we would have two worlds combined as one. I will tear apart the veil between the two worlds... and merge them as one," calmly spoke Ji Yao but the people around him weren't calm in the slightest. What Ji Yao was proposing was something that never crossed anyone's mind. Niuq was Niuq and Hyesong was Hyesong so what was the point of merging? Even if it was possible none of them could see the benefit of such an agreement.

It was indeed interesting to see how this discussion would end.
