Ji Yao had never been this annoyed in his entire life. His father was a world-class chatterbox that had the hobby of annoying him and he did it with skill and precision though he knew his limits. But this celestial being over here was way worse. 2

Ji Yao couldn't help but suspect that he was being treated like a new interesting toy by this bastard. It was question after question and each question wasn't necessarily important.

After answering the nth question Ji Yao was so exhausted. He pinched the bridge of his nose and asked, "Are we done? Can I go now?"

The Lord of Celestials just stared at him with his hand propping his chin and said, "One last question..... Do you like that ruffian of yours because he is the only one that can touch you? I am just curious. Your Qilin genes are so fascinating that your rejection of other people is rooted deep into your bones. Unlike most, it's not a psychological thing but a genetics thing..... how fascinating."

Ji Yao, "???"

"You do realize," he said as yellow dust particles appeared at the back of Ji Yao's head, "I can touch you too." The dust particles stroked the back of Ji Yao's head intimately but instead of the expected response Ji Yao said two words,

"FUCK OFF."

The celestial being retracted his dust particles with a slight look of surprise. "Ha.... could it be true love," he muttered to himself. When he descended from the celestial realm at the beckoning of his disciples he had come with one thing in mind that is to slaughter Ji Yao and end this.

But his decision faltered when he saw the determined look in Ji Yao's eyes. What he didn't realize at the time was that it had nothing

to do with Ji Yao's determination but pure interest. He had lived for an infinite number of years but nothing had piqued his interest in a long time except this kid.

Before he ascended his life was so exciting and intriguing fighting demons and monsters in the cultivation world. For years on end, he had watched different worlds like watching a movie correcting them when the scale was tipping but he never felt that spark of excitement he had when he was in his world.

That is until he met Ji Yao. He was like a protagonist in a stallion novel admirable and strong which piqued his interest. This was one of the major reasons he was willing to listen to him. He wanted to see what sort of adventure this kid will bring forth.

While Ji Yao was gone without a trace Rui Fei was a hot mess attacking celestial like they were on a buy one get one free sale. It took his entire clan to try and hold him but even then he was like a dog with rabies biting everyone and extremely unreasonable.

It didn't matter how many times they tried to calm him down he didn't relent he was like a beast on a rampage wrecking havoc where ever he went. The only person who was spared among the celestials was his mother who in essence was his weak spot.

That's because his mother was the one who tied him down and believe me she felt her heart ache doing it. She didn't want her son to offend the celestials which would undoubtedly put a target on his back.

Rui Fei was so displeased glaring angrily at his mother. Huishe Xiyue had to comfort him otherwise they would be a misunderstanding between them. "He won't do anything to Ji Yao so please calm down, okay?"

Rui Fei tried to free himself from her restraints but whatever method she used seeped into his aetherial veins. Instead of pain, it was like a calm soothing energy that made him want to sleep. In as much as he wanted to be feisty, he couldn't. Soon his eyes began to droop like he was about to fall asleep.

The only thing he could think was, 'Damn, if I want to cause trouble next time my mother should be absolutely absent.' After that, he fell asleep like the dead.

As soon as his eyes closed the celestial whose face had been swollen into the size of a durian lunged forward to grab the passed out Rui Fei intending to teach him a lesson but Huishe Xiyue stopped her. Which mother would want to watch their son get beaten?

She blocked the light darts shooting in her son's direction in a defensive posture and said, "Its a bit pitiful to attack a defenceless man, isn't it? If you want to fight anyone then fight me. That is the only way you will be able to get to him."

The celestial withdrew her power as she glared at Huishe Xiyue. Who here didn't know how powerful Huishe Xiyue was. Of course, she would be able to hold her ground but because Huishe Xiyue would be fighting just to defend her cub it meant she would be very difficult to handle.

Fighting one vs one between celestials wouldn't be a problem but fighting one vs one with a celestial that also happens to be a mother is even more difficult. She knew her odds in that match were low so she backed down.

Huishe Xiyue carried her son over the shoulders like he weighed nothing and brought him out of the main hall. Behind her were her family members who were concerned for their precious little Fei Fei. If Rui Fei were ever to find out that his family thought of him as little Fei Fei he

would be so angry that he would spit out a mouthful of blood.

Since the reason why people were in the main hall had disappeared everyone dispersed all except members of the Qilin clan. Their clan leader had vanished into thin air. Though Ji Yao hadn't been fully recognized as the king of the Nocru they didn't have the luxury like the other clans to ignore his status so they didn't leave.

Facing Qilin Hao they couldn't help but ask through a representative, "We have to save the clan leader. How are we going to go about it?"

Qilin Hao also had zero ideas but recalling what Huishe Xiyue said she could only reassure them, "I guess we can only wait."

Qilin Kai, who was still holding on to his son who had passed out from all the crying said, "You all aren't going to tell her the truth? Hahaha..... I thought you had repented but I guess our elders still like withholding the truth.

"What is he talking about?" asked Qilin Hao completely left in the dark.

Simultaneous echoes of denials by the elders rang in the main hall only for Qilin Kai to say, "Before Ji Yao, you had the acany seed. One brazen midwife at your birth found out about it and spread the gossip because our clan was obsessed with getting an heir to the throne."
