He wanted more than anything to hug her and express his gratitude but he knew he couldn't. He could only hug her son instead to show how much he appreciated her acceptance. Raising his head to look at the ceiling he clenched his fists as he closed his eyes and sighed deeply.

A cool breeze swept past his cheeks making him shiver. He lowered his head and caught a glimpse of the figure outlined on the bed. His heart fluttered as he resolutely took a step forward.

The breeze brushed past the lace curtain revealing the lump underneath the quilt curled up like a ball in a defensive posture.

Rui Fei's sense of insecurity was apparent even in his sleep. He just wanted to embrace the person and stroke his hair soothingly while reassuring him.

As he said this he dragged Ji Yao over his arm wrapping around his lover's body and his leg hooking Ji Yao's lower half trapping him in place. He burrowed his head into Ji Yao's chest like he wanted to combine their bodies as one.

This person wasn't sleeping, right? "Ah-Fei," he whispered into his ear while stroking the back of his head but he got no response. At this point, his entire body was pressed down like a heavy boulder was weighing down on him making him wonder if he would be able to sleep tonight.

"You aren't sleeping are you?" he asked but Rui Fei didn't respond. He was inhaling deeply as though taking in his scent while pulling him even closer. Ji Yao who felt like he was going to get pressed down to death at this point tried to move Rui Fei a little but he was stuck on him like white on rice.

Having given up he lay there stroking Rui Fei's hair. His heart softened seeing how his lover was acting spoilt while sleeping. At this moment he felt like Rui Fei was somewhat cute.

Five minutes later he was proven wrong. He thought he wouldn't be able to sleep with something heavy pressing down on his body but he was out cold like he had passed out in a drunken stupor. He was so exhausted that he could ignore Rui Fei weighing down on him.
