Though it was only his neck that was visible to him it was as though he was forced to strip naked and parade through the streets just like Cersei did around king's landing. He uncomfortably placed his hand on the side of his neck attempting to cover it up.

Huishe Xiyue saw this and couldn't help but take out a blue silk scarf from her storage space and walked over to him. She was about to wrap it around him only for her steps to pause. She changed her mind handing the silk scarf to Rui Fei.

Rui Fei took it and thanked her with a beaming smile. Like a proud husband putting a necklace around his wife he bought as an anniversary gift. Ji Yao was blushing like a rosebud in the rain.

It honestly felt like the ceremony where the groom presents betrothal gifts as a formal proposal to the bride's parents. Well, less the gifts.

To ease the awkward atmosphere Qilin Hao spoke first. She was sitting with her feet up on the coffee table her entire body leaning on Ji Wen in an embrace. "We wanted to ask you two what your plan is. We support you..... well, at least I and your father will."

Ji Wen who still held a grudge against Rui Fei was eyeing him like a viper ready to strike at any second but he held back. Why was he being so well behaved? It was because his lovely wife was holding grudges about last night. If he could be petty then she could be petty too.

Rui Fei could feel the menacing look coming from that side of the room but his mind was muddled because of the pink bubbles floating around him putting his mentality in a trance. He was carefully wrapping the silk scarf around Ji Yao with a shy smile.

Huishe Shushi couldn't help but pat her cheeks that had grown hot from watching this scene. Her fondness for Ji Yao had grown drastically as she watched this beautiful scene. What she didn't realise was that the fujoshi spirit was slowly creeping into her heart possessing every inch of her flesh and bones.

She just wanted to scream, "Where is the bridal sedan? Let's get this two married," but of course, she was a dignified lady. She wouldn't do that. She fumbled around for her husband's hand and when her fingers touched his she wrote characters on his palm. As Huishe Nan made out what she was saying his head shifted to look at her his brow raised. He didn't expect her to be this enthusiastic.

Seeing that Rui Fei was done being a doting husband, Huishe Xiyue said, "Before we proceed we wanted to know what you want to do. Yesterday you mentioned unifying the worlds as one but how are you going to do that?.... Just remember whatever it is that you decide we will back you up."

Ji Yao glanced over at the people sitting opposite him and said, "We are all going to be family and I know you fought over where we are going to live. If we pick Niuq it means Ah-Fei would have to derelict his duty as the leader of both humans and half Nocru in this world. And now that I have awakened as King I can't derelict my duty as well."

"So you have decided to accept that responsibility?" asked Huishe Nan his expression serious. What had happened had happened and it was too late to change things so they could only go with the flow. He knew Ji Yao would be met with some resistance before he is crowned but as the Huishe clan leader, he was prepared to support him all the way.

Ji Yao looked in Rui Fei's direction. Since they were now unofficial husbands he had to ask Rui Fei's opinion. In fact, he had wanted to discuss it with him beforehand but they were plenty of distractions this morning that he forgot to mention it.

Rui Fei's hand naturally slid behind Ji Yao's shoulder only for it to freeze when he felt that searing gaze boring through his skin his actions paused and he retracted his arm. In a place where Ji Wen couldn't see his fingers were playfully pressing Ji Yao's back.

Ji Yao bit his lower lip staring at Rui Fei while gesturing with his hand for them to give the two of them a second. He leaned closer to Rui Fei's ear and his sweetheart tacitly leaned closer to hear what he was going to say.

"Should we go outside and talk about it?" he said as Rui Fei's fingers caressed his lower back with seductive undertones. Ji Yao felt a little ticklish but he resisted the urge to push Rui Fei's arm away.

Rui Fei covered his mouth with his hand and whispered back, "Yes, we should really talk about it," but in truth, he just wanted to get Ji Yao alone and kiss those lips that had accidentally brushed up against his earlobe.
