"Okay, let's go," said Lan Wu as he grabbed Huishe Yue's arm lest he makes trouble again. Huishe Yue didn't object. He allowed himself to be dragged along by Lan Wu but he still managed to get one last word in.

"Our offer still stands. We are in the market to adopt and who wouldn't want to have two awesome dads like us... Baby slow down," he said almost tripping as he was pulled along.

Rui Fei pinched Rui Li's cheeks puffed up like a pufferfish and said, "You hear that. They want to adopt you. How about that Li-er?"

For the sake of revenge, Rui Li channelled her inner drama queen and stood close to Ji Yao while complaining, "Saozi look he wants to get rid of me. I haven't seen him for a very long time but the first thing he does is get rid of me."

As she spoke she stomped her foot with tear-filled eyes like she had been truly bullied. Ji Yao didn't have siblings nor did he want them because he knew he would be the one to raise them but he liked watching the interaction among these three siblings. He never said it but he found it rather entertaining.

"Are you trying to ruin my image in his eyes? And here I thought you were my greatest supporter it turns out you are a black powder fan after all," said Rui Fei while rubbing his chin while continuing with his act.

"So you are really doing this? Really? *sigh..... we are going to be here for a while," said Rui Yewan as he took a seat on one of the boulders in the garden with his hand propping up his head.

"Okay, okay... Our Li-er has been wronged. We will adopt you and... I will give him ten lashes later as punishment for upsetting our little meimei," said Ji Yao with a warm smile on his face but he didn't immediately notice the sudden change in expressions on the faces of the people around him.

And when he realised it the smile on his face froze. Rui Yewan was covering his face with his hand on his forehead while facing away. Rui Li had gotten rid of her pitiful expression and her eyes were sparkling like pearls in the moonlight.

His ambiguous words had stimulated her nerves again but instead of fainting, a drop of crimson blood flowed down her nostril. Concerned Ji Yao took out a handkerchief and handed it over to her.

"Are you okay?" he asked as she pinched her nose with the handkerchief.

Rui Fei took a step closer to him with a sly smile and said, "You say such things yet you dare to ask? And here I thought you are thin-skinned."

Ji Yao was confused. He didn't understand what he was talking about. As though possessed by some evil ghost Rui Fei leaned forward and whispered, "Please be lenient when you whip me. I might not be able to take it Yao-ge," in a licentious voice that made it easy for one to understand his meaning.

He was speechless. He didn't mean that but it seemed all three of them had misread his meaning. "You all have dirty minds. It makes sense because you are siblings," he said defending himself. How could what he said be mistaken for that.

Ji Yao couldn't believe it. He looked at Rui Li who was tilting her head with a smile so bright like she had received the world's greatest gift. If she was to die now she would leave this world with no regrets. He should have let it go but instead, he wanted someone to validate him.

He looked around and saw Zhang Ci and part of the crew of Red Valkyrie from a distance. He was about to call them over when Rui Fei stopped him.

"Baby, you are their boss so of course, they will side with you. We need someone who is impartial and sees things without an underlings' filter," he said holding Ji Yao's wrist with both his hands.

"But doesn't that mean everyone in the imperial city will be biased towards him? How can you tell the future empress that he is wrong?" said Rui Li while lowering her head before taking off the handkerchief checking if she was still bleeding?

Ji Yao who was still so eager to be proven right retrieved his hand from Rui Fei's grasp and folded his arms across his chest. "What do you propose then?" he asked for once being as stubborn as an ox.

Rui Li had a sudden inspiration, "How about I ask three random people and if they agree with you these two will admit they have dirty minds," she said wiping away the blood.

"How about you?" asked Rui Yewan a little confused.

"That's because I have a dirty mind so I will admit it right away. I see filthy things in everything so Wan Wan better not get close to anyone otherwise I will be shipping your CP," she said her expression as evil as Louise from Bob's burgers.

Rui Yewan was not afraid of his sister but at this moment his body shivered a little. He had decided a long time ago to be asexual and aromantic which means he didn't want to fall in love or develop sexual attraction for anyone. In other words, he planned on being a monk. He wanted to live happily with his family and these three people in front of him were his family.

Ji Yao felt his heart jolt in fright. What could this little girl want him to wear that couldn't be shown in public. He might not know but Rui Yewan knew what it was. As to how he knew it. It was because Rui Li made him the sewing mannequin once and her excuse back then was that she was making something for herself.
