Ji Yao scolds two big men

Like Ji Wen said Rui Fei was indeed banished to the cold palace after both of them were scolded to the high heavens. The scene was especially comical considering that it was two big men with swollen faces being scolded by a man shorter than the both of them. 0

With their heads hung low the pair didn't dare look at him. Even the pirates in the stands didn't dare make a peep. They were even afraid to take back their money from the bet after that earful.

By the time Ji Yao was done with them, the entire imperial palace found out that the King of the Nocru was not only a handsome powerful man but he was very good at scolding.

That guy who seemed introverted could spit out venom. Ha... maybe that's why he doesn't talk much otherwise he would hurt people's feelings.

After he left the pirates in the stands silently slipped away like snakes slithering into their holes but before they could even see the exit there was a loud bang and the doors shut.

Following that there was a loud shing from a sabre and Rui Li spoke up with her brother backing her up. "Where do you think you are going? It's time you pay up bitches," she said as her sabre struck down on the stands making them flinch. There was another fierce one throwing a tantrum.

She laid a wager on the fight ending in a draw but here they were, running away with the money. One can understand why they wanted to run. It was because she was the only one who had bet for those odds.

"Ah, Miss Rui, can't you spare us poor folk. We have children to feed," said Old Du who by the way has no kids, not even an embryo.

Rui Li chuckled while nudging his brother who also found it amusing. "Hehe, children my ass. You should have thought of the children before you placed that bet."

"And now that our brother has screwed up we need lots and lots of betrothal gifts so your losses will be put to good use," said Rui Yewan a dark fog gathered at the tips of his fingers.

"Not happening," yelled Xunshi Zhe before leaping out of the stands and running with the loot. But that was his biggest mistake. He might be able to deal with one Rui kid but two, well, that was impossible.

Two minutes later the money was shaken out of him like mangoes being shaken out of a tree. Rui Li collected her winnings with a gleeful smile and thanked him. "Uncle Zhe... it's a pleasure doing business with you," she said before walking out with her brother.

After being robbed the crew members couldn't help but want to voice their complaints but who were they supposed to complain to? Who was a thief supposed to complain to when they get robbed? Though in this case it couldn't exactly be called a robbery because they made a wager and lost a lot of money.

While these pirates were mourning the loss of their loot Rui Fei was trying to get Ji Yao to talk to him but the man was as stubborn as a mule remaining unmoved.

"Baby," he called out as he tried to catch up with Ji Yao but he was walking so fast that Rui Fei had to engage his aether. With a whoosh, he vanished on the spot only to reappear in front of Ji Yao blocking his path.

Ji Yao stopped and stared at that swollen face his expression unreadable. His heart softened a little but it wasn't soft enough to let this man off the hook.

Why was he mad? It was because Rui Fei willingly got roped into this fight by his father. He could have used this very same skill he used now and come to find him but he chose to fight instead.

What Ji Yao failed to notice was that to Rui Fei this was a necessary step in developing a relationship with his father in law so they could finally bury the hatchet.

Ji Yao was slightly annoyed. He sighed and the puff of air from his lips lightly brushed the hair strands on his face making Rui Fei's hands itch.

He wanted to move closer and twirl those strands of hair in between his fingers like he always did but he knew this kitten was so pissed off and won't let him touch.

"Baby, don't be mad...," he said but Ji Yao moved to the side about to walk away. Rui Fei hurriedly mirrored his movement and blocked his path again.

"He kidnapped me and told me that we have to fight so I can prove that I am worthy of you," he explained but Ji Yao only got angrier. Did Rui Fei being worthy of him still need to be validated?

He glared at his father who hastily hid behind Qilin Hao as though that would make him invisible. Ji Yao almost rolled his eyes at this. "Then keep hanging out with him till you are done proving that you are worthy of me," said Ji Yao before leaning down and escaping underneath Rui Fei's stretched out arm that he was using to block his path.

Rui Fei panicked a little and subconsciously turned his body around. He grabbed Ji Yao's elbow and plastered his body onto Ji Yao's back before whispering into his ear, "Baby, I was wrong. I am sorry."

Ji Yao's breathing tightened and he almost caved in. In the end, he remained resolute as he pulled Rui Fei's hand off and vanished. Thus being banished into the cold palace by his empress.

"You are lucky he spoke to you. When he gets this angry forget him speaking, he won't even look at you and if he does it's more like a glare so fierce it makes you feel like your soul has been dragged to hell.... It's so terrifying it gives me the chills," explained Ji Wen as he shivered from the thought of it.

Rui Fei clenched his jaw tightly preventing him from ostracizing his father in law. He was the one who brought him into this situation in the first place.

Qilin Hao grabbed Ji Wen's arm while saying to Rui Fei, "If you want him to forgive you I suggest going on your knees when you are alone tonight and massaging his feet."

Rui Fei, "..."

She chuckled before saying, "These two don't look alike but they most certainly act the same way when they are upset. Their feet are like their weak spot." When Ji Yao cried as a kid tickling his feet seemed to make him happy. Though she didn't stay with him for a long time after he was born she was extremely observant.

Ji Wen was the same. Touch his feet and he would melt like ice and his mind would become muddled. "Wait..... is that? Oh my gosh, how the hell did you figure that out? Is that why we have Ji Yao in the first place?"
