Ji Yao clenched his fist and called out through gritted teeth, "Rui Fei!"

This is the moment that he knew..... he had fucked up. He had two choices. One is to stand here and honestly receive his punishment or two struggle a little before receiving his penalty. Well, he obviously chose the latter.

He simultaneous ran for his life while trying to appease his lover at the same time. Constant shouts like "Baby, I was wrong," and, "I am sorry," permeated the air as he ran down the road with Ji Yao hot on his heels.

Rui Li and Rui Yewan naturally followed after them one grinning like a fool and the other already picking his older brother's coffin.

By the time Ji Yao caught up with him they were already nearing the entrance to the imperial city. With a loud crackling sound Ji Yao swung his flameless whip sword and captured his target like a cowboy roping a calf.

Ji Yao yanked his whip sword and pulled Rui Fei back. The two of them met face to face with Rui Fei's arms tied to his body. "Ah-Fei, you do realise you tossed me around the entire night yet you dare make me chase after you...," complained Ji Yao with a hint of grievance.

Rui Fei felt a little guilty so he leaned closer and said, "Baby, I was wrong. You can punish me however you like, okay? And you can ask me to make anything..... I will make it for you. Anything you want," with a helpless smile on his face.

Ji Yao, who was for some reason easily coaxed today loosened his restraints and walked past him while saying, "So you can call me fat later? No way. I am not eating anything you make ever again."

"Ah..... you two run so fast. Was that your initial intention?" complained Rui Li wondering why they just didn't engage their aethers.

Rui Yewan stretched his back and said, "Yuh, that was their plan all along. Damn, why did we even follow?"

Rui Fei who had been hit by a heavy rock on his chest by Ji Yao's words walked over in two strides and held either side of Ji Yao's waist to stop him. What he didn't realise was that Ji Yao was implementing his father's tactic. He was guilt tripping Rui Fei and boy did it work.

Rui Fei slipped underneath the veil and what happened next was as expected. Ji Yao was kissed under that veil making passersby blush. Such a turn of events was so unexpected that Rui Li almost fainted again.

These two were truly out to torment her. Even Rui Yewan didn't know where to put his hands and feet. His eyes darted away as he casually mentioned the weather to Rui Li. "It seems like it's going to rain today," he said only for Rui Li to snap at him,

"Who cares about the stupid rain when it's already raining showers of love. If I die today I will die a happy woman."

For a moment Rui Yewan was confused. His brow creased as he asked, "What woman? You are clearly a little girl. You are the furthest thing from being a woman."

Rui Li, "..."

It was indeed true but how could she easily accept that? Feeling insulted she pulled at Rui Yewan's hair and thus a small sibling fight played in the background of the pair of love birds kissing underneath a white veil flattering with the wind.

If this moment was captured with a camera it would be one of the most iconic pictures in the world. It was one of the happiest moments in Rui Fei's life that deserved to be captured and treasured forever.

Their lips parted and the two stared at each other with the veil acting as a barrier blocking them from the outside screams of Rui Yewan getting his hair pulled or Rui Li being placed in a headlock.

"Should I carry you on my back as a show of my sincerity?" asked Rui Fei but before Ji Yao could refuse he was directly picked up in a princess carry.

"I thought you said you would carry me on your back?" asked Ji Yao with his arms naturally wrapping around Rui Fei's neck.

"I changed my mind. This way it's more convenient for me to kiss you.... You two keep up!" he yelled after Rui Li and Rui Yewan completely missing Ji Yao's face blushing through the veil.

Ji Yao was a little bashful but he also liked being carried in a princess carry. What was he supposed to do? Save face or enjoy the comfort of Rui Fei's strong arms?
