Ji Yao had survived his entire life without experiencing such a thing. No one dared say shit to his face about him being born into a family of sea bandits. No one dared point out his shortcomings to his face. Even his father thought twice before telling him that he was wearing his boots on the wrong feet when he was young. 2

When he did something wrong his father would pick an auspicious day with great weather to criticize him yet this woman who had no relation to him whatsoever dared to publicly scold him and his lover when they had done absolutely nothing wrong. 

He initially wanted to let her go with a slap on the wrist but she kept running her mouth unrestrainedly. This naturally meant that he didn't need to hold back.

As the veil uncovered that handsome face the crowd of onlookers gasped in astonishment. They were clearly in the presence of an immortal descended from the heavens. What part of this heaven-defying phoenix was acting like a rice weevil to be kept by a man?

Rui Fei immediately noticed their reactions and a sense of unease rushed up to his throat. He could tell Ji Yao was in his zone disciplining an ignorant citizen but he couldn't handle the sour taste at the tip of his tongue.

He needed a little sweetness to cure this sour sensation thus he moved his finger towards Ji Yao and managed to rub the back of his hand. His action was subtle that only the woman crawling on the ground to get away saw it.

As he brushed the tip of his finger on Ji Yao's skin he licked his lip feeling as though a million butterflies were flying inside him. He instantly wanted to get even closer so he moved his foot a little while keeping a straight face like he wasn't eating tofu just now.

Ji Yao was extremely livid that he didn't immediately notice Rui Fei's actions. On his face, he wore a stygian expression with a dreadful smile that made the woman's blood freeze. Her face ghastly white like a ghost she crawled backwards before raising her trembling finger her lips quivering.

The corners of Ji Yao's lips rose higher as he said, "What? You have nothing to say anymore?... My mother and father have no problem with my personal choices as long as I don't bring harm to others yet... you as a stranger dare to scold me? What right do you have, huh?"

As soon as he said this a spine chilling thunderous clap ripped through the sky before ferocious lightning sparks infused with flames descended from who knows where and viciously struck anything that wasn't breathing. Be it buildings, small bridges, pagodas or the trees, they all bore the brunt of this ill-tempered King.

A powerful breeze tore through the streets accompanying the vicious lightning storm. Ji Yao's robe flattered with the breeze as his dark eyes transformed with one a bright red and the other a vivid blue.

Around him, a jagged white light slithered like a constrictor making the Nocru whether it be half or pure blood feel the urge to bow. The crowd screamed as they cowered not daring to move.

The light from Ji Yao's eyes became even brighter resulting in the lightning sparks multiplying as they began to strike the ground near the crowd.

The woman who had started this mess was curled up into a ball as she shrieked with lightning shattering around her like vipers ceaselessly striking at the enemy. The woman was so frightened that a wet patch spread at the back of her dress.

Seeing this Ji Yao frowned in disgust before retracting his seraphic energy wrecking havoc in the city. The lightning storm and powerful breeze tearing through the city abruptly halted.

An eerie calmness filled the city. It was so silent that one was even afraid to cough lest this young sir decides to take out his anger on them.

Rui Fei who by the way found this hot couldn't help but do something that could have him in the dog house. Maybe it was because of the thrill of having Ji Yao scare the shit out of the stupidly obstinate woman that he felt like kissing his lover passionately.

Just like the hero kissing the beauty in front of everyone as though marking their territory, Rui Fei grabbed Ji Yao's wrist and pulled him closer.

With one hand on the side of Ji Yao's face and the other on the man's waist, he kissed those soft lips fiercely. Time seemed to freeze at this moment their lips entangled with each other like no one else was watching.

Ji Yao who hadn't expected him to react this way tightly grasped the man's arm asking him to stop but his grip loosened as his knees softened from the intense emotions coursing through his body. His cheek and the side of his waist that was being held by Rui Fei felt hot as a rush of excitement spread all over his body.

He quickly sank into this pit with his body heating up exponentially. But his enjoyment was suddenly cut short when the hot lips pressed against his abandoned him. Dissatisfied he subconsciously followed Rui Fei only for a thumb to rub the corner of his moist lips.

Ji Yao slowly opened his eyes and gazed at Rui Fei his mind a mess. Seeing this Rui Fei smiled before whispering, "Baby I am hungry. Let's go eat."

Ji Yao who had been swept off his feet exhaled deeply while saying, "Okay." Rui Fei led his sweetheart by the waist and left behind a dumbstruck crowd that had no idea how to react.

The pair could care less about the crowd walking away like what just happened had nothing to do with them. Soon low murmurs were heard as the crowd dispersed.

The woman who had been scared half to death suddenly opened her mouth to ask her servants to help her up when a loud shing sound was heard and a cold icy blade appeared on her neck.

Mortified she slowly raised her head terrified to see the face on the other end of that sabre. Tears began to flow down her face as she stared at that girl who had stood up for the pair earlier.

Her expression was especially fierce as she stared down at her like a butcher staring coldly at a carcass.

"Why so much hate? Did they eat rice at your house or something? Tsk... now you have done it. I can't even guarantee your safety yet on second thought..... you wet yourself in public and dying might be a much better option," said Rui Yewan with a cocked brow.
