He was scared that if his father separated from his mother by accident then what would happen to him in that situation? What if he happens to chance upon pure blood Nocru with bad intentions? Won't they grab him to bend Ji Yao to their will?1

This was also the reason why Ji Yao didn't want anyone in the Concord to cross over with him to Niuq. He was terrified that some malicious Nocru would take advantage.

"What if someone with evil intentions holds him hostage or something?" he asked his mother with a look of concern on his face. Qilin Hao naturally understood but she felt ill at ease not having Ji Wen by her side.

She wanted to be there for her son but she was also afraid of leaving her husband by himself. It's only if she had him by her side will she feel a sense of ease.

"He is safer by my side," she said only for Ji Wen to wrap his arms around Qilin Hao and say,

"My baby will protect me. I will be the damsel in distress and you will be my hero..... mm you smell so nice," said Ji Wen with his nose resting on Qilin Hao's shoulder.

Qilin Hao couldn't help but pat his fluffy head and said, "But you are always the damsel in distress. It's not fair."

Ji Yao, "..."

They were obviously going to start flirting again but Ji Yao didn't feel like watching this. If his mother says she's got this then she most definitely has it. He turned away from them only to hear Ji Wen say, "How about I carry you in a princess carry and play the role of the knight in shining armour? Would that help?"

Ji Yao, "???"

This level of flirting was beyond him. What he failed to realise was that he and Rui Fei were much worse than that.

"Shall we go now?" he asked his question addressed to Huishe Nan. Huishe Nan was also tired of these people stuffing them with dog food so he hastily nodded his head and grasped his wife's waist before saying,

"Madam Huishe, your chariot awaits."

After saying that he leapt into the sky with his body shrouded in bright light. While soaring into the sky he transformed into his true form and Huishe Shushi who was used to this laughed loudly as she saddled the Huishe's back in an almost natural manner.

Ji Yao who thought he had escaped the massive unrestraint show of PDA was now being blinded by his husband's grandparents showing affection. Ji Yao sighed as he leapt up into the sky and transformed into his true form heading straight for Niuq which looked incredibly different from earth.

The trees, landscape and sky were different in either colour or shape which was incredible. Where the barrier between worlds had been ripped open it seemed fertile and sturdy as the purple trees were the least bit affected by the incident a couple of days ago.

The side of the earth was bald like someone had taken a shaving stick and just shaved off all the trees. Niuq on the other hand was lush and beautiful as though untouched.

While Ji Yao was drifting in the beautiful skies he noticed a Huishe in its true form flying over and under him in a circle three times before flying alongside him.

"Don't you feel dizzy?" asked Ji Yao. Of course, he knew it was Rui Fei. Be it in his true form Ji Yao could still recognize him and he was a little proud of that.

Rui Fei flipped his body upside down with his belly facing up and his eye on Ji Yao. "No," he replied before gliding underneath Ji Yao's half Qilin and half Raiju state his head slightly raised.

Ji Yao looked down and reprimanded him, "You should look where you are going."

Rui Fei chuckled as he spun his body around again and moved away from underneath Ji Yao. He rode the wind until he was flying beside Ji Yao and said, "You will be my eyes."

"Tch, why are you so troublesome today?" asked Ji Yao but in truth, he was extremely happy today.

"I am only troublesome to you baby," said Rui Fei feeling a little smug.

Ji Yao almost rolled his eyes before saying, "Okay wise guy. How about you erect a temporary barrier along the boundary for me? I don't want there to be any trouble while we are gone."

Rui Fei agreed on the spot before his large Huishe body vanished. A second later a strong transparent barrier appeared where the two worlds initially met preventing anyone or anything from crossing over indiscriminately.

Not even a minute later Rui Fei reappeared alongside Ji Yao and asked, "How was that? Fast enough?"

"If only you were that fast in bed then my waist wouldn't be sore," replied Ji Yao taunting him.

Rui Fei laughed with the long strands on either side of his nose slithering faster than usual. "I need to savour the moment and besides you wouldn't be satisfied if I was that fast."

Ji Yao, "..." That was indeed a fact.

"Yao-ge, what do you think of my true form? Is it appealing?" he asked completely changing the subject with no reservations.

"What do you mean by what do I think of your true form?" asked Ji Yao turning to look at him.

Rui Fei moved closer and said, "I mean if you were to meet me in my true form would you have fallen in love with me at first sight."

Ji Yao, "...."

How was he supposed to answer that question without hurting Rui Fei's feelings? Since it was virtually impossible he said, "Baby, I didn't even fall in love with you at first sight when you were in your human form so....."

"*Gasp.... did you have to be so direct?" said Rui Fei aggrievedly.

"Okay, did you fall in love with me at first sight?" counterattacked Ji Yao.

Rui Fei was speechless. Was it truly love at first sight or more like obsession at first sight?
