The sky that was approaching dusk glowed with a dark sea blue overwhelming the skies and the horizon was dazzling Tuscon gold with faint hints of light red.0

But as the pillars on each clan lit up the peaceful skies were suddenly covered in a myriad of red and blue like the explosion of fireworks taking over the skies like the fourth of July.

A lot of Nocru had no idea what was happening as most of them had no idea what these stone pearl white pedestals were. All they knew was that it was passed down from generation to generation that this pedestal was not meant to be touched or moved.

Most clans had effectively erased this part of history when educating their young clan members. They would only pass it on to the future calm leader who would also pass it down in turn.

One can imagine their surprise when this thing that had lay dominant throughout their lives suddenly exploded. A myriad of emotions overwhelmed them. There was a new world order and they didn't even know it.

The ones that knew were standing outside the city of kings unable to get in as things living city had determined that they were a threat to the new king. They were so pissed off but couldn't even vent their anger.

Some brave souls tried to break in but they suffered grievous injuries that had them unable to stand up. This was all kinds of fucked up but they were powerless against all of it.

It's not that Ji Yao didn't have support

Mixed in with the crowd were plenty who were very welcoming to this new world order. The Qilin clan that had abandoned Nocru under Qilin San's rule were now walking in the city of kings with their heads held high.

It wasn't an exaggeration to call them peacocks. Man and women were flaunting their colourful feathers and middle fingers which didn't settle well with the other clans.

The Raiju who should have celebrated the fact that they had a half Raiju on the throne couldn't bring themselves to.

That's mostly because they looked down on the human blood circulating in Ji Yao's body. But who gives a fuck, right?

Ji Yao could give a rat's arse of what was happening now because something big was happening in the main hall. There was not only a crown but something even more special.

When Huishe Nan instructed him to stab his sword into the pedestal of flames it was engulfed in flames and by the time he drew it out, it had transformed into a godly weapon. What did he mean by godly weapon?

While it was within the pedestal divine senses weapons from the former kings appeared and surrounded the pedestal. Some were black, some a glowing green, others were sabres and others battle axes. The entire hall was surrounded by what one would describe as the ghostly weapons of the ones that came before him which were in their hundreds if not thousands.

Such a scene was something even Huishe Nan had only witnessed in old scripts. Now seeing it happen before his very eyes he felt like crying. It touched a special place in his heart.

Huishe Nan wasn't the only one. Everyone felt something as they stood there witnessing such a magnificent event. Soon they began to rush towards Ji Yao's sword and each time that happened the sword would be elevated high up in the air.

Ji Yao suddenly noticed that each time his sword absorbed a weapon's divine sense the hilt of his sword would change its structure. One after the other they combined with Ji Yao's sword and after the last one merged the sword descendant with a whoosh and fell into Ji Yao's raised hand.

Despite having absorbed the power of so many weapons it was still so light. Ji Yao felt the sword in his hand and his eyebrow arched in surprise. As he held it he felt a refreshing power spread into his aetherial veins healing every part of his body. It was as though he had been granted a fresh state in life.

As he placed his sword to his side Rui Fei walked over with his eyes bright as the full moon. It was obvious he was curious about the sword so Ji Yao asked, "You want to touch it?"

Rui Fei raised his head and nodded his head in excitement. Ji Yao didn't hesitate he immediately handed the sword over and Rui Fei's eyes further brightened. The upgrade on the sword was so amazing unfortunately he couldn't use it.

But one thing he did notice though was the fact that the darkness in his aether somewhat seemed to subconsciously thirst for the power held up in the sword. The craving was so serious that he thought he might lose himself and try to absorb it but he would never let that happen.

He gave the sword back only to raise his head and find Huishe Nan placing a crown on Ji Yao's head. It was a silver crown made out of vines tangled together to form a magnificent work of art. And when it was placed on his head some of its vines unravelled and embroidered a golden sequence down the hem of Ji Yao's robes down to his brocade boots.

It was essentially turning his clothes to exquisite wear as though he was going to a fancy banquet. Ji Yao was as much in shock as the rest. He couldn't understand what was going on in the mind of the first king to come up with such an unusual idea.

Seeing his grandson's eyes almost popping out of his sockets he said, "I heard that the queen's crown also does the same thing."

Rui Fei was so excited that pumped his fist and murmured, "Yes," making Rui Li jealous. She didn't ask for much but who wouldn't want a crown that does that?

"Dang, why can't we have one of those? Where do they make them because I would love one," she said seriously thinking through all the countless possibilities of she had something as amazing as this.

Rui Yewan almost laughed out loud. She never cared about how she looked before and his conjecture was from past observations.
