A New Zombie Variant

I waved off her comment, not bothered by it in the slightest.1

"It's fine, don't worry about it. Are you hurt in any type of way?"

She nodded before motioning down towards one of her ankles, grimacing as she moved it slightly. "Erm... yeah. I twisted my ankle when a friend of mine had turned into one of those horrifying monsters and began chasing me through the school halls. It was actually the zombie that flew out of the window..."

Rubbing the back of my head in a sheepish manner, I cleared my throat awkwardly. "Sorry about that. However, I wasn't going to just let him turn Rei into one of those things as well."

Understandably, she began to frantically wave her hands in my direction, panic written on her face. "No, no, no! I totally get it. My friend was long gone anyways... it had to be done."

Another feminine scream echoed in the distance, which sounded like it was near the nurses office. "Come on, guys! Let's go check it out!" I said quickly, taking off in the direction of the noise.

That reminded me of the airheaded blonde woman with huge tits that I've been really wanting to fuck ever since I laid my eyes on her. However, I've just had a bunch of other stuff on my plate so far that I never actually got to it. However, that was going to change once we were out of this shithole.

Miku lagged behind slightly with her injured ankle and we made sure to keep at a pace that was just enough for the girl to stay with us. As of right now, that could be a potential burden later on, but I wasn't going to abandon her if things continued to run smoothly.

Plus, Kohta was kind of the same way, considering his... bigger size. I mean, he was the slowest out of everyone in the group but that didn't mean any of us had thought to just leave him behind because of it.

Also, he hated running. The poor guy made that very clear earlier.

Once all of us had reached the nurses office safe and sound, I grabbed onto the knob and yanked the door open, which revealed Shizuka Marikawa slowly backing away from a pair of zombies that were obviously trying to kill her.

Kohta took the initiative this time and shot the back of an undead student's head, causing it to flop down to the tiled floor moments later as it fully died.

Rei followed that up with a quick dash towards the last remaining zombie before she swung her steel weapon into it's side, which made the walking corpse lose it's balance and fall. Before it could get back up on it's own two feet, she aimed the pointed end at the zombie and ended it's short life with a downwards stab to the brain.

"Good job, you two." I complimented them, which got an evil grin out of Kohta and a cute little smile out of Rei.

'There was two types of people...' I trailed off within my head, chuckling to myself. As I kept my eyes on the group this whole time, I've noticed it was getting easier for them to kill zombies. I wonder how they were rationalizing it...

It's them or me? They're not human anymore? ... I enjoy it?

For me, it was a combination of the first two. Kohta was honestly exuding energy that belonged to the third option, which was a little concerning. To be honest, I highly doubt that he would start killing actual people with the same kind of enthusiasm, nor do I think that he would go insane as long as he wasn't left alone.

We just have to basically take care of one another.

Shizuka, in her own little world, stared at us as if we were a team of superheroes that had come to rescue her like a damsel in distress. "Ohh, wow!~ You guys look so cool standing in the doorway like that... Thank you for saving my life!~" Jogging over to us, the enormous pair of fleshy mounds connected to her chest began swinging in every direction, which hypnotized me for a few seconds.

Kohta was about the same way, a little blood leaking down his nose before he quickly noticed and wiped away the evidence. However, that soon turned into a small bit of jealousy as Shizuka placed a kiss on my cheek.

Rei didn't seem to be that bothered by it, which Miku noticed with a glance as they stood right next to each other before she leaned towards the brown haired girl. "Aren't you his girlfriend?"

It took a few seconds for Rei to understand what she was talking about before she responded in a calm tone of voice. "Ever since I've known Dante, which is longer than we've been together in an actual relationship, females have always been really attracted to him. I swear, it's like they can just sense that he's nearby sometimes, his allure is just so powerful."

Miku nodded as Rei continued to whisper while the others conversed with Shizuka. She felt it as well when they all met.

"We eventually had to talk about it because I used to get jealous really easily, which started to affect our relationship. I was afraid that one of them would steal him away from me. Dante seemed to understand where I was coming from... and then he told me about his family."

Raising an eyebrow, Miku was confused at that answer. However, she made sure to stay quiet as Rei still wasn't done with her explanation.

"It turns out that he's been in a relationship with both his mother and sister after all this time. Yeah, I know. It shocked me at first as well. They've even gone all the way. Dante also told me that he's not actually blood related to them. However, they have been taking care of him ever since he was a small child."

Suffice to say, Miku was flabbergasted at this new information, and for an unknown reason... it kind of turned her on. The lewd thoughts running rampant inside of her head right now-

"I was considerably shocked after that and he told me that it wouldn't bother him if I had decided to end our relationship now that I knew what kind of person he was. Although I thought about it because I wasn't into sharing him at first... we eventually came to a mutual agreement." Rei explained, staring at her boyfriends strong back in admiration. "I really do love him..."

Miku watched as a gentle smile crawled onto Rei's face after that before she too looked at Dante in a different light, unconsciously licking her lips.

Rei cleared her throat, shaking off her daze. There was a slight reddish tint to her face. "Alright, I think I've said enough now."

The group made their way out of the nurses office before going down towards the ground floor of the high school.

~Nobody's POV~

"This is disgusting... Saya, hurry it up. We need to keep moving and find Dante." Saeko whispered, using the bokken in hand to move certain things out of her way. Most of it appeared to be some kind of slimy tissue that occasionally pulsed like a heartbeat.

Stepping over a puddle of nasty sludge, Saya nearly threw up as she tried to keep up with Saeko, the two girls walking through the monster infested ground floor of the Fujimi Academy.

"Ugh, I miss him so much already..." Saya complained to herself. Saeko seemed to hear what she was saying and voiced her agreement.

"I feel the same way. However, Dante would want us to be strong in a situation like this. If you aren't going to be strong for yourself then do it for your big brother."

That apparently calmed her down enough because Saya didn't really say much after Saeko's little motivational speech.

A few minutes had passed with the two girls still continuing to navigate through the significantly altered environment before three zombies came around a corner and heard the duo.

Saeko gripped the bokken with a tight grip, a calm look on her face as she faced the oncoming undead trio.

Saya looked around and spotted a fire extinguisher attached to the wall before she ran over and grabbed it. It would do for now.

One of them tried to get close, which was quickly corrected as Saeko made a quick movement of her own and caved in the monster's face with a well-placed strike before it faceplanted into a small heap of rotten flesh.

After that, most likely due to the sudden contact it had made with the walking corpse, the slimy tissue began to pulse rapidly. However, the two girls hadn't noticed it yet as they continued eliminating the undead trio.

Saya used the fire extinguisher like a baseball bat, using all of her strength to swing it in the face of a zombie, which stunned it enough for Saeko to finish it off.

The last one grabbed ahold of Saya from behind to her surprise, opening it's mouth wide in order to bite down on the girls neck. Reacting quickly, Saeko dashed forward and extended the arm that held her bokken, and it went directly through one of it's eyes. That seemed to be enough for it to let go and drop to the floor, effectively ending that short-lived fight.

However, just as they had caught a small break, there was an odd sound behind them that caught their attention. The two girls turned around and looked towards the floor, confusion written on their faces as they watched the small heap of rotten flesh slowly expand and inflate as it continued pulsing like crazy. They quickly stepped a couple feet backwards in order to create some distance.

A few seconds later and it suddenly exploded, a nasty liquid spilling onto the floor as another zombie seemed to have just been born from it. The two girls immediately noticed how it had a different appearance, which they hadn't ever seen before.

"What the fuck is that-" Saya murmured in shock before she was grabbed on her arm all of a sudden by Saeko, who immediately began running away from the unusual looking zombie with Saya nearly stumbling over as she tried her best to keep up.

Her eyes were narrowed, a determined look on her face. "That thing definitely looks like trouble. We need to find Dante and get out of here. Now."
