2Leaving Kohta to talk with his new gun in the master bedroom as he loaded up the other firearms with ammo, I laid my longbow against the wall in front of the staircase leading up here before walking down into the kitchen.

I was feeling a bit peckish at the moment and could go for some grub. Hopefully, Saeko had already made something to eat for all of us. I was sure that the group had been feeling hungry after everything that's happened today.

As I walked into the kitchen, my eyes were immediately drawn to Saeko's beautiful ass, which was just barely covered up by a black thong. It was basically just a piece of string between her ass cheeks because I could pretty much see everything except the front and back door.

Saeko apparently hadn't noticed me walk into the kitchen because she didn't give any sort of reaction as I stepped right behind her. The purple haired girl's body was bent over as she looked through the refrigerator, humming an unknown tune to herself.

After a couple seconds of silence, I couldn't stop myself from giving her right ass cheek a pinch, which resulted in Saeko whirling around with a prominent blush on her face. Yelping in shock, she reached a hand around to rub the area that had been pinched, and I couldn't help but grin at her cute reaction.

"D-Dante! You should've let me know that you were going to do that..."

A raised eyebrow from me was all that she needed to see before her mind caught up with what she had just said in her embarrassment, further increasing it as the purple haired girl quickly tried to come up with an explanation.

"Well, I-I meant that you should've told me you were here! It scared me when you-" Looking away from me once her face began to turn a brighter shade of red, she bashfully twirled a lock of hair within two fingers. "Erm... you know. When you pinched my butt."

Chuckling at the unusual behavior emanating from the girl who usually wore a mask in front of other people, which served the purpose of displaying a serene and mature big sister type of role, I began to pat Saeko's head in order to calm her down. It was extremely effective as she peered up at me through purple bangs with a pink tint on her face.

"Would you like me to make it feel better?" I joked, the grin still remaining on my face. From the way she lightly hit me in the chest with a loose fist, it was clear that Saeko knew exactly what I was referring to. "It's not fair... you're always teasing me, Dante."

Still patting her head, I gave a small laugh at her somewhat childish behavior. When it was just the two of us, Saeko could be a very different person than what was usually displayed for other people out in public.

Like at school, for example.

"I know it doesn't bother you that much. If it did, you'd have told me already. Correct?"

Saeko breathed out a tired sigh, slowly nodding in reply. I could tell that she was pretty exhausted.

"... You're so cute." I blurted out after staring at her for a moment.

Saeko's eyes widened in response as she looked up at me in surprise, the pink tint on her face slightly increasing due to my words. "W-What did you say?"

Although, she had asked that question, it was more for the fact that she wanted to hear it again.

However, I had other plans instead.

Smirking at the purple haired girl, I leaned down towards her as she began to back up timidly until the cold surface of the refrigerator met her naked back. Putting both of my hands on either side of her head, I looked into Saeko's pretty blue eyes with my own hazel brown orbs, our lips nearly touching due to the very close proximity.

In a near silent whisper, I spoke to her. "Saeko... do you still remember the promise I made to you?"

Surprised by the sudden question, Saeko blushed even harder as she resorted to nodding her head. "... Yes. I-I remember the promise that you made to me about a year ago, but that was before you were in a relationship with Rei-"

"Don't worry, she's fine with it."

Quickly rendered speechless, the purple haired girl's eyes widened as her mouth was left partly open in shock. "What do you mean-"

Cutting Saeko off, I planted my lips onto hers for a brief second, which was all I had to do for the realization to drop like an anvil onto her head. While it was painless, the weight of my words seemed to be all she could handle as her breathing eventually became uneven, her eyes watery to the point that I thought tears were going to start falling.

Wiping her tears away, I gave the apron-clad female a smile. "I'm sorry that I hadn't told you sooner but I was dealing with a bunch of other stuff at the time..." I trailed off as Saeko rammed into my chest with a tight hug all of a sudden, quietly sniffling until she regained her composure enough to look up at me.

"... C-Can I have another kiss?"

My smile grew in size as I leaned down to fuse our lips together once again.

After that, I made my way out of the kitchen and into the living room where most of the group was still watching TV. However, my mind wasn't focusing on the news station that continued to play in the background as they talked amongst one another.

It was on Saeko, who had gone back to making all of us some food.

The promise that I made to her before Rei and I had entered a relationship.

It was around the time that I had finally noticed just how obviously attracted we were to each other, more specifically her interest in me, which was something that I had been very happy about. The reason for that was because Saeko had always been one of the ones at the top of my list for women I wanted to claim for myself.

Eventually, we had a talk about it. Saeko began first as a matter of fact, bravely admitting her feelings and describing how well I've always treated her since the very beginning. However, it took a turn when she backtracked and told me about how she felt undeserving of my love, which was due to a traumatic incident that occurred long before we ever had our first meeting under the crying sky.

It was also where she constantly apologized for leading me on for so long without ever saying anything about it, too afraid that she would upset me and lose one of her only friends. Obviously aware of what she meant by this, it had clearly taken a long time just for her to build up the courage for this talk, and I wasn't about to make it any worse.

In all honesty, Saeko was a wonderful person. The purple haired girl was caring, supportive, and a shit ton of other good traits to have. Even if the opportunity to further our close friendship into something more intimate was gone, I wouldn't be all that torn up about it because just having her as a friend would be nice too.

However, I wasn't going to let that happen.

Within my mind, I had already set it in stone myself that the two of us would be together, and nothing was going to stop that... not even another woman.

If anyone had a problem with it and decided to leave for that reason, I couldn't care less.

Right as she began to walk away after saying her peace, I made a firm promise with confidence in my voice. Saeko's body had stiffened for just a moment before her pace quickened, tears in her eyes at our departure.

The promise was that, in time, she would become my woman and there was nothing that could stop it from happening. Ever since then, I had clung to that promise while looking forward to the day that it occurred.

Unknowingly, Saeko had done the same.

Before I had left the kitchen after giving her another kiss on the lips, Saeko told me that she needed a bit more time until anything could happen between the two of us. I didn't question it, instead simply nodding in acceptance. It obviously had something to do with the fact that she still probably felt undeserving of my love for whatever reason.

... I'm going to make sure that I prove to her just how much she deserves it when I get the purple haired sword user in my bed.

Eventually, the food had been served and we quickly devoured our meals before deciding to hit the hay. Before we even got to Rika's house, I had already laid claim to the master bedroom, and there wasn't much fuss about it aside from Rei cutting in that she wanted to sleep there too.

With a shrug of my shoulders, I had told her to join me if it was that serious, and the cute brunette nodded in acceptance at the invitation.

It would explain the current situation, which was that Rei and I were laying in the same bed as the rest of the house had gone silent, obviously due to the other sleeping residents no longer up and running around.

Everything would've been all fine and dandy if it wasn't for the fact that Rei had made sure to get as close as possible, which meant pushing back against me until her white panty-clad ass was rubbing up against the walking cane in my basketball shorts.
