You Have Been Deemed Unworthy

A chaotic mixture of shock and anger filled my entire being at the sight of the man in front of me.0

My eyes narrowed in concentration as I seriously thought about what to do with this man. However, I couldn't wait too long or else he could drive far enough to where a patrol group might see him.

Hmm...

This man has done practically nothing to deserve Yuriko's love. He has neglected the woman for the entire time that I've even had knowledge of his existence.

Not even the amount of money that Sōichirō has is a big deal considering that Yuriko has always possessed her own business ventures that constantly provided the woman with enough money to buy her own mansion if she so desired. She was going to be rich even without him in the picture.

In other words, Sōichirō really hasn't achieved anything in his already broken relationship with Yuriko, who had also moved onto another man.

Yeah. I'm going to kill this bastard. He's already been gone for so long and now he intends to return all of a sudden, along with a random zombie as well? No one is going to miss you, old man.

I'm the man of the house now... and I deem you unworthy of even stepping a foot into my home.

Quickly activating the hidden ring, I opened a small rift and pulled out my Kukri, along with a black lower half mask to conceal my identity just in case a patrol group did somehow notice what was about to happen.

The muscles in my legs tensed for just a moment before I leaped from off of the large tree branch that I was hidden on top of. Soaring through the air, my body was launched towards the black truck moving below me, and my grip tightened around the Kukri I was holding in my hand.

I made sure to land on top of the black truck in a way that greatly lessened the impact, which was suppressed even further as the zombie contained in the back noticed my presence and began making gargled sounds of aggression at a loud volume.

Luckily, Sōichirō didn't seem to categorize it as important. It would allow for me to introduce myself with a bit of surprise to my advantage. The black truck was a two door vehicle that had the windows down and there was no one else with the man, which brought on a perfect opportunity.

However, I didn't plan on our little reunion lasting for very long. I wasn't really all that excited to meet the man anyways.

I maneuvered myself to swing through the right side window, Kukri hidden behind the rest of my body in Sōichirō's point of view, and my eyes glinted with a grim satisfaction as I witnessed his shocked facial expression at my unexpected appearance.

"You're not welcome here." I stated in a completely serious tone of voice, revealing the Kukri tightly gripped within my right hand.

The older man sneered at me with rage in his orange eyes, attempting to reach for the pistol that was laying just a few inches away. "You disgraceful vermin! I do not know who you are, nor do I care, but you will die today for even daring to threaten my life!" He yelled in outrage, seemingly not realizing that he was at a severe disadvantage.

I didn't think that he was this stupid...

Just as he was about to grab ahold of the pistol, most likely intending on blowing my brains out, I lunged forward with the Kukri at a speed that he couldn't react to sufficiently enough in order to somehow save his own pathetic life.

The Kukri blade pierced through the side of Sōichirō's neck like melted cheese, effortlessly going through his flesh as I grabbed the steering wheel with my left hand, quickly releasing my hold on the weapon as I focused on bringing the vehicle to a stopping point instead.

Sōichirō was left gargling on his own blood as he quickly died from the fatal stab wound, resulting in the man slouching forward in the driver seat like a zombie as his eyes lost the life behind them.

An idea quickly forming in my head, I decided to activate the hidden ring and open a rift big enough to fit the black truck through. Once I drove into it, the rift closed behind me, and I effectively got rid of all the evidence that could've been picked up on.

Creating a big enough platform for the black truck to appear, it eventually slowed to a stop, and I got out after extracting the Kukri from Sōichirō's very bloody neck wound.

With just a few thoughts, the blood on my Kukri blade disappeared, along with the body of Sōichirō which was completely vaporized, and the zombie that was still contained in the back was teleported to an undisclosed area within the vast dimension for future examination.

Breathing out a sigh, I couldn't help but smile as I thought about Yuriko. In all honesty, if I had told her what just happened, she probably wouldn't have cared all that much. However, I still wasn't going to tell her.

There was no reason for it.

Sōichirō was practically never around, instead always blaming it on business trips that no doubt included him cheating on Yuriko, and he stayed overseas for so long. The older man didn't even treat other people well most of the time, at least during the times that I laid witness to it, which included the security around the Takagi Estate.

However, I was nearly the complete opposite, simply because of the fact that they deserved it. While they might've been paid quite a bit of money for their jobs, they also protected Yuriko and Saya with their lives, and I made sure to occasionally thank them for the valuable roles each of them played. It was the least that I could do.

Due to that, everyone pretty much saw me as the new man of the house anyways, especially because of the way that I made sure to take care of Yuriko and Saya. While I could be manipulative or lie because of the many secrets that I preferred keeping to myself, I did actually care for the people in my life. It's just that I'm willing to go to great lengths in order to keep certain things under wraps for the sake of my own privacy.

Ah, now I feel like I'm rambling to myself.

Shaking myself out of those thoughts, my smile grew in size once I looked at the black truck in front of me. It seems that I now had a new vehicle as well.

Opening a human-sized rift, I walked out of my dimension and began heading back towards the Takagi Estate at a relaxed walking pace.

That was so nice of Sōichirō to do for me.
