A Dangerous Combination

"Halt!" One of the armed guards stationed at the front entrance gate yelled, holding up a hand while the other was carrying a fully-loaded rifle. Even though there was a strap around his neck that pretty much held it up for him, the grizzled man's palm never left the handle grip.

The man's name was Daichi Tanaka. Before the outbreak, he had been enjoying his retirement from the military, but it was unfortunately interrupted by the shocking arrival of cannibalistic monsters that seemed to possess an endless appetite for human flesh, indiscriminate of gender, race, or age. It didn't matter what you were as long as your heart was beating, and sometimes even that wasn't required, which left him with a bitter taste in his mouth at the gruesome thought of it.

His residence had been overrun by the undead shortly after it began quickly spreading throughout the neighborhood he lived in, and he just barely got out alive, but luckily made it to the Takagi Estate after running for what seemed like hours on end.

Fortunately, the man was somewhat familiar with the very wealthy family, and it eventually resulted in him making the decision to get back into the action once more. While he may have been one of the older ones, everybody still welcomed him into his new occupation, all of the others happy at having a new member.

It felt good.

Plus, the more the merrier when it came to this kind of job. There was no telling when those flesh-eating monsters would decide on working together in an attempt to kill everyone inside by charging the walls.

Stepping forward with his rifle at the ready, the older man threw a quick glance inside of the vehicle, not finding anything to be concerned about. However, that still didn't calm his nerves enough to discard the constant vigilance he needed to keep up in these dark times.

Behind him, there was another man that held tightly onto a clipboard, which was used for the sole purpose of keeping track on who went in and out of the Takagi Estate.

They had decided to do a two person team for this, one who wrote down the names of whoever wanted to go in or out, and another who carried a firearm in case something went down and needed a quick reaction. However, just in case, the holder of the clipboard would still carry a handgun for their own protection.

Plus, it wasn't like they were the only two out there. There was a bunch of armed guards stationed at the gate entrance 24/7, switching out members during night and day in order for them to get some rest and not exhaust themselves.

There was a purple haired woman sitting in the driver seat of a black SUV, a pair of sunglasses concealing the red of her eyes, and she wore a black combat suit that clung to her athletic figure.

"Rika Minami."

~Dante's POV~

"KYAA!"

I covered my ears as Shizuka screamed in delight, excitedly jumping up and down as the blonde haired woman finally spotted her best friend. Rika Minami.

A black SUV, the one that our group had originally escaped Fujimi Academy in and eventually discarded at Rika's home, stopped a few feet away from all of us. Shizuka had told the group that her best friend was going to be here soon and we had all decided to wait for her today.

Personally, I was interested on meeting her.

Also, Shizuka just wouldn't shut up about the woman yesterday.

"So, that's her..." Rei muttered, curiosity in her tone as she scanned the woman over. Turning my head in the same direction, I decided to do the same as the cute brunette.

Damn... she's pretty hot.

It was an attractive black woman, red eyes that seemed to glow even brighter under the sun, and long purple hair like Saeko's that was tied up into a ponytail so as to not get in the way. I remember when Shizuka told us that Rika was apparently one of the top five snipers in the world, which was some really shocking information.

That was a dangerous combination.

I would've never thought that two polar opposites like them were such close friends.

However, I definitely wasn't complaining. I could just tell that this woman had a nice ass body under that tight black suit she was wearing. A hint of a white tank top was peeking out as well, which just so happened to reveal a decent amount of cleavage.

As the woman got closer, I made sure to keep control of where my eyes wandered this time around... for the most part, at least.

"RIKAAA! I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU!" Shizuka leaped into her best friend's arms, the dark skinned woman laughing along as she reciprocated the energetic greeting.

It was quite the sight as Shizuka's massive breasts pushed into Rika's, which created a very entertaining show for everyone involved. Even some of the people walking around the Takagi Estate were attracted to the noise and a few men got slapped for not being able to peel their eyes away.

"Alright, alright... calm down! You're going to suffocate me with those airbags of yours, Shizuka. I miss you too." Rika sighed in exasperation, although there was still an amused smirk etched into her face.

I couldn't blame her. I'm sure even Rika had a limit to what she was able to handle from Shizuka, who can get a little carried away with her actions.

Turning to face all of us, who were just standing by and watching their reunion in amusement, Rika motioned towards her friend in curiosity. "So, is this your group?"

The blonde haired woman nodded her head excitedly, which is when the introductions began.

Eventually, I was the last one left.

"Hey, my name's Dante. Shizuka has told me a lot about you." Outstretching my arm for a handshake, Rika quickly reciprocated the action with a friendly smile as she gave a reply. "Only good things, I hope."

I nodded my head in confirmation. "One of the best sniper's in the country, eh?"

Giving me a confident smirk, Rika motioned towards the black SUV behind her, which obviously meant that the woman had brought some weaponry of her own along with her. "Yup. Maybe I can show you a thing or two sometime if you're up for it."

There was a suggestive wink at the end of that.

Letting out an amused chuckle, I shrugged my shoulders in reply at the teasing woman. "Sure. It's always good to learn something new every once in a while."

Before long, we all went back into the mansion in order to talk for a bit longer. Yuriko eventually found us and got Rika a room as well.

However, once all of that was over with, Yuriko had pulled me to the side for a minute in order to discuss something important.

A mission.
