The Manor's Library
Once dinner was over, I had gone back to my room in somewhat of a better mood.2
Deciding to look through the magic spell book once more, even though I knew that it wasn't possible for me to use any of them in my current state, I plopped down onto the bed with it in my hands.
(For reference.)
It had begun to rain outside and the sound of water gently tapping against the window made for a relaxing atmosphere, my focus attached to the pages held within the book in front of me. There was quite a long list of them all.
The ranked difficulty went from beginner, intermediate, and then to advanced. However, I could've sworn that there was an even higher level of magic spells...
That fact didn't bother me much anymore. If I wanted to get any better at these somehow, I needed to start slow at first and find a way to make it work anyways. There was no point in trying to do some of the hardest moves straight off the bat when I still wasn't even able to properly execute the easiest one.
Eventually, I decided that enough was enough, and put the book away in order to go to sleep. Right before I drifted off however, a random thought entered my mind.
'Perhaps I could sneak into the manor's library while mother goes out tomorrow. She's usually gone for at least a couple of hours...'
It was worth a try, I suppose.
--------------------------------------------------
Quietly exiting my bedroom with a suppressed yawn, I walked down the hallway before turning the knob on a different door at the end, slipping through with relative ease as I spotted the curvy figure of my mother lying asleep in her bed.
Tossing the covers aside, I quickly noticed that she had gone to sleep wearing a lacy black and red nightgown, which was short enough to where it gave me a beautiful view of her thick thighs.
I bet she could easily crush a watermelon in between them... or my head.
Her figure somewhat reminded me of Jada, who possessed a toned body that had also been blessed with large assets in both regions.
In conclusion, there was no denying that Helena was sexy as hell.
"It's about time you woke up, mom. I can already smell Norvella cooking breakfast..." Placing a kiss on the back of her neck, I was just about to get up from my hunched over position, and that's when Helena suddenly pulled me back into the large comfy bed after quickly turning on her back.
She appeared to be awake now. That was oddly convenient.
"Mmm... five more minutes, honey."
The vampire woman's large breasts were nearly spilling out of the black and red nightgown as my face was pushed in between the both of them. I couldn't help but breathe in her powerful scent as she tightly embraced me.
'God, my mother smells so fucking good... it's damn near intoxicating!'
Thinking about it, could that be from one of her abilities as a vampire? Some kind of allure would make sense. However, she would have that either way just from how the woman naturally looks.
Even as she proceeded to force me into a cuddling session with her, which I wasn't complaining about, the woman looked like one of the most beautiful women that I have ever seen. There wasn't a smidge of makeup on her or anything.
Helena was just naturally born with beautiful physical features.
Surrendering myself to the current situation, I relented at her request. "Fine, fine. Just five more minutes and then we'll go downstairs for breakfast..." I breathed out a sigh as the feeling of mother's legs wrapping around my waist simply brought me even closer to her voluptuous body.
We quickly ended up falling asleep not long after that, which resulted in Norvella having to wake the both of us up for breakfast around fifteen minutes later, not surprised in the slightest at what she saw as if this hadn't been the first time.
...That also might've been due to the fact that it actually wasn't.
--------------------------------------------------
Standing outside of the manor, along with Norvella, the both of us waved goodbye to Helena as she began walking into the midst of the Malak Village. Before she left, I had gotten a good look at her wearing an absolutely stunning dress.
(For reference.)
Now, she wouldn't usually ever dress like that unless a certain occasion called for it, or if it was for me. Due to the fact that Helena was currently going off to do something business related, I was fairly certain that it had to do with some kind of merchant exchange. In other words, she was using her appearance to perhaps sweeten the deal of an item for a lower price.
The woman had a lot of connections within this world, and so she would sometimes be able to acquire something of value before it was ever produced in bulk. Honestly, I wasn't that knowledgeable of what she did, but I knew that Helena had supposedly been able to gain quite a bit of prestige from back in the day from when she used to be an adventurer.
Yeah, that kind of information was surprising to hear, especially when mother had always been so sweet and kind to me. It was sort of difficult to imagine her as some type of warrior...
Due to that obscure reputation, she had also accumulated quite a lot of money, which is why I had always slept in a manor unlike everyone else in this village.
That brought up another thing.
...She was the region lord of this area.
I live in an area called the Malak Village. It had ten meter walls surrounding the entire place while the manor was located around the bottom left section. Also, the village only covered about a fourth of the land that was given to Helena, and the rest of it had supposedly been left for something else.
(For reference.)
A couple of years ago, she had given me a brief explanation about the decently-sized piece of land, as well as hinted at the fact that all of it would be mine one day. That's why I thought she left most of it blank, due to the fact that Helena was leaving it for me to do with as I wish in the future.
The woman had always felt the need to spoil me in damn near every aspect of life if it was possible, and now Helena was just going to hand all of this over to me at some point. Honestly, it just brought up even more questions, like...
How strong is Helena?
Back in the day, was she even stronger? If so, how much more powerful was the woman that gave birth to me?
What did she do back then that got her so much love and respect from others?
Considering he was never there, who was the man that impregnated Helena, and then just decided to never be present within their son's life?
While so many of these kinds of thoughts ran rampant within my mind, there was one that stuck out the most compared to the rest of them.
...Aside from mother, why haven't I ever seen another vampire like myself?
--------------------------------------------------
Norvella had gone off to do some housework.
Sticking to the right side of the hallway, I quietly stepped over to a large doorway entrance, and it was the one that lead into the library. My body was filled with a slight feeling of anxiousness, which was due to the fact that I had never been allowed to go into this room, and I couldn't help but let my mind run wild with different ideas to what sort of books were held inside.
When I tried to turn the knob on both doors, they didn't budge much, which quickly let me know that the simple approach wouldn't be working anytime soon. At least, that's what I had thought.
As I was trying to think of an alternative that wouldn't bring attention to myself in the process, I tried to take my hand away from the knob, but the appendage had somehow gotten stuck to it without any possible explanation.
The Vizac family crest was placed on many things within the manor, which included the two doors in front of me, and they suddenly gained a red glow to them. However, my eyes widened as what seemed to be red veins grew out of each individual emblem before quickly extending down towards my immobile hand.
(For reference.)
Once the red veins had latched onto me, I watched as they hungrily took some of my precious blood, and it was disturbing to witness as I was also feeling a mixture of emotions during that short instance.
After going through that strange procedure, they receded back to wherever they came from, and that's when the two doors silently began to open without another word.
...I was filled with quite a bit of confusion, to say the least.
Walking inside of the library with a sense of reluctance, I took a cautious glance around the fairly small room, and keenly noticed just how many books were placed on shelves. Assuming that most libraries were much larger and filled to the brim with knowledgeable subjects of literature, this one was quite inferior.
However, this manor's library most likely held certain information that no one else possessed, which was due to the fact that the vampire race appeared to be damn near extinct.
Looking back at the entrance, the two doors had silently closed behind me.
I took a deep breath, taking one more glance at my surroundings before I just decided to choose a random shelf in order to get started.
