Until Next Time

Stifling a yawn, I placed a kiss on the two girls that were quietly sleeping in front of me, both of them tuckered out from our nightly activities. I whispered my goodbyes, quickly dressing myself before sneaking back out of the window.2

The peaceful village was bathed in a golden light, displaying it's beauty to the world as people were just beginning to wake up for the day.

Leaping through the air, I morphed into a bat once again, flying off in the direction of the manor.

If I got there fast enough, I might even be able to clean myself up a bit. There was a lingering smell of sex all across my body at the moment, which I had a feeling that both Norvella and my mother would pick up on unless it was removed.

After cleansing myself of the sins that had been committed just a couple hours ago, I stepped out into the hallway and went down a flight of stairs, coincidentally almost bumping shoulders with Norvella, who no doubt had the intention of waking me up with her most-preferred method.

"Oh! It's a surprise that you've already awoken so early, young master. I was hoping to-" Quickly placing a finger against the woman's pouty lips before she was able to finish her sentence, I hoped to avoid the slim chance that someone might've possibly overheard what she had been going to say, which is a peculiar situation that I would rather not have to deal with in the slightest.

Gently pulling my finger away, she decided to express her unspoken desire in a different form. I pulled the woman close to my body as our tongues intertwined, a noticeable trail of saliva left in it's wake as the two of us ended the intimate exchange a few seconds later.

Unfortunately for the white haired servant, I had a meeting with Helena that required my presence, and she was also aware of that fact. There was a slight reluctance to her actions, an unwillingness to release the tight grasp she had on me.

With a mixture of apprehension, dread, and sadness, Norvella gave me one more kiss before lovingly caressing my face. The woman's pretty blue eyes were full of devotion as she stated, "...I'm going to miss you." in a near-whisper.

I could actually hear the raw emotion behind Norvella's shaky voice as it became increasingly difficult for her to hold back tears.

Witnessing the sight in front of me, I grabbed the woman before taking her up towards my bedroom. Even I had begun to feel emotional as she displayed a side of herself that was rarely ever seen, which made me feel an overwhelming sense of obligation to fulfill her last request before I left Malak village.

Not regretting a single thing, I locked the door behind the two of us as we proceeded to make passionate love to one another.

"I understand. There's no need to go into detail, honey..."

A lighthearted giggle rang throughout the quiet space as my mother sat in front of me, the two of us gathered into an empty chamber within the manor, which was being put to use as our current meeting room. With a faint smile on her face, she waved away the requirement to give an explanation for my late arrival, casually switching the topic of discussion with a dismissive tone.

There was a near-instant switch in her demeanor as the woman stated, "The capital of the Asura Kingdom, Ars, I'm sure you've heard of it. Correct?" With a nod, I couldn't help but give a slight tilt of my head in confusion. "Of course! It's the largest city in the world, after all."

She hummed in confirmation, taking a sip from the cup of tea at her side before speaking once again. "It's also where the Water God currently resides."

That definitely caught my attention. Helena had been insistent on ingraining certain people into my mind as part of training, which I didn't really understand, but I just figured that it was to be aware of high-ranking or very powerful individuals that I could possibly meet in the future. Since my mother had allowed me to become an adventurer like I wanted, the reasoning behind that choice already explained to me, the woman had also provided an overwhelming amount of information during the time of my training in the hopes of preparing me just a little more for the outside world.

Compared to the version of myself just a few months ago, I was a lot more knowledgeable about this... six-faced world. Not only that, but I felt a strong disgust towards many nobles for just how vile they actually were behind closed doors.

"I've met her a couple times throughout my life. While the woman could be... a bit snarky in her attitude, she was always pretty easy to get along with, back then at least. Not to mention, her appearance will no doubt catch your eye, so I am fairly certain that you will know who I'm talking about once you lay your eyes on her." Helena smirked at me, which I didn't really know how to feel about. I honestly wasn't sure how to interpret that sort of vague remark, especially when it came from my mother.

Finally speaking up, I voiced a question of my own. "What if I don't recognize her? I doubt that she would know who I am."

Shaking her head in a dismissive manner, the woman seemed very uncaring to the possibility of that happening. I became aware of the reasoning behind that just a few seconds later. "I truly doubt that something like that is going to happen, which is due to the fact that there were a few letters I decided to send out towards certain people I've met in the past, and the Water God had been one of them. There is no need to worry over it either. Their only purpose was to hopefully give you a few helping hands along the way in your journey. After all, I want nothing more than to see you succeed, my little prince."

I couldn't help but smile at that wholesome proclamation, a feeling of warmth spreading throughout my body as our red-slit eyes silently expressed an extreme amount of love for one another. "...Thank you."

After speaking with the woman for a while longer about things concerning my leave, we inevitably reached near the end of our discussion.

"There's one last thing..." Helena said after taking a sip from her cup of tea, gently setting it aside once she was done.

"You're going to have a long road ahead of you, my son." Helena sighed, pressing my face deep into her bosom. "Get stronger... However, I would prefer if you came back home in one piece, so make sure to be careful along the way."

A few seconds later, the woman released her hold before pulling out a small notebook from the robes that she wore, passing it over to me with a smile on her face. "You already know what this is, which means there is no need for me to explain it to you again." There was a short pause as the black haired beauty stared at me with a peculiar light in her red-slit eyes.

"...I love you, Dante, more than you will ever truly realize." She murmured, a single tear rolling down her face before she quickly wiped it away. "There isn't a single thing more important than you that exists in this entire world."

Hearing those words spoken in such a genuine tone, I nearly felt myself become emotional during our last interaction for a while. When I noticed that my vision was slightly blurred, I ran straight back into my mother's warm embrace, clenching my eyes shut in order to reinforce the dam that was about to break.

All to eager to receive yet another hug from her precious son, Helena wrapped her arms around me like a vice grip, lovingly whispering sweet nothings into my ear the whole time.

It would've appeared to be a very emotional goodbye to anyone watching, and while Norvella still considered it to be just that, she also thought that it was a beautiful sight to behold.

Standing off to the side, the white haired maid had a sad smile on her face as it all went down, patiently awaiting her turn to bid the young master farewell on his ambitious quest to become one of the seven great world powers.
