Chapter 26: All Of Them

"Waaahh~ I want candy apples!"1

"Oh, oh! Chocolate dipped bananas too!"

"Wow cotton candies!"

"Lillie-chan, let's buy some masks!"

Lillie let Haruka drag her around the crowded place, her hands full of sweets.

This girl was born and lived in Japan all her life and still she looks like it's her first time in a festival. Shouldn't Lillie and Ethan be the one who's excited?

Ethan followed behind them while holding a box of steaming takoyakis [1]. Lillie bought them before Haruka pulled her to different vendors. She let Ethan hold them for a while.

People couldn't help admire them. Those three are out of this world gorgeous, especially Lillie and Ethan, they looked like deities who've come to the mortal world to have fun.

Finally stopping in front of the masks vendor, Haruka bought three. She gave the fox mask to Lillie, the oni [2] to Ethan, while Haruka had the hannya [3].

Haruka picked the hannya mask on purpose because it described how she feels right now.

Just you wait, Lillie-chan, I'll find myself a man soon!

Ethan putted down the box at the side and helped Lillie put on her fox mask.

'Click!'

Someone secretly took a picture of this intimate looking couple.

"It suits you."

"Thank you." Lillie shortly replied. Ethan gave the box of takoyaki back to her so she can finally enjoy them.

"Let's go find a good spot, the fireworks will show up soon." Haruka clapped her hands and pulled her once again.

Ethan sighed, he wanted to spend his time with Lillie alone. Even though he's grateful to Haruka for inviting him, he still cannot stand her 'stealing' his wife from him.

"This place looks good." Haruka said and leaned herself on the cherry tree. Sadly, the cherry trees already bloomed on May.

Ethan removed his haori [4] and placed it on the patch of grass so that Lillie's yukata won't get dirty.

Nodding in appreciation, Lillie elegantly sat down. Ethan casually sat next to her, closely.

Haruka pouted as she watched how sweet Ethan is to Lillie. Now she regret inviting him. If only she invited another friend so that she won't be the third wheel.

"I forgot to buy some drinks. What do you two want?" She asked.

"Warm green tea."

"Coffee."

For being cold persons, they sure do love warm things.

"Roger that! Wait for me okay? And no funny business!" Haruka will be the 'father' in Mr Bai's stead and sternly reminded the two, especially Ethan.

'No promises.' Ethan thought.

Finally the third wheel is out of the picture. He can now have his wife to himself, even if it's just for awhile.

Lillie's eyes were closed as she intake the fresh and cool breeze. She felt quite tired and sleepy. Ethan noticed how Lillie's body would sway before standing back up then sway again.

His face soften and looked at her in doting eyes. He placed his hand on her shoulder and gently pulled her towards him and lay her on his lap.

Lillie felt really comfortable and warm, she was half conscious when she was sitting but when Ethan lay her on his lap, she immediately dozed off.

Lillie can sleep anywhere without a problem.

Ethan's heart went crazy like it wanted to jump out of his body. His ears were red in embarrassment. This 'kitten' looks extremely cute and innocent when sleeping, unlike when she's always baring her claws at people when awake.

'Click click click!'

'Bzz bzz'

Ethan's phone vibrated. Unlocking his phone he saw tons of pictures sent to him.

[Sir, here are the photos you wanted. Should I take more?]
