"Lillie, are you inside? What's taking you so long?" Ethan's worried voice sounded through the door. Lillie's been gone for quite a while. Even though he knew that she's very strong and wouldn't even flick a wrist to take down a grown man, he still couldn't help but worry. 1

"I'm fine."

Ethan sighed in relief by her reassuring voice but, he felt something wasn't right. He can feel presence inside, an estimation of seven people or women—since it's the women's lavatory.

"What took you so long? The food already arrived." He said, backing away when the door opened. The figure he expected to he his wife was instead, Ping Xiao Yue.

"Cousin brother!" Ping Xiao Yue beamed as she addressed him.

Ethan's eyes narrowed. The incident back then was still fresh in his mind. Though, he can see the changes in this cousin of his. His sharp eyes wouldn't fail to notice these changes. Nonetheless, he's still suspicious of her actions.

If Lillie was with her, surely something happened.

"Where's Lillie?" He demanded.

Ethan saw how Ping Xiao Yue's expression turned downcast but quickly disappeared as soon as it appeared. As an actress—former actress—Ping Xiao Yue is a master in changing her expressions quickly.

"Here." Ethan's neck automatically rotated to the voice he's searching.

Lillie's face was cold and dark that even he shivers in fright. He strode towards her and pulled both her hands, caressing them to calm her down.

And as if it was magic, the menacing aura oozing from her dispersed. Her expression soften as she stare at his warm eyes that was full of admiration, love and care that she'll never get tired of.

"What happened? Did someone bullied you?" Ethan softly asked in concern.

Without shame, Lillie nodded her head. If Ping Xiao Yue was sipping a drink, she'll probably spurt it out and choke.

But in this case, she had a fit of cough.

Now it's Ethan's face to turn dark.

Bullying my wife? Whoever it was must've eaten tiger's gut! Courting death, ah!

Ethan pulled his pitiful wife in his embrace and glared at the women coming out of the lavatory. Ethan recognized two of them but the three skimpy dressed women with an arrogant air surrounding them?

Oh hoh~? Their leader is certainly the one with the dyed air and tight red dress that seemed as if the tailor ran out of cloth for it.

Di Li Rong's gaze landed on Ethan's figure hugging Lillie protectively. Her hands clenched tightly until they turned white.

What's so special about Lillie Bai anyway?

If it's money, she have it. If it's beauty, she can have that arranged. What does she lack? Why was Ethan Li so smitten with this vixen?!

"Ethan~" Without thinking, Di Li Rong send her a flirtatious look and purred his name, hoping to catch this big fish's attention.

However, Di Li Rong's plan already failed just by one glance. It wouldn't take a scholar to put things together.

"Who are you to call me with such familiarity." He bluntly ridiculed without batting an eye. He wasn't even asking, he was demanding.

Di Li Rong abruptly stopped. Ethan's ruthless tone has reached her clearly and this made her furious.
