Lillie sighed in resign. She wasn't sure if she should admire Yang Nina's resolve or shake her head in disapproval.

There are limits to stubbornness, especially if it affects your well-being. She could've just waited it out for a few days—not that she would've known that she and Ethan might already be gone by then.

At least, Han Taiyi and Chu Lizheng would still be.

"Let me guess, you're about to head towards Gentle Tempest Courtyard when you find out that the Sun Students' classes were in session?"

That surprised reaction answered it.

Executing her role as the adult and her senior, Lillie softly lectured her like a mother to her wayward child.

In the end, Yang Nina relented and agreed to go back to the clinic and rest. Lillie logically pointed out that she'll recover faster, and that way, she could have all the energy to run around the Academy by then.

Thanks to her injury, the Academy gave her a week to recover before she could start her classes. Usually, enrollees would be given at least three days break in compensation for exerting themselves in the final exam.

Lillie offered to piggyback her, but Yang Nina held her ground, saying she still have the strength to walk—limp.

Equally stubborn—maybe even more—Lillie flashed in front of her like a wraith appearing out of nowhere.

Yang Nina realized late that her feet were dangling in the air and that she was now being carried up to several flight of stairs.

The clinic was in fourth floor, and they were at the ground floor when they stumble upon each other. Lillie have to climb the stairs again just to bring her all the way back.

"Sister Shengming! This...this is too much." Yang Nina wanted to struggle, but she reminded herself that Lillie was currently balancing her weight on her back as she climbs up the stairs.

Well...that would be called an underestimation of Lillie's capabilities.

She's not a Grand Disciple and one of the Underworld Leaders if she can't even carry a teenage girl, who weighs not even a fraction of what she used to carry back in her training days, to a few flight of stairs.

Not only were they the group who saved her, she's now being carried by one of her benefactors! This is the second time she was being treated well by one of them.

Not that she's complaining.

What luck did she struck in her past life to deserve such treatment?

Was she really inside a novel?! Was she the heroine? Maybe a love interest? A friend of the heroine? Is Grand Disciple Life the heroine?

Well, she does seem to possess the traits of a female lead. An average beauty, a great personality, saint-like kindness, and the OP-ness.

Last one she's not sure about; does she have a harem of pretty boys? Girls too, perhaps?

If Lillie ever heard this absurd internal musing, she really would say that this girl has read too many novels of that particular type.

She would've also scoff.

People wouldn't have called her the She-Devil if she was kind. And a harem?

She only love one man, romantically, and thus, she only need one husband.

"Forgive me for imposing, Nina," Five stairway away, and they'll be on the fourth floor's ground. Lillie's curiosity got the best of her. "But I couldn't help but wonder how you end up in that situation we found you in."
