1Hao Xuan could feel their blind killing intent crashing against the borders of his conscious mind. Hundreds upon hundreds of creatures all wanting to rip him to pieces created illusions in the back of his mind where he could see himself being killed in various brutal ways over and over again.

His already weakened state caused by the movement through the webway was further pushed to the extreme by the intense killing intent.

Hao Xuan gritted his teeth trying to keep the illusions at bay.

"What? No hiding this time? Not gonna watch from the shadows to make sure I'm not a threat?" he asked jokingly even though the answer was already pretty obvious. He wasn't enough of a threat to warrant such a cautious approach.

"Well...come on then! What are you waiting for?"

Hao Xuan waved his hand to call out the glaive. It materialized within his palm humming madly in jubilation, elated just by being by his side regardless of the situation.

Its vibrating metal body and the humming noise produced because of it worked against the waves of killing intent trying to burrow in Hao Xuan's psyche and the illusions slowly stopped but the creatures watching from the shadows still didn't make a move.

They watched on with faces of stones, completely expressionless. It was at this point that Hao Xuan followed their line of sight and realized they weren't looking at him but behind him.

Chaos Qi thrummed within his body, opening previously closed-off passageways and even leaking to the outside of his body to create a sticky external layer.

Hao Xuan slowly turned his head, unable to feel any actual presence other than a tingling sensation on the back of his head. And as he did so, the severs he was trying to summon could not be reached anymore.

It felt like he was trying to bash his head against a glass window in an attempt to break it open. This was because he had used up too much spiritual and mental energy. Summoning any sever before regaining some energy could permanently damage his soul.

Gently and apprehensively, Hao Xuan looked behind him. The first thing he saw was his own face staring back at him, only 4 times as big.

His pupils constricted when he realized it was a warped reflection. Then his eyes moved a little further down and to the sides of the reflective surface. Pale white limbs, almost a dozen of them lined the sides, holding onto a layer of white skin, ripping it open to reveal the red flesh underneath.

"What the fuck are you?" Hao Xuan accidentally spoke out loud seeing its freakish design.

And as he did so, the red flesh started squirming, almost as if it was woken up by the sound of his voice.

Two extremely long legs that were previously hidden behind the main body slowly came forward and dragged the rest of it up into the air. Hao Xuan's head followed the black orb that had replaced its neck and head.

When it finally stopped and stood up straight, it had become more than 9 meters tall. Ribbons of thick muscles outlined its legs and each of the ten hands that were holding the abdomen open. Each hand had three digits that dug into its own body.

But the most peculiar thing about it was the black orb that had replaced its head. It was still carrying a perfect reflection of Hao Xuan's face even though that should not be possible at that distance. (Reference Image in authors notes and discord).

And then without any warning one of its arms suddenly shot out like a torpedo. It was well over 10 meters away and judging from the length of its arms it shouldn't even have come close but Hao Xuan didn't have the opportunity of considering why or how that was so because the next moment it was mere inches away from him.

Still, he reacted just in time to move the glaive in front of him to block what looked like a simple punch.

*BOOM*

His body broke the sound barrier as it shot out with much the same force that was accurately transferred over to his previously stationary body. The world warped around him as Hao Xuan went through one building after another.

He only came to a stop after going through four structures, leaving giant holes in each one.

"Bluurgh"

Hao Xuan keeled over right then and there, throwing up a mouthful of hot blood that froze right after hiding the ground. His body ached, his bones creaked.

One single punch without any special ability to power it was enough to almost break Hao Xuan in half.

He tried to speak but only threw up more blood. His eyes turned a shade of red as he realized that that creature was probably somewhere near the top of the Profound Realm, if not higher.

Even the glaive moaned upon feeling Hao Xuan's pain. If he wasn't already before, now he was nothing but a wreck.

"AAAH! You *cough* son of a *Cough*..."

He couldn't even finish the sentence because the ten-armed creature had vanished from its spot.

Hao Xuan looked left and right and soon found it standing outside of his building through some of the windows. Once again he wasn't even able to see how it moved. This was the difference in realms.

"I'm...no match...huh?"

Even if he was at full power there was no way he would be able to win against that thing. But instead of falling into despair, he started laughing.

"Hehehe, it's a good thing I'm alone...this time. Because otherwise, I wouldn't be able to do THIS!"

Hao Xuan opened his right hand and slammed the middle of his chest.

"COME OUT, NIDHORA!"

*BOOOOOOM*

The building Hao Xuan was in exploded as soon as he said the words. The creature that was outside felt the disturbance beforehand and jumped back, landing more than half a kilometer away.

And when it looked back all it could see was a gargantuan shadow in the distance that was expanding with every passing second.

"Kill, EVERYTHING!" a voice ordered, and the shadow obeyed.
