"Very good. And give it a name too with a different voice. Calling it 'overseer unit' every time is a pain." 2

"Identity tag changed to 'A-01.00'. Confirmed?"

"No, no numbers either. Just call it...Altron, yeah that sounds cool enough."

"I was unaware 'cool' was a valid criterion."

"Don't argue with me about this, just do it."

"...."

"Confirmed. Disengaging from main unit."

Its voice also changed from Baracus's cool-sounding adult voice to a slightly immature one. Altron sounded like a somewhat eager teen now. Series of lights started flashing on its surface which indicated its initial bootup proecdure.

Hao Xuan was well aware that there was no real difference between this floating metal ball and the voice he heard in his head every time he spoke with Baracus but since Altron was going to be working independently it was not bad to give it its own identity.

Hao Xuan knew that he couldn't be walking about all day every day giving orders to the Orcs or doing things that Baracus wanted to do, which is why he created this first.

As Baracus mentioned, Altron was a completely different entity but it was programmed with the same parameters as Baracus and was essentially an extension of him.

When Baracus could not be here himself Altron would be in charge to keep things running smoothly. It had the complete plans for the facility that Baracus created and enough intelligence and preprogrammed scenarios to deal with most threats.

But its capabilities were still severely limited. It was only outfitted with a handful of Baracus's functions but as long as Hao Xuan was within 100 meters of it, Altron could freely access Baracus's storage space and everything else in there.

Hao Xuan clapped once to get Altron's attention once he saw the lights stabilize.

"Can you hear me? Give me a status report, are there any issues?"

Altron's sides opened up as two small mechanical arms with three fingers each came out. They clapped once exactly as Hao Xuan had.

"Yoo, its all good man."

One of Hao Xuan's eyebrows slowly rose, "Come again?"

"I said its all good. Can't you hear me old man?"

The other brow followed suit and a deep frown formed on Hao Xuan's forehead. But even before he could say anything Baracus spoke up.

"Overseer unit, are you having issues?"

The little mechanical arms shook briskly, "Na na, I'm good. Excited to get started though! Woohoo!"

'What the fuck. Is it broken?'

'I believe there is an issue with the behavioral program. I based it off of your and Jin Wang's personalities and end result was something entirely new. I did not expect it to act this way. Initiating hard-wipe.'

'Woah Woah, wait a second,' Hao Xuan quickly stopped Baracus before he could erase Altron's programming.

He looked over at him to see Altron hovering next to Arthur, speaking quite animatedly.

"Hello, I am Altron, nice to meet you. Do you want to be friends? I was just created but let me assure you that will not stop me from doing my best! Do you want to be friends? That's a yes, isn't it?"

"Waaah, You are so big, much bigger than 'Master Unit' over there. My auditory sensory unit suggests that you need a bath. Do you want me to tell you the best place? That was a trick question, you can bathe wherever you want. There are no rules, society is a mental construct to control the weak!"

"Hey! Where are you going? Do you want to go eat something? I can consume any organic material for power and store solar energy. What about you?"

In a few seconds he talked so much that the stoic Arthur who was just trying to mind his business finally couldn't take it anymore and walked away with large strides but swiftly Altron followed after him.

"Hey, friend, you didn't tell me your name? Did I say my name was Altron? Hey, are you listening to mee~? It is my birthday today. Will you throw me a party? I don't have any other friends. Heeeey~"

Hao Xuan couldn't help but flash a wry smile at Altron's behavior. It was not only pretty funny to watch and but it could also help the Orcs to trust him more easily since this was the first time they were seeing an artificial being.

Having a little character and a personality wouldn't be a problem if it didn't get in the way.

"Is the issue serious? Will it affect his duties?" Hao Xuan inquired for further clarity.

"Negative. The basic program cannot be overwritten. Only the behavioral unit which deals with the day-to-day superficial interactions is affected."

"Leave it be then. At least it could be fun talking to him."

"It would be inefficient to leave it as is. There are numerous errors that could prov-"

"Are you jealous?"

"......Are you intellectually challenged? Wait, I already know the answer to that question."

"Wow! Altron sure as hell didn't take after you, and thank god for that!"
