Ch 151 : The old geezers

As the voice came inside the room, everybody's attention was immediately attracted by it.1

It was pretty obvious that this would be none other than the Old Geezers from the elder Group.

To be honest, Sanada began to wonder whether these guys were actually from Cn novel, which one in a million chances got stranded in Naruto world.

To him, these elders were just weak old men who were not making any contributions to the village. They were the type who liked to mingle with every matter regarding Konoha and only made the matter become a lot more troublesome.

However, as a Konoha Shinobi, Sanada was still keeping a polite outside appearance. No matter how he felt about it, he couldn't just cuss them out of nowhere.

"Oh, isn't this the traitor of Konoha? To be this free to enter the Konoha Hokage's office, it seemed the relationship between you and Tsunade is indeed unusual."

Sanada didn't have time to stay silent as he heard those words.

He looked at the geezers and sighed, not understanding why some people just seemed to have some sort of a death wish. After traveling the whole day, he just wanted to get some good rest, so why are those geezers keeping troubling him?

Sanada stood up, and he greeted the elders "politely".

" Well, we meet again, Danzo-Sama, Koharu-sama and Homura-sama. It seemed the three of you still the same as before like to mingle with every affair in Konoha. Oh, by the way Danzo-sama, it is a pity, but you are very close. Maybe you could do better in the next Hokage's election."

Yup, very polite....

Excluding the words that he had said, Canada gave a smiling expression and posture that seemed to be very respectful to the elders.

Nonetheless, his words had made the atmosphere, which was already very tense before, become a lot tenser.

"Sanada, please at least has some basic courtesy! They are elders, and we must respect them. After all, we wouldn't really know until when would they be able to stay in this world." Tsunade tried to rebuke Sanada. But it was obvious that she just wanted to use this chance to mock the elders as she couldn't hide the smile on her face.

Of course, Sanada understood Tsunade's meaning. With a smile, he did not continue to argue with the geezers and sat down back in his seat.

It's worth mentioning that after Tsunade took the position of Hokage, she not long after abolished the elders' seats, and those guys are now only elderly with no real power nor identity behind them.

Tsunade clapped her hand, and immediately a few anbu appeared.

They brought chairs for the elders to sit, and now aside from Sanada, Tsunade and Sakura, there was the F4 sitting beside them in the Hokage office.

The two advisers were sitting in between Sarutobi and Danzo, while Sanad was sitting right next to Sarutobi, and on his other side were Sakura and Tsunade.

Sanada was at Sarutobi's side when he heard him say: "Sanada, I'm sorry. Although I don't want to have any conflicts in the village internal, I hope you can also understand our position. After all, we have placed our blood, sweat, and tears to protect this village."

"It's okay, Sandaime-sama. I'm not the kind that likes to provoke an internal conflict. However, if they kept trying to mess with me, then I would tell them that I'm not someone you should mess about?"

Hearing Sanada, Satutobi sighed and stopped pursuing the matters. Either way, he was already tired of this matter. He had tried to pursue his old comrade and told them that they could trust Sanada. Nonetheless, they were already blinded by greed and power.

Tsunade was looking at everyone at the table, and her expression slowly turned serious. She was no longer the little girl that would chat happily in front of Sanada but instead the fifth Hokage of Konoha.

The mood in the Hokage room was quite tense, and the 3rd stood up to summarize their situation: "Cough… Tsunade, we are here to-

"We are very happy that one of our strongest combat forces is finally back to Konoha. However, this doesn't mean that we could ignore the chance of him being a traitor." As soon as the 3rd began talking, Koharu interfered.

Right now, it is already all or nothing.

Since they agreed to come up with Danzo's proposal, then they should also use all the things they could do to attack Sanada.

"What Koharu just said is correct. Sanada, could you explain what are you doing in Sunagakure?" Homura Mitokado also asked.

"Homura, Koharu, it is just a small matter. Sanada did all of that to ensure the alliances between the two countries. There's no reason to make a fuss about that." The 3rd tried to alleviate the atmosphere a bit.

He tried to give his old friend the sign that Sanada had made his mind and should not be messed up with now, However, it seemed that his effort was futile.

Hearing the third try to help Sanada, Homura flew into a rage.

"Bullshit! Here is a record of all the acts you have done in Suna! Are you sure you don't have any relationship with that daughter of the Kazekage?"
