Of course, Jun hadn't missed anything. Through his Sharingan, he was able to detect Danzo's movements.

'This confirms it.' Narrowing his eyes, he slightly frowned. Danzo wanted to sabotage their clan, and thankfully, Masaki had also noticed it. Now, he just needed to wait for the perfect opportunity to show it to Hiruzen.

After all, if he just assassinated Danzo, it would be too easy and would lead to problems. Also, if he managed to incriminate him, that feeling of losing would be extremely painful to a man like Danzo.

As for that Mist ninja... Well, Jun had some plans for him.

As the audience struggled to recover from the gruesome scene, Shigeo cleared his throat and called out two more names. The exams had to continue, after all.

"Minato Namikaze vs. Fuguki Suikazan. Both contestants walk down to the arena!" Although he was frustrated with himself, Shigeo decided to bury his feelings for now and concentrate on the task at hand.

"Minato, be careful... Those mist ninja are dangerous." Showing a hint of worry on her face, Nozomi reminded her teammate. After all, both Kushimaru and Fuuki had demonstrated great ability so far.

"Yeah..." Determined, Minato started walking down to the arena. Before he could, though, Jun spoke to him in a mysterious tone.

"I'll be waiting for you in the finals."

"...!" Jun's words lit a fire in Minato. He felt like he had earned Jun's respect, making him clench his fists.

"I'll be there!"

Furrowing his brows, Minato stood a few meters away from Fuguki.

Taking out an enormous sword, the Kiri nin put on a stern expression, getting ready to kill his opponent. Both of them remained quiet, staring into each other's eyes.

"Begin!"

As soon as Shigeo spoke, Minato flickered behind Fuguki, slashing his kunai down.

"I was expecting you!" Showcasing his sharp teeth, Fuguki smiled and parried Minato's kunai with the sword in his hand.

Feeling Fuguki's raw power, Minato was unable to maintain the clash for too long, choosing to flip backward and draw some distance.

"Suiton: Suidan no Jutsu!" (Water Release: Water Bullet Technique!)

Stabbing his sword into the ground, Fuguki performed multiple hand-seals in quick succession, spitting out a powerful torrent of water aimed at Minato.

Seeing it coming, Minato flickered once again, reappearing on the large wall behind him. Eyeing his opponent, he quickly thought of ways to defeat him.

Fuguki's main strengths were his physical prowess, kenjutsu[1], and chakra reserves. If he wanted to take him down, Minato would have to get serious. 'Should I use it...?'

Narrowing his eyes, Fuguki picked his sword back up. Minato was aware of his ability to move through water, so he was purposefully keeping his distance.

Coming up with an idea, Minato reached into his pouch, flinging a few shuriken in Fuguki's direction.

"As if that would work on me!" Raising his sword, the big man easily deflected all of the shuriken. Lowering his sword, he noticed that Minato had disappeared.

"Behind!" Feeling a disturbance, he pivoted and slashed down, going for the kill.

"What...?" Abruptly stopping his swing, he realized that there was no one behind him. The thing he had felt was a small toad, hopping around behind him.

"Fuguki! Behind you!" Kushimaru yelled, causing Fuguki to turn around quickly. Behind him, Minato's fist was covered in wind chakra, taking on a blue hue and releasing great pressure.

"Fūton: Senpūken!" (Wind-Release: Whirlwind fist!)

Fuguki was somehow able to raise his big sword, blocking the hit. Then again, because of the raw power, he was sent flying a few meters, landing on his shoulder and losing the blade.

Using this opportunity, Minato flickered again, reappearing near the weapon. Picking it up, he infused chakra into his arms and sent it flying, incrusting into the nearby wall.

"Well done! Show him what you learned!" Resisting the urge to get up from his seat, Jiraiya cheered loudly. Next to him, Dan and Tsunade chuckled, seeing his childish demeanor.

Uncaring for their opinion, he continued cheering Minato on.
