111: Trap

Trap

"This brat..." Engulfed by Jun's killer intent, Kakuzu felt a chill run down his spine. Retreating a little, he couldn't believe what was happening. 2

"I can't let him grow into a bigger threat..."

Letting out a bass-like growl, Kakuzu's body contorted like a rag-doll as massive amounts of hair burst out of every slit in his body.

All of the strands fused to form a giant, octopus-like set of tentacles around his body. Next to his face, only two of the original four masks remained.

Down in the crater, Jun looked up at the inhumane Kakuzu... His reserves were rapidly plummeting after having used Yari so many times.

This filled jun with frustration. When he had finally found a worthy opponent, he couldn't enjoy the moment to the fullest. 'It's a shame, but I'll have to end this quickly.'

Interrupting his thoughts, grey strands of hair shot out of the ground, wrapping around his hands and feet, restraining his movements.

'Fast...!' Jun had been caught off guard.

Watching him from above, Kakuzu cackled as the two masks next to his face opened their mouths.

"Die... Kimen no Bakuen!"

Kakuzu watched as a massive destructive flair leveled the crater some more, creating an even bigger dent on the ground.

'There's no way he lived through that...' Suspicious, Kakuzu waited patiently for the flames to die out before confirming it. Once they did, Jun was nowhere to be seen.

'There should at least be a charred corpse... He escaped.' Looking around, Kakuzu stayed on guard. Last time this happened, Jun had ripped one of his hearts out.

Inside a nearby tree, Jun observed Kakuzu as he analyzed the situation.

With his chakra almost depleted, he had to end the battle with the next move. By using the surface merging technique to escape, he wasn't doing himself any favors either. He could feel his reserves plummeting.

'By taking out all that hair, it seems like he wants to fight from a longer range... He's wary of Yari.' Clearly, Kakuzu was taking measures to prevent any more of his hearts from getting pierced. 'If I want to end this, I'll have to destroy all of them at once...'

Suddenly, an idea was birthed in Jun's head; Maybe, those tentacle-like hairs weren't to fight him from a long-distance... Just maybe...

Making up his mind, Jun phased out of the ground and flickered next to Kakuzu, unsheathing his tanto sword.

Reacting swiftly, Kakuzu turned around and blocked the slash with his hair, throwing a punch Jun's way.

Blocking it, Jun used his Sharingan to its full potential, avoiding every strand of hair as he moved gracefully, slashing out parts of Kakuzu's body.

With both of his arms now cut off, Kakuzu growled and re-attached them, preparing another blast from his masks.

Seeing this, Jun stopped for a second, performing a 'dragon' seal with his left hand while red electricity gathered in his right.

'What is that jutsu...?' With a frightened expression, Kakuzu stared the crimson electricity. The chirping sounds it produced gave him piercing pain in his ears.

'I have to finish this quickly.'

Releasing the mask's blast, Kakuzu watched for the second time as everything in front of him was burnt to pieces.

Just when he was about to search for Jun's location one more time, the Uchiha flickered behind him.

"Shokei!"

Roaring, Jun pierced one of Kakuzu's masks, obliterating it.

"I've got you now!" Enduring the pain from having his heart and mask destroyed, Kakuzu wrapped his hair around Jun's arm, keeping it ingrained within his body.

Cackling, Kakuzu slightly turned his head, eyeing Jun. "With your technique, you can only pierce one of my hearts... By sacrificing one of them, I trapped you."

As his words trailed off, the last remaining mask slowly crawled from his chest to his back, facing Jun.

"I'll admit that you're strong... But this is the end of the road, brat."
