Chapter 101 – Zayla is not my fiancé.
Robin was stunned by the request. He did not know anything about cooking. Even if he did, there was no kitchen at the hospital for him to cook in, which meant he would have to leave her alone, just as she wanted. 2
He pursed his lips, and an idea crossed his mind.
"What? Do you want to die? You know that I have never handled cooking utensils in my life before," he expressed his concern.
Sabrina was getting excited. Since he wanted to be around her, she would do her best to frustrate him and for him to leave.
"You should start learning then. Or should I call Devin to prepare and bring it to me?" She taunted Robin.
Robin did not want to face Devin again.
He would only make a mockery of Robin's weakness, and Sabrina was too sure that no matter the time she called Devin, he would wake up and cook for her.
Whereas she did not see that in Robin. He would never go to the kitchen, but to her amazement, Robin agreed but also with a warning,
"Alright. You have to promise me one thing. If I make the salad, you have to eat it, no matter how horrible it tastes."
Sure thing, Robin had a solution to any problem. He was ready to use a cookbook to prepare the salad if only she would eat it. Sabrina grimaced at the warning. For Robin to cook for her?
"I'm not hungry anymore. Goodnight," She quickly changed her mind. Robin was relieved but also worried for her health. She did not eat last night before being knocked out by the antibiotics, so indeed, she'd be hungry.
"You have to eat, Sabrina?" Robin said in a gentle tone while he smiled sweetly at her. Sabrina felt like she was seeing a stranger by the way he kept treating her.
Then again, she felt it was just because of the pregnancy and rebuked herself for even thinking that he'd genuinely care about her.
"I already said that I'm not hungry," she snarled, turned to her side facing the wall, and forced herself back to sleep.
By the time she woke up again, Robin had changed his clothes and was looking very handsome. Daniel had passed by to bring the clothes for him, which he kept in the hospital closet since it was a VIP ward.
Sabrina could also smell varieties of food and instantly felt hungry. However, she felt embarrassed to ask Robin for the food and rather asked,
"Did you shower in this ward?"
"Is anything wrong with that?" Robin asked in return. Sabrina pursed her lips when her stomach rumbled. Knowing that Robin had heard it, she meant to taunt him again and asked,
"Did you prepare my salad?"
Robin brought the tray of different delicacies, and her mouth watered whiles he said, "I didn't know what you'd like, so I ordered everything I could think of."
Looking at the varieties of hot steaming foods, Sabrina thought to empty her bladder first and said,
"I will use the bathroom first."
Robin smirked and put the tray aside while he said,
"Let me call the nurse to remove the IV first."
"I can hold it. I will be careful," Sabrina declined, not wanting to wait so long for the nurse when she was so pressed. Robin smiled and said,
"Or I can go in there with you. I mean, we were married for three years and have seen each other naked most of the time."
Sabrina felt blood climbing up her cheeks at the way Robin was being flirtatious with her. She bit her lips and sneered, "Thanks, but I can do so myself."
She did not understand the reason why her mind instantly traveled to her last night at the villa, the same night he brought Zayla and threatened not to sign the divorce papers if she did not have sex with him.
When Sabrina returned, Robin helped her to eat before eating the remaining dishes and throwing the leftovers away. When she sat on the bed, Robin said,
"I told Devin to come with your laptop because you might not react to the IV the same way you did last night. You can still work from here, and no one would notice that you are not in your office."
Sabrina found his suggestion laudable and agreed but decided to tease him again. "So, you left your pregnant fiancé alone? What if someone goes in there and rapes her?"
Robin frowned at her choice of words. He knew that she was being kind to even tolerate his presence but feared she might turn evil because of all the pain he caused her.
"Sabrina, I've never known you to have an evil mind towards anyone."
Sabrina chuckled and did not show any remorse on her face.
"I don't have an evil mind. I'm just saying that you should be with her because I have my family to take care of me."
Again, she was pushing him away, and that saddened Robin's heart. He only had one person to blame, and that was Martin.
"You want me to leave for that imbecile Martin to come here, isn't it?" Robin was afraid that Sabrina was falling in love with Martin, and it made his heart heavy.
Sabrina saw the anguish on his face and enjoyed it even more whiles she taunted again,
"That's more like it, and I'm missing him a lot."
Robin's fingers balled tightly into a fist while he forced himself to be calm and kill the jealousy swimming through his blood. He suddenly scowled,
"Congrats, cos I can assure you that he would not dare to come near you except for business."
Sabrina liked the fact that her words made him upset and continued to do so, feeling that if he did not like it, then he would advise himself not to show his face at the hospital again.
"Now, you sound like a jealous husband, but we are divorced. This reaction should be meant for your fiancé.
Robin was upset with hearing that word over, and over, again, and unknowingly released his anger on her.
"She is not my fiancé!" Robin yelled. Seeing that Sabrina was startled, his voice softened, and he said,
"She is just my girlfriend."
