Chapter 259 - I love you Sabrina, I know in my heart…

Sabrina felt he was right but then again, Zayla and her father succeeded in playing everybody like a game of chess, including Robin's father and mother.0

The game began even before Sabrina saw Robin for the first time but she had to admit that it was wrong for her to have been the one to give out Robin's health information. 

She did not have the right to do that.

"I'm sorry. I loved you so much and I just thought you could love me without the sacrifices. I had no idea that Zayla took advantage of it," Sabrina apologized and Robin's heart warmed since she took part of the blame.

"I understand but things are clear between us and Zayla is no longer a part of our lives. Please tell me, what does this mean for us?" Robin asked with hope, as he turned her to face him. 

Sabrina lowered her head. It was this same house where she experienced all that but he brought her back here on a date that started well but right now, she was filled with uncertainties.

"I don't know."

Robin's heart sank. He hoped that this would allow them to start something like from the stage of a girlfriend and he could propose to her with time and marry her again after.

"You have to know because you were partly a part of the problem. She used you to get to me because you were too kind. Sabrina, I hurt you because of her. You became the scapegoat and I can't forgive myself for all those years I thought wrongly of you."

Sabrina hoped that he wasn't asking her to marry him again because she was afraid to be locked with the monster she used to share her bed and her body with again.

"So, what are you saying?" She asked seriously, Robin thought for a while and revealed,

"What I mean is, I want my wife back." 

Sabrina felt her heart tighten in her chest. When she left, she did not have the intention to ever return but things have changed. 

Zayla has been brought to justice and she also admitted her contribution to the source of the problem. 

Regardless, she still could not help but feel scared that Robin might just change back to who she always knew him to be.

Sabrina did not have it in her to face that person again. Robin took her hands when she looked away, forcing her to face him again.

There was pain in his eyes but there was also a zeal and determination attached to it.

 "I love you Sabrina, I know in my heart that it's only you, and I am willing to do anything and everything, just to make you mine again."

Sabrina wanted to pull her hand away, as she did not know how to refuse when he looked so vulnerable.

Robin's hand tightened around hers and he continued to plead with her, 

"Please, Sabrina, give me the chance to right all the wrongs in this same villa where it all began. Let me show you that I'm not the man you married before. Let me heal the pain I caused you with the love I have come to understand."

A tear dropped from his eyes, and at the same time, one dropped from Sabrina's eyes. 

She felt the need to talk to someone because she did not want to make the same mistakes again.

"Robin, you only realized that you love me after our divorce so let's leave it that way. You might just change back into the monster husband you were. I like you this," she finally said but Robin's heart was greatly pained.

He knew that all that mattered to him now was Sabrina's happiness. For as long as she was happy, he would be fine.

Whereas, he also could not help the subtle possessiveness in him, that refused to allow her to be away from him. 

He was not ready to lose her again and lifted himself, not to his feet but rather knees.

If he had to sleep on the floor for her to walk all over him, he was sure that he would do it, if only she would give him a second chance.

"Sabrina, I promise that I will be better if you give me another chance. I will make up for all the pain I caused you."

Sabrina was confused. She didn't want any legalities to bind them, knowing the kind of person Robin was. 

If she gave him a chance and he proved to be the same person he was before, he would never grant her another divorce.

She also knew that she was just lucky by the way the previous one happened. If not, she would have been forced to remain in a miserable marriage.

It was also just like that night when he threatened to not give her a divorce if she refused to perform her marital duties. 

Robin was domineering and the only reason why he was vulnerable now was that he wanted her.

Sabrina felt that if he had her, he would be back to the Robin he used to be.

"Robin, it's been two to three months since our divorce and I have changed a lot. I am no longer the woman who used to tolerate all the stupid things you did before. I have felt the sting of love and I'm not willing to endure it anymore."

Robin smiled bitterly. He caused her too much shame, bitterness, and embarrassment, which was difficult to amend but he still believed that in her heart, he still had a place and would do anything to occupy it again.

"So, what can I do to make it up to you?" He asked seriously, still on his knees. 

Sabrina looked into his eyes with her teary gaze and could not wipe them since he wouldn't let go of her hand.

She spoke seriously,

"If you want me back, then you have to work harder. I need to be sure that you have indeed changed and would remain that way if we are back together again."
