Chapter 272 – They Are What I Feel in My Heart
Robin arrived a little late because he had to pick up some beautiful roses on the way. He made sure to pick up one of the largest bouquets available, and luckily, Daniel had not arrived yet.2
When Robin arrived at the mansion, he was greeted by Sabrina at the door instead of the maid. She smiled at the sight of the roses, took them from him, and hugged him.
"They are lovely. I love them," Sabrina said.
Robin wasn't surprised, as he knew how much she loved flowers, but he was happy that she was happy.
"They are, but not as much as you," Robin replied.
Sabrina smiled shyly, wondering when Robin had become so sweet with his words. He had never used to say such things to her before.
Curious about this change in him, she asked, "Where did you learn to say such words?"
There was amusement in her tone, so Robin knew she was asking in a teasing way. He answered truthfully,
"I didn't learn it. They are what I feel in my heart."
Sabrina's cheeks burned, and she felt giddy like a teenager. However, she didn't want to get ahead of herself, as they had agreed to take things slow and focus on their friendship.
"Breakfast is ready," she announced, diverting her attention from their conversation.
"How is Dad? Isn't he eating?" Robin asked, noticing that the middle-aged man was not at the table.
It was just him and Sabrina, sitting across from each other at the large dining table.
"He already had his breakfast, and Lizzy has refused to eat because she has a date with Daniel," Sabrina explained why the table was empty.
Robin already knew that Devin and Matilda had returned to the penthouse, so he didn't ask about them. Instead, he asked,
"How are the twins?"
"In the womb," Sabrina answered sarcastically, but there was also amusement in her tone. Robin asked longingly,
"You know what I mean, my queen. Can I touch?"
Apart from the time they spent at the villa when his hands rested on her bump, he hadn't had the chance to feel the babies again. It had been almost a week.
Robin was excited for her next antenatal appointment in three days, as it meant they could go on the trip he had promised her.
That was one of the reasons why he wasn't too concerned about the hacker's location being spotted.
"We have the whole day. You can touch them later. Let's eat first," Sabrina smiled and began eating. Robin realized something and asked her,
"Wait, were you waiting for me?"
Caught off guard, Sabrina was embarrassed, and her cheeks reddened.
"Don't flatter yourself. I just wanted to shower first."
Robin knew it wasn't the truth. He was happy that she had waited for him, knowing she used to do it when they were married, but he had never cared to ask.
He realized she must have been starving herself by then because of him. Her action touched his heart, but it also made him feel guilty.
"Thanks for waiting for me, but considering your condition, you should always eat on time, okay?" Robin said, feeling remorseful.
Sabrina didn't deny it this time and retorted,
"Then you should always arrive early when you make a promise."
Robin smiled, appreciating how she voiced her displeasure about him being late for breakfast. He defended himself,
"How is it my fault? I was thinking about you all through the night. I even dreamt about us getting married after you delivered the twins."
Sabrina smiled and shook her head, her cheeks growing even redder.
"Your food is getting cold," she said, changing the subject.
Robin was enjoying teasing her and making her blush. He loved the way she reacted to his words, wanting to say more to her.
"Sabrina, Daniel is here, so I'm leaving," Lizzy broke the silence from behind them before seeing Robin and saying, "Oh, Robin, thank goodness you're here. I was afraid she'd be bored."
Robin smiled at Lizzy and said, "Don't worry. I'll keep her entertained."
Sabrina wondered what kind of entertainment he meant, but she kept her questions to herself, and they continued eating in silence.
"Robin, can you pause the food for a while and spare me five minutes?" Daniel asked from the doorway. Sabrina frowned a little, and before Robin could respond, she answered on his behalf,
"Daniel, you should let him eat first."
Daniel was amazed by her response, realizing that Sabrina's love for Robin hadn't died as they had expected.
Zayla's confession must have shed light on it. He swallowed tightly and responded,
"Agreed, ma'am, but this is super urgent, and my food at home is also getting cold."
He was hinting that the food Lizzy was going to eat for breakfast was getting cold. Sabrina sighed and obliged,
"You have five minutes."
"Yes, ma'am, or maybe less," Daniel said eagerly. He was thrilled that she was behaving this way and not her usual cold self.
"Alright, I'm watching the time," Sabrina glanced at the screen of her phone and spoke. Robin smiled and went to meet Daniel.
It felt like she was being possessive of him, and he loved it. He loved how she was showing her affection for him.
"This time, I located him in Moscow," Daniel said. Robin frowned a little, knowing they might need a day or two to catch him.
"So far. We'll have to go by jet," Robin suggested.
Daniel shook his head, unsure if they would be able to land in the location like last time. It wasn't a place he had been to before.
"What if we can't find a place to land?" he asked. Robin reconsidered and offered a different suggestion,
"You're right. A chopper will do. But is it confirmed?"
Daniel thought for a moment and responded, "He's been there for twelve hours. That's the longest I've ever tracked him."
Robin had mixed feelings, but joy dominated his emotions.
Finally, Mara would be exposed to the world, even if he had to be away for a while.
"So, we need to move now?" he asked seriously, not wanting to leave right away because of Sabrina.
