Chapter 285 – I will rather die than harm my child

Her words had deeply wounded Martin, leaving him feeling as though his heart had been pierced.  1

However, he consoled himself by believing that her behavior was a result of her own distress.

Overtime, as Sabrina gradually moved on from Robin, Martin was certain that she would start to notice him and eventually fall in love with him.

Additionally, he couldn't help but mention her pregnancy, finding himself annoyed by the sight of her growing bump. 

Ever since Robin had expressed his desire to see her in clothes that accentuated her belly, Sabrina had made a point to always wear such outfits without Martin's knowledge.

Little did she know, that very bump was causing Martin to feel irritated and upset with her.

"You're only saying these things because of that thing growing inside you. Once we leave this city, we'll get rid of it, and you'll be free from him."

Sabrina's face turned pale in an instant, but the knowledge that Robin was in the country filled her with a surge of boldness. 

She spoke with determination, "I would rather die than harm my child."

Unbeknownst to Sabrina, Martin had already devised a plan to cause her miscarriage, but he saw no need to inform her of it. 

He sneered, "We shall see about that. And if you think anyone is coming to rescue you, think again. Once we pass those rocks, no one will be able to track us."

Sabrina froze, her hopes shattered. Little did she know that Martin was aware her phone was being tracked, but the worst part was what he had just revealed. 

Desperation overcame her, and she dropped her pride, pleading, "Martin, please let me go. We can still be friends. Please don't do this."

Martin remained unmoved. After all his failed attempts, this was his first taste of success so how could he let her slip through his fingers? 

"I'm not like Robin. He can be your friend, but I want you as my wife."

Sabrina's stomach churned, and tears welled up in her eyes. Just as Martin had said, as soon as they passed the rocks, her phone vibrated and the network dropped.

Holding her disappointed gaze, Martin reassured her, 

"You don't need to worry about them. I'll take good care of you. You can cooperate willingly, or I can use force."

"I despise you, Martin. I hope you suffer in hell," Sabrina cursed, her pain intensifying as she noticed the smile on his face.

Suddenly, darkness enveloped everything, leaving Sabrina unable to see. However, the driver continued to move.

"Where are we? What is this place?" Sabrina panicked, while Martin remained calm and replied, 

"Relax. This is my secret entrance to my mansion, which is why the police your brother sent couldn't arrest me. Once we have my sister, we'll all disappear."

Sabrina felt a surge of heat, tears welling up in her eyes. She worried about her father's reaction and the concern of those who cared about her.

"Martin, please. My father has health issues. It would devastate him to know I'm missing," she pleaded.

Martin remained unaffected and retorted, "That old man doesn't care about me, so why should I care about him?"

The only thing Sabrina felt in that moment was an overwhelming surge of hatred towards the man by her side. Little did she know, she had been unknowingly associating with the devil himself all along.

Every instance of his supposed care and willingness to fulfill her desires was nothing more than an act. 

This was his true nature, and Sabrina couldn't help but wonder who was more heartless between him and Mara.

"We've arrived home, but we won't be long. Just enough time for me to figure out how we can cross the border without being detected. I'll find some clothes for you to disguise yourself," he said.

Trembling, Sabrina couldn't help but feel fear as he circled around and opened the car door, urging her to step out after making that threat.

Due to her condition, she refrained from engaging in any confrontations or actions that could put the safety of the twins she was carrying at risk. 

Additionally, deep in her heart, she admitted that if Robin were to rescue her from Martin and offer to be her husband again, she wouldn't mind taking that marital risk rather than spending the rest of her life with Martin.

"Since you already know, allow me to introduce my sister, Mara," Martin stated, causing Sabrina to turn pale as she caught sight of the woman lying on the bed. 

Memories of the scandalous circulation of Mara's pictures, which occurred when Devin was attempting to clear Matilda's name, flooded back to her.

"Martin, couldn't you have knocked?" Mara asked, clearly annoyed as her gaze locked with Sabrina's. 

She despised Sabrina and secretly wished for a chance to confront her. Given the opportunity, she would eliminate Sabrina before Martin even had a chance to find out.

I never knock. I'll have Anna prepare you. We need to leave immediately," Martin stated firmly. 

However, Mara hesitated to leave with Sabrina, knowing that Martin would no longer pay attention to her.

"I don't want to go. You've brought her here, and now the whole world will be searching for her. Robin has involved the media, security personnel, and transportation agencies," Mara explained, trying to convince Martin of the gravity of the situation.

Martin froze, shocked by the news. 

"What are you talking about?" he asked, confused.

Mara took out her phone and showed him the article. The headline read, 

'Martin Dane, CEO of Dane Industries, kidnaps pregnant wife of Robin Jewel, CEO of Jewel Group of Companies. Authorities urged to rescue Mrs. Sabrina Jewel.'

Martin's face turned pale as he turned to Sabrina. 

"You said he was your friend. When did you become his wife?" he asked, his voice filled with disbelief.

Sabrina stared at him coldly and replied, "Robin has always been the only man I love. He is the only man I will ever love. I hate you, Martin Dane."
