Chapter 305 – Sabrina’s Assertive Attitude
Shandra, clearly irritated, couldn't comprehend why Sabrina had suddenly become such a thorn in her side.
"Sabrina, what are you up to this time?" she asked, her annoyance evident in her voice.
Sabrina, remaining calm, replied,
"It's not me, it's you. If you had been responsible and transferred the money yesterday, you would have been able to see Robin. But instead, you wasted time."
Robin couldn't help but stifle a laugh, though he had to do so discreetly since the phone was on speaker.
Sabrina's response left him speechless; he struggled to find the right words to describe her and the situation.
Confused, Shandra asked impatiently, her grip on the phone tightening as her anger grew,
"What are you talking about?"
Sabrina, still composed, explained,
"Robin is recovering at home, and unfortunately, I don't allow anyone who isn't a close friend or family member into our house."
Upon hearing this, Shandra's face lit up with a smile, thinking this was her chance to enter the villa.
"I am a friend of Robin's," she confidently stated, only to pale when she heard Sabrina's response.
"But you are not my friend. My friends are Robin's friends, and vice versa. Therefore, I cannot allow you into our home."
Shandra's teeth ground together. She had never been a friend of Sabrina's and had no desire to be.
But how could Sabrina accept the money and then act this way?
"Yet you took the money," Shandra accused, hoping to provoke a reaction from Sabrina and finally gain permission to speak to Robin.
She didn't want him to miss the dinner she had organized with her father.
She was certain that with her father's authority, Robin wouldn't be able to refuse. But with Sabrina standing in her way, Shandra felt powerless.
"You didn't inform me before sending it, and I can send it back if you want," Sabrina replied, unfazed by the money. It was clear she had never intended to use it.
Shandra didn't want to reveal her true reason for wanting to see Robin to Sabrina. She decided to push the limits of Sabrina's patience as she spoke from the other end of the line.
"I need to see Robin. It's extremely urgent."
Sabrina smiled and agreed, but it wasn't the response Shandra had expected.
"Okay. You can see him in his office on Monday, or you can leave me a message to pass along when I think it's the right time for him to know."
Robin covered his face with a pillow and chuckled into it, pleasantly surprised by Sabrina's sense of humor and entertained by her remarks.
"Sabrina..." Shandra began, but Sabrina interrupted her abruptly, her tone icy,
"Make your decision now. You have thirty seconds."
Shandra froze on the other end of the line, knowing that Sabrina was once again playing with time.
She wouldn't be shocked if Sabrina started demanding outrageous amounts again.
"What were my options again?" Shandra asked humbly.
Sabrina smiled slightly before responding,
"You can wait until Monday, or I can refund your money and you won't see him at all. After the thirty seconds, I will resume charging for my services," she warned sternly.
Shandra felt a bead of sweat forming on her forehead.
However, she relaxed as she thought about playing Sabrina's game.
Once she had the chance to see Robin and take him away from Sabrina, they would see who truly mattered in Robin's life.
"Alright. I'll meet him at his office on Monday," Shandra said hesitantly, desperately wishing she could rid Robin of Sabrina once and for all.
Sabrina didn't respond, abruptly ending the call. Robin gazed at her with admiration, his desire for her growing as he asked,
"So, what happens on Monday?"
Sabrina grinned mischievously and replied, "I'll be in your office until your business talk is finished."
Robin chuckled and shook his head, feeling a sense of relief.
Sabrina's bossy demeanor only made her more attractive to him, so he politely requested,
"Please come closer, my queen. I have something to tell you."
Sabrina didn't read too much into his words and moved closer as he asked.
Just as she was about to turn her head, Robin passionately kissed her, his lips engulfing hers.
When she tried to pull away, he used his hand to hold her head in place, exploring her mouth with his tongue. They both ended up breathless, and Sabrina's face turned beet red.
Sabrina blinked at Robin in shock because she remembered that she hadn't given him his painkillers yet, but he seemed stronger than her in his current state.
Robin didn't know how to interpret her reaction and quickly apologized,
"I'm sorry. You just look so irresistible when you're being bossy."
Sabrina shook her head, smiled, and said playfully, "You're lucky we're past the point where you couldn't kiss me without permission."
Robin let out a sigh of relief, realizing that his actions hadn't offended Sabrina as he had initially feared. Feeling playful, he decided to tease her a little.
"So, does that mean you should give me more kisses then?" he asked, his voice filled with desire.
Sabrina could sense that he wasn't joking, but she still expressed concern about his injury.
"Be careful with your injury," she cautioned.
Undeterred, Robin shook his head and insisted,
"Trust me, kisses heal faster than medications and food."
Sabrina chuckled, unable to resist his charm, and their lips met once again. A soft moan escaped her, much to Robin's satisfaction, as he sensed her growing desire for him.
Breaking away from the kiss, Robin suggested,
"I haven't been able to take you for walks because of my condition. How about we find another way to exercise?"
Pretending not to understand, Sabrina raised an eyebrow and asked,
"What other means of exercise are you referring to?"
Despite her playful demeanor, there was a hint of intimidation in her aura, though her lips remained stretched with amusement.
Robin's face flushed with embarrassment as he struggled to find his voice. Despite his efforts, fear gripped him, rendering him unable to speak.2
He worried that his lack of control over his desires would jeopardize everything he had worked for.
He clenched his mouth shut, hoping to avoid any further humiliation.
However, Sabrina was not willing to let him off the hook so easily. With a smile that only intensified Robin's anxiety, she pressed him, saying, "I'm waiting..."
