Chapter 209 – Sabrina’s strange request
Sabrina woke up to a knock on her door which was weird because of how she always woke up early for work and also found it strangely more difficult to detach herself from her bed.2
Checking the time, it was already 8 am when she should have been at work by now.
She yawned, wondering why her sleep was not enough, and murmured whilst rolling her duvet to the side,
"Come in."
A maid walked in with her breakfast and she was confused.
They always ate breakfast together like a family.
"Why have you brought my breakfast to my room?" She asked in a sleepy voice and yawned again.
"Everybody had breakfast already so I brought yours and Mr. Jewel is waiting by the car."
"Oh," Sabrina cooed, feeling lazy and just wanting to sleep some more.
Then she realized that everyone must have left for work and Matilda to her culinary school.
No one cared about her transportation these days because of Robin and they wouldn't want to disturb her sleep either because of her condition but the only reason why the maid did so was because she was worried that Sabrina would be hungry or not well since she had not informed anyone that she wouldn't go to work.
Then her stomach rumbled so she said to the maid,
"Tell Robin to come in and wait." She paused and shook her head, "No. I will tell him myself," she said and walked out with her disheveled hair forgetting that she had just woken up.
She was wearing a silky pajama which was not transparent but her hard breast and nipple poked through the fabric which she did not notice because she had not looked into the mirror.
Robin was quite disturbed when he saw her like that.
At times like this, she would have already gotten dressed and ready for work so he asked,
"Are you alright dear one?"
Sabrina yawned a little, covering her mouth with her hand.
"I'm fine, sorry I just woke up. Please come and wait inside."
Robin understood it was because of the pregnancy and wanted her to rest more if she wanted whilst he helped her out in the office but he already knew that she wouldn't want that and followed her to the living room.
As she passed by the kitchen, whatever they were
cooking wafted through her nose and was not welcomed by her, rousing her nausea.
Sabrina found herself running to the guest toilet, and emptying everything in her stomach.
Robin followed her and acting on impulse, he squatted beside her and just gathered her long, thick hair to the side to prevent them from mixing with puke.
Sabrina continued to bring out everything in her stomach while Robin wished to help her out but realized that the only help he could offer was what he was doing momentarily.
After that, he rubbed her back gently and she froze when the realization dawned on her that they were in the visitor's toilet together.
It was an uneasy feeling because even when they were married, they never used the bathroom together.
Robin only entertained her in bed. He never showed any form of affection either, which made his gentle actions all strange and shocking to her.
Matilda's words kept ringing in her mind that Robin had changed but then again, Sabrina would counter it with the thought that Matilda said it because she did not encounter what she encountered with Robin.
Robin was just doing whatever it was to relieve her of whatever she was feeling and had no idea that his actions felt strange to her.
"Are you alright?" He asked so softly in a voice she had never heard before, wondering if this was the same man who used to be so cold and aloof towards her.
Then his eyes carried so much love and care, also something she never saw before. The were usually emotionless.
However, something else was happening to Sabrina.
There was something about Robin that calmed her nausea when he got close to her and she figured it out quickly.
"I want your shirt."
Robin froze slightly, as her request seemed odd to him.
His reaction made Sabrina correct herself and she rather said,
"Oh, your blazer."
"What?"
Robin was still aghast and confused but he had already removed it and helped her up when she was rising to her feet.
She washed her face and rinsed her mouth and after drying her face and hands with a towel, Robin was shocked to see her sniffling the blazer he gave to her.
It took a while for him to realize what was going on that due to her pregnancy hormones, she was liking the scent of his cologne.
His heart warmed with joy and he felt like the twins in her womb were desiring for him but also made a mental note to buy some of his cologne for her, so she could have his scent with her at all times.
Robin was happy that God knew his change of heart for things to be working in his favor since this was the first time Sabrina asked him for anything on her own accord.
Also, she did not seem annoyed by his presence and was not hostile, rather welcoming, though not in a massive way.
Robin was grateful for it because he never expected it.
"Please give me a few minutes. I will shower and get dressed," Sabrina said, a little hastily.
Robin was concerned about her morning sickness and did not want to rush her.
"Just relax. I'm not in a hurry," he said and sat on the sofa.
He had a lot to do but Sabrina was his priority and for whatever would make her happy, he would do so for her.
Sabrina was about to go upstairs before remembering breakfast and asking,
"Have you eaten already?"
This was the first time after their divorce that Sabrina ever showed the slightest care for him in his face but he did not want her to be worried about him and responded,
"No, but I'm not hungry."
Her reply made his jaw drop.
"My breakfast would be enough for two. I will bring it over."
