Chapter 102 - I have my dad, and I have Devin. I don’t need you, Robin

"She is not my fiancé!" Robin yelled. Seeing that Sabrina was startled, his voice softened, and he said, "She is just my girlfriend."0

Sabrina gulped, too shocked by his reaction and denial of Zayla. Was it because she was not here? She somewhat found Robin's reaction entertaining and decided to taunt him further.

"But she wears your ring."

"That's because she wanted it, but I never proposed," Robin revealed.

Sabrina knew that Robin would not lie. He would rather bullshit or force his way through the situation but hardly would he call black, red.

Now she wondered how their relationship had been. Perhaps she was driven by curiosity, but she wanted to know.

"But you have been fucking her."

"After that drunk night, I never touched her again."

Sabrina was wide-eyed for Robin to be saying that when he lived under the same roof with Zayla. She remembered that each time Robin came home to the villa, he would release all his energy on her but still have some by morning to fuck those whores.

"Now, that is hard to believe, but hey, why are you even telling me?" She asked under her breath. Taunting Robin was only bringing back memories she was trying to bury, and now, she was regretting it.

"Because you keep bringing her up," Robin sighed and said before bringing an important matter to the table. "Here's the thing, if you have any difficulties in the office, you can count on me, okay?"

He had gone back to that gentility that kept poking her in the rib. Sabrina pursed her lips and refused his kindness again,

"I have my dad, and I have Devin. I don't need you, Robin."

Robin was hurt by her response but smiled, knowing that he had done worse to her. He was always cold towards her, even before the divorce, and it would not be easy for her to see the changes in him.

"Since we are expecting a child together, don't you think that we should live peacefully for his or her sake?" Robin requested.

Sabrina shook her head, feeling there was more to that innocent request. "What do you want, Robin?" She asked seriously.

"Friendship," Robin responded earnestly. Sabrina could not refuse since she was carrying his child.

"Fine. Friends."

Robin smiled as his heart warmed. "I think your family is here, so can I get a hug before I leave?" Seeing her raised brows, he quickly added, "To seal our friendship, I mean."

Sabrina shook her head and responded,

"You wish."

Robin was saddened because only he knew how much he missed her closeness. He always thought that he could get everything he got from Sabrina from Zayla or any other woman, but the first time Zayla cooked for him, it was a disaster, and that wish was gone.

Meanwhile, the first time he ate Sabrina's food was when he stopped eating out. He got addicted to her food, and that was when he began to explore her sexy body as well. He was never disappointed with both.

Sadly, as soon as Sabrina stepped out of his life, even his sexual life was crushed. It was too late for him to realize that just as she kept giving without taking back, she slowly stole his heart and soul, for which reason he could not get her out of his mind.

"Come on, Sabrina, just for friendship's sake."

"Get out, Robin. I will die before I hug you," Sabrina said coldly. The seriousness in her voice made Robin end his request, but he also left with a warning,

"Never say never, dear one. You never know what the future holds," he said and left, leaving Sabrina stunned.

'Dear one? Did Robin just call me that?'

Robin had never used pet names before, and Sabrina was wondering what was causing all these changes she was seeing in him.

While she thought it over, a smile stretched her lips at the sight of Matilda and Devin. They hugged her in turns before Devin asked,

"So, how was your night? I hope he didn't try anything stupid?"

Matilda frowned a little, knowing that Robin would do nothing to hurt Sabrina. Sabrina chuckled and responded,

"There is nothing he can do."

"Did you eat the food I brought last night?" Matilda recalled when she brought out the packed breakfast and lunch she had cooked for her this morning in a flask.

"You brought food?" Sabrina asked, making Matilda pause her movement. She went to check the nightstand where she dropped the food and lifted it.

"It is here." Then she opened it and frowned, "It's gone bad."

Sabrina felt terrible that Matilda's effects were wasted. "Robin didn't tell me, but I wasn't hungry, though."

Since Matilda did not want her to blame Robin much, she quickly brushed it aside and said, "Anyway, I brought you breakfast and lunch."

Sabrina felt guiltier. She was not expecting Matilda to do so much for her and did not bother asking before eating what Robin had brought her.

"I already ate breakfast."

"From where?" Devin asked seriously. He wanted Sabrina to eat only healthy meals and wondered what Robin must have given her. He did not trust Robin to take care of Sabrina anyway.

"I don't know, but I woke up, and it was here. Last night, I wanted to taunt him to make him cook for me."

"Good, did you?" Devin asked with interest, knowing that Robin couldn't. Sabrina smiled and explained,

"He said I would have to eat whatever he makes even if it tasted horrible."

"I won't take that chance," Matilda smiled and said, happy for how smart Robin was to have found a way of escape.

"Exactly why I didn't," Sabrina agreed. Matilda observed her and pointed out,

"Now you look better. I think you should shower and change," she suggested since Sabrina was still in her work clothes from yesterday. Sabrina quickly agreed because she was equally tired of the formal wear.

Devin lifted a laptop bag and said, "I will go to the office and here, your laptop. If you need anything else, please call me." He kissed her on the forehead before leaving the ward.

Robin got to the office and was surprised to see Zayla waiting for him at the reception.

"Robin, where exactly have you been?" Zayla demanded, and Robin frowned instantly.
