Chapter 249 - I want to thank you for saving my life
Mara's pain was not because of Martin's harsh words alone.
A greater part of her pain was directed at Sabrina. She smiled but it was a bitter one.
The only way to keep Sabrina away from Martin was to kill either of them and Mara was not ready to lose Martin, which meant that Sabrina must go to an early grave.
"Martin, I'm sorry. I was just afraid that you would no longer have time for me if she came into our lives, just as you are doing now."
Martin was irritated and had no desire to comfort her. Riding to his feet, he spoke in annoyance,
"Let me get some painkillers and freshen up. I need to plan my next move. As soon as I get her over, we shall leave immediately."
"Okay," Mara nodded her head and said, as an evil intent crossed her mind.

At the party, Robin was moving things to a close but people were still sending Sabrina gifts. He did not allow her to touch any of them, leaving them in the hands of a trusted waiter.
The main purpose of the party was achieved and receiving gifts was not one of them.
The end of the party seemed to be the most interesting with more people dancing and drinking.
Even Daniel and Lizzy were busy dancing, the same as Devin and Matilda.
Cobby and the General were the first to exit since they were not interested in so much entertainment.
"Dear one, how was your night?" Robin asked Sabrina, still happy for the fact that she hadn't done anything to push him away but was rather excited all through, especially after the exit of Zayla and her father.
"Well, better than I thought but what do you plan on doing with Zayla?" Sabrina asked and Robin smiled.
At first, he was adamant but since she witnessed everything earlier, Robin went on to say,
"Torture her before sending her to prison after trial. Do you have any requests?"
"No," Sabrina shook her head.
To torture and send Zayla to prison was enough for her for all of Zayla's lies and deception.
"So, you promised to go on two dates with me," Robin reminded her and she turned red.
At that moment, all she perceived were the impossibilities, which she leveraged, not knowing that Robin had a plan.
"Robin, you tricked me."
"Does it matter? We need to talk anyway," Robin pressed on, not wanting to take no for an answer since it was time for them to redefine their relationship.
"Where is the venue?" Sabrina asked thoughtfully since she had never gone on a date with Robin before. What a shame!
"At the villa. I have something to show you there. Your birthday gifts are pending too, and I was also wondering…"
Hearing the villa, Sabrina was a little disappointed, since she wanted to experience a real date but when he added that he had something to show her, she swallowed her worry and also realized that he hadn't concluded his sentence, thereby asking,
"What?"
"Will it be okay with you if I move back to the villa?"
Robin asked carefully, wondering what he would have done if he had given the villa to Zayla. The bitch would have sold it by now.
"It's no longer mine," Sabrina hinted with a little frown, Robin chuckled,
"You know that it's still in your name. Grandma never changed the name on it."
"I don't have use for it," she declined.
Robin wanted the opportunity to right all the wrongs so after thinking through everything and thinking of a place to live, he chose to live where everything started.
Over the day, he could spend every day making the corrections.
"I will move back to the villa but can you help me to put things into perspective there?"
Sabrina was not liking this. It was as if Robin was slowly tying himself around her.
"Robin…"
"We are good friends, remember?" He quickly cut her off and asked, fearing that she would refuse.
Sabrina took a deep breath and said,
"Okay. I will see you tomorrow evening."
Robin shook his head since he no longer had any excuse to be away from her.
"No. I will check on you in the morning before I pick you up in the evening."
Sabrina was a little uneasy with the time, thinking about how and when she had to return home to prepare for work in her pregnant state.
She was nearing her second trimester and energy was slowly kicking in my then,
"We shall return to the mansion, right? I have work on Monday."
Robin smiled bitterly, wondering why she still wanted to be away from him so much but said truthfully,
"Can't you, leave from the villa? You know that we have a lot to talk about."
"We shall not share the same room," Sabrina said in a warning tone, Robin quickly nodded his head, though he wished they could.
"Done. Let me drop you home."
"Okay."
When Robin stood up, he said to Devin, who was returning from the dance floor with Lizzy,
"Daniel has the address of where the people have been sent. You can meet me there after dropping the women at home."
"Okay," Devin smiled and agreed.
Robin snapped a few pictures with Sabrina and the rest of the family before they left the party when some people were still warming up.
Whilst waiting for the valet to bring his car, Robin said to Sabrina, "I want to thank you for saving my life. You never gave me the chance to do so."
A sad smile crossed Sabrina's face before she responded,
"It's nothing and I would have preferred that you didn't know about it."
Robin did not agree with her. "Don't you think it's unfair to think that way?"
"Sometimes it's the best. It helped me to know the kind of person you are," Sabrina said directly, Robin asked her,
"What kind of person am I?"
Sabrina smiled and stared him in the eyes. "I will tell you tomorrow if you don't make me upset."0
The next moment, somebody screamed Robin's name, and before he could respond, two pairs of feminine hands wrapped around him.
"Robin, I finally found you again."
